The best place in Ko Lanta!”
Ko Lanta is probably Thailand's most serene and enjoyable island, and Kantiang Bay is the best place to stay on Ko Lanta. We had an amazing time at Lanta Marine Park View Resort. The staff is very friendly, the bungalows are cozy, it's superbly located and the Resort offers all the services you might need: on site massage, motorbike rentals, laundry service, tour bookings... But probably the best thing about this place is is the Blues Doo bar, where we spent almost all of our evenings. We'll certainly be coming back to Lanta Marine Park View Resort!

One of the best locations on Lanta”
This was my 4th stay at Lanta Marine Park View. I had a room on the 2nd row overlooking the bay of Kantiang. This row still has a decent view of the bay, but not as good as row 1, which have a balcony on the cliff face. The room was clean and tidy, although the main structure was showing signs of weathering. The karaoke from the beach can be annoying at this time of year, but it's not the end of the world. I've stayed there in the lower seasons and it's much quieter. If you want a cheap place to stay and be close to the beach, then this place fits the bill.

Stunning Kantiang”
Lanta Marine Park View is a great place to chill out,The huts are basic but clean The views over Kantiang Bay are amazing and there is some great places to eat. The beach and sea are beautiful and quiet, its well worth going to the next bay down khlong jaak which is even quieter with a few bars and restaurants.

Perfect for the price”
There is no free wi-fi at the hotel at all contrary to what they advertise but do you really need to be on your smart phone/laptop while in such a beautiful area? The room was fine for the money we paid, but if you can afford it, I'd recommend the Baan Lanta resort next door. Their staff seemed more helpful and the restaurant/rooms were much nicer. However, definitely check out the live cover band that plays at the Lanta Marine Park bar at night, they are awesome! The beach here is incredible and not crowded at all. I think the most people I saw on it at one time was 15. Free breakfast was fine. I'd recommend going with the Thai breakfast over the american/continental. And if boiled rice soup isn't enough food for you, head down to the Drunken Sailor for way more delicious options at reasonable prices.

Friendly staff, quiet, great room for divers”
The staff at Marine Park View were friendly and accommodating, offering laundry service, motor scooter rental and other services at competitive rates. They even set me up with a car ride to Old Town for a pretty good price after I tried to rent a scooter and quickly made it clear that I'm not qualified to drive one. The Garden View rooms are great if you're diving - the air-con blows plenty cold, but there's also a full-sized mosquito net if you're like me and sleeping without the A/C helps you equalize the pressure in your ears more easily when diving. The windows do not have screens, however. The bar at the resort is very quiet but there's a pretty decent one just below, accessible by the stairs that lead down the cliff from the resort to the beach. Kantiang Bay is a very quiet area at night and it's pretty isolated from the rest of the island but there's good food in the area and the beach is stunning.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Lanta Marine Park View last year and came back again because the view from our balcony and the staff were so great. We will come back every year for a very long time.

I Stayed here a few months ago, and when a last minute opportunity to travel to Thailand occured, I jumped on it. I was flying into Phuket and out of Krabi, so I figured I would return to Koh Lanta. With that in mind, I immediately booked my stay here. It was just as great and relaxing and BEAUTIFUL as my previous stay. the staff are exceptionally helpful, and Kantiang Bay is gorgeous and calm. Plus it's located right next to Scubafish, so i got my AOW while I was here. I would book a 3rd time here in an instant.

amazing views over kantiang bay!”
we were pleasantly surprised by the lanta marine park view resort. the bay view rooms were excellent with unbelievable views. the rooms are simple but comfortable with hot water showers and air con. the beach is seconds away down a steer stair case... it's a great location. staff were friendly and helpful. i would definitely stay here again on lanta. perfect if you're looking for a relatively quiet getaway but with a few smaller bar options.

the hotels location is great. very quiet area on its own little isolated bay it shares with 1 or 2 other resorts. lots of stairs, so maybe not great for people with young children or elderly people, but it was good exercise! the room was small and did smell a little. had bare minimums but it was a place to sleep and the location was so great we had no complaints. for the price, it was a great place to stay. have been to koh lanta twice before this time, and this is the best place i have stayed. would recommend

So great, I extended my stay!”
I originally chose to stay here because on a map it was very close to the scuba diving school I was attending. I originally intended to move to another place on the island, but the hotel and it's area was so lovely and relaxing that I just talked to the front desk and stayed here for another 4 nights. This was a perfect place to recharge and its views are amazing. It's just a walk down the steps to the beach, the beach bars, and even the resort restaurants. I'm looking forward to returning to this lovely, chill, simple hotel next year for vacation. The staff were so kind, and the on-site massage has the best view ever and the most efficacious Thai massage I've ever had. She was pulling me and kneeling on me and getting out kinks I never realized I had! All while watching the sunset over the bay (and on the other end of the spectrum, I totally fell asleep during an aloe vera massage after getting sunburned the next day. ;) ) 5 stars, a++++, would stay again (plan to stay again).

Great stay! only a few things to mention”
We stayed in the family beach view room pros: amazing view! and great access to beach with a couple of fun bars and restaurants which are reasonably priced. great aircon, clean room, the breakfast included was good (not many options but enough to satisfy). Beds are a bit old but comfortable. pillows comfortable. Heaps of space in the room and bathroom! Staff are so nice! so lovely to deal with and very helpful! Also a great PADI dive shop is located on the road at the end of the drive way - very handy if you're looking to dive! cons: their bar/restaurant had a stunning view but was closes when we were there which was a bummer. It would help to have a mosquito door cover as we would have loved to have slept with the door open and have the cool sea breeze (not really a con just would be a bonus). There was a corner with ants but they kept to themselves. There's no WIFI in the room but we knew that when booking. The Wi-Fi avaliable in the dining area is actually good otherwise. The room/bathroom is clean but old, doesn't need a bit of TLC. The pipe near the toilet was also a bit leaky (only with water). overall the laid back vibe of the place and the friendly staff made for a very enjoyable stay. All the cons were easily forgotten during our stay but worth mentioning. Would stay again!

Basic Rooms in a fantastic location”
we loved staying in koh lanta and no better place than here. we had the garden view rooms which were basic, but you are moments from the beach. the staff were great and very helpful. the food and drinks were good which is lovely to have on their terrace overlooking the beach. the stretch of beach near the hotel should be avoided and instead use the beach past the jetty outside the pimalai hotel. atm's are available and the drunken sailor is a good place for a bite to ear and read in their hammock. best place for drinks in the evening is the why not bar, our fav place.

Perfect for us, but maybe not for everyone. ”
Absolutely perfect for us... If you are are low-maintence/minimalistic and appreciate a remarkable ocean setting, and a Thai staff that is authentic and kind, this is for you. We stayed in one of the "sea view" bungalows where the sunrise over Kantiang bay greeted us every morning through the huge glass sliding door. The quiet restaurant deck over looks the bay and the food is delicious. The path to and from the beach is steep and maybe not for everyone. If you're the type to get annoyed easily, then the sound from a nearby beach bar might get to you, as well as some ants and bugs that find their way into the bungalow. Rose at the reception desk is quick to help with just about anything, from motorbike rental and transportation to tending to your room. If you will be scuba diving, then Scuba Fish is just a stone's throw down the driveway and they are a fantastic outfit. Kantiang beach is beautiful and not crowded, and offers other restaurants such as Same Same but Different where you can eat fresh fish with your toes in the sand while watching the sunset. For us, this was paradise.

Unbeatable views, mediocre service and facilities.”
i've stayed at lanta marine a couple times from jan 2009 and have always had an incredible time. they came into new ownership a while ago and quite a bit has changed. the setup is somewhat the same, the rooms have been updated a bit and are decent. the staff are okay - but definitely not as friendly and wonderful as their staff the last few times i've stayed. they need quite a bit of improvement on the management side. the staff are a bit lazy - for example, i asked for new towels and they said i had to bring my old ones to reception to exchange them for new ones. i'm not lazy but for a place you're paying over $60 for a night you would think they would make the extra effort. food is inconsistent - more options should be offered for breakfast for the price as well. had breakfast only 2x during our stay even though it was included in the price of the room. we ended up staying for 5 nights more than we booked and the staff were helpful about extending our stay but still not as pleasant as the staff of other hotels in the area/island. the upside is the views in the bay front rooms are unbeatable in the area.

Exceeds all expectation”
We arrived and were upgrade to what I think were the 2 best rooms in the resort. The views from our balcony are amazing and it’s off the road enough that it’s super quiet. Some noise from the beach and NYE was loud but I have great earplugs! All the staff were friendly and accommodating at all times. Walking distance to everything you need, massage onsite was great! We had laundry done and organized transport thru reception with no problems. I would come back in a heartbeat. Felt very welcome at all times and safe.

Nice location, low crowds even during high season”
The resort was nice, with a great view. The beach is beautiful, the water was great. The location is great, further south so it seems like there is less traffic during the high season. I did long runs down the main road towards the national park and saw only a few scooters and beautiful views. Comments from other reviewers are right, staff is cordial but not outgoing. The proximity to beach front restaurants/bars with live music and what seemed like bad karaoke late at night were surprisingly loud. Steep steps down to beach can be hard for kids and elders but we managed. The bed was more springs than pillow top comfort. For the price, it was a good deal and we are relaxed travelers. If any of the above criticisms bother you, try one of the other beach resorts.

we will be back ”
The staff were so friendly and helpful, helped us plan a few days trips, got us motorbikes and booked our bus to the next city. The view can't be beat and the atmosphere is so good. Nice quiet chill vibes. The restaurants around are all so good also. We stayed in the garden huts and was great for what we paid. The beds werent very comfortable but expected as much for such a good price. Everything else about this place is amazing. Nothing negative to stay. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Great location, great stuff”
The bungalows are basic, without fridge but with ac. The location is great and the view from therrace is breathtaking. Very nice stuff. We took from the reception a boat for a day trip to koh rock for a decent price. We also rented a scooter and on leaving we both the boat tikets with hotel transfer. The stuff is really nice and helpful
