A stay to remember...”
We have been living in this resort during the 2020 March - Mai lockdown. For a longer period, Koh Lanta was cut off from the mainland so we have been living in this resort for 2 months, a lot of the time as the only guests. The owners (Ae and his wife Nah) have helped us a lot in many ways to make our stay as comfortable as possible since a lot of business on the island were closed. In the beginning of our stay the restaurant, poolbar etc. were still open. The athmosphere was relaxed, staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is of good quality. I would like to say thank you again for all you have done for us.

Fantastic hotel centrally located on Long Beach, clean, friendly staff and great service!”
Right in the middle of long Beach, 2 mins away from the beach. The cute bungalows are clean, super comfortable (the bed was great!) and quiet ! The hotel give you beach towels and have a great restaurant on site! Also a swimming pool if you fancy a break from the beach. Close to great restaurants and bars too and the staff were super helpful - they helped us book a taxi back to Krabi airport for a great price and with great service! Highly recommend!!!

Excellent Resort. 5 Minute Walk to Beach!”
Super cute resort! The bungalows are situated in a great layout and the pool is a super addition to the resort amenities. There is also a massage place within 5 minutes walk of the resort. We enjoyed our meals at the resort (portion sizes are smaller than what we experienced at other resorts but still acceptable) and also ventured outside the resort to other restaurants. Long Beach is within 5 minutes walk of the resort. Be careful on the beach, many rocks and accidentally split my toe open on a rock, did my own first aid. The bathroom in our room was dark as the tiling is black, therefore any light is not reflecting well. Loved the foot wash station outside the bungalow doorstep and loved the hammock and sitting on the covered balcony. Would gladly stay again!

Lovely relaxed stay!”
We had a lovely relaxed time at this resort the rooms were clean and the pool area was lovely. The staff were great letting us check out late and we also booked a snorkelling tour which was excellent value, we also hired mopeds from the resort. I highly recommend this resort!

Pleasant stay near beach”
We stayed in a family bungalow with two spacious beds in march/april. Hotel was great, nice pool area (too much chlorine in water!), good food in restaurant, very clean room. Close to the beach.

So lovely!”
This hotel is beautiful with everything you need on your doorstep. A lovely pool, a beautiful stretch of beach and 2 minutes to the main road with a minimart and some restaurants. It’s so clean and there is a kitchen to cook in if you need to, plus refillable water. It’s low season at the moment so no restaurant or bar on site plus no sunbeds around the pool but as mentioned you can eat along the main road and there are some chairs around the pool also. The rooms have Netflix which is a great addition if you want to stay in and relax and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Exceptional”
Lovely resort, very decently priced. I was lucky to travel with 2 friends during off season, so we got the resort almost all to ourselves. The pool was beautiful and the owner went out of her way to make us comfortable even though there was no food service at the hotel due to staff going home during the off season. We were at one end of Long beach, with access to the beach about 5 mins away. This was wonderful for our peaceful holiday but can be quite isolating for some. Rooms were cleaned everyday with cresh towels and bottled water provided. Would 100% go back again.

Great value ”
Tough times for Koh Lanta right now but great to see resorts like the Lanta Pearl remaining open and trying too eek an existence. The owner and staff were super friendly and the resort was extremely well maintained. A shame facilities such as the restaurant and bar were closed but completely understandable. I would certainly recommend and stay at the Lanta Pearl again.

Nice stay”
This is a good resort to stay at Long beach. The staff are all lovely. You are close to the beach and a minimart and ATM. There is some good restaurants around the area and some great beach bars and restaurants to watch the sunset. I reccomend Jam Bar. The resort does have nice food I've seen but I only had the breakfast(eggs Benedict) which was lovely. Just make sure to double confirm your bus ticket has been booked if you book onward travel with them. I'd stay again when back for sure! It was very hard to get a run at the pool when I was there as always families had taken over.

Very nice property for families or couples”
The property features very nice bungalows right next to a pristine beach. However i wouldnt recommend the location for solo travelers. Restaurant mediocre. Handful of choices around to eat at.

Good option for families, especially during low season”
Stayed here in the low season, late September. Lots of other places were closed and this place was only lightly booked. The pool was great. The restaurant was closed during the low season. The bungalows vary somewhat, and some are nicer than others, so ask to inspect a few if you can.

Broken a/c”
Our bungalow was a little noisy being right next to the pool. The restaurant is good, even though they missed bringing us some things we ordered and paid for. The staff in the restaurant and bar are very nice, as are the housekeeping and maintenance staff. The biggest draw back for us was the front desk staff and broken A/C in our room. It was so hot and made it quite unbearable for our baby. The pool is nice, and lots in the area you could walk to. I wouldn’t stay again though, there’s other spots with better hospitality.

Very friendly service and close to the beach”
First, book your own transfers to the resort beforehand. I emailed Pearl Lanta to arrange our transfer and they charged 2,500 Baht. I said I thought this was expensive and the response was that it was the standard rate. However, upon arrival we found that you can book an air-conditioned van for 300 Baht/person or take a ferry for about the same to Krabi airport. Pearl Lanta even booked the van for us on the way back. I would have appreciated being informed of this service when I initially inquired. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at Lanta Pearl. The family that runs this place is so nice! The room itself is very basic and small. We didn't have any room to unpack our things but it was okay. The fan rooms are hot at night so if your budget affords it, get the air conditioned rooms. This place is for budget travellers. If you are picky then maybe it's not for you. Bring lots of bug spray. Wifi in the lobby not the rooms, which was fine. The resort books excursions for you; stay away from Garden Hill! You spend most of your time on the speed boat and don't see much. They drop you off to snorkel for a half hour at a couple different sites and there is nothing to see. The coral is all dead and there are not many fish. We found one of the crews to be very unprofessional (waited in the boat for almost an hour waiting for one of the tour guides). I recommend booking a ferry to where you want to go. Koh Phi Phi was a disaster. The entire place reeks like garbage (which is everywhere and pollution from dozens of boats parked in the water - no beach and you can't swim because of the pollution) and they rebuilt it after the tsunami with left-over building materials so it looks old and decrepit. Koh Lanta is much better, although still very poor. The beach by Pearl Lanta is nice and long, but don't expect fine sand. The best food we've had was right on the beach at the Palm Beach Resort. From Pearl Lanta, head to the beach and it is the first restaurant on the righ

Exactly What We Needed: Quiet/Laidback/Efficient”
in many ways, lanta pearl beach resort is like the island of koh lanta itself - unpretentious, charming, laidback, with residents that are imbued with an innate friendliness that is gentle and never overbearing. we stayed in the fan bungalow and while it was exactly what we expected, i would probably opt for an air-conditioned unit next time, and the heat could get a little much in the day (though you prob wouldn't spend much time in it during the day!). we got mozzie coils and they did the job as some of the mosquitoe netting had holes in them. but the bathroom was such a nice surprise, basic, yes, but clean and well maintained. the water pressure from the shower was a tad low, but asking for a bucket and pail from the resort sorted us out easily. loved the wooden shacks in the hotel and anything you needed: tours to the other islands, transport arrangements were taken care of by the resort. with a predominantly muslim population, my only gripe about the resort restaurant would be the lack of pork, or more specifically, bacon! but other eateries a short walk away takes care of that too. must have at lanta pearl: mieng kam. a thai staple appetizer that involves putting bits of dried shrimp, ginger, toasted coconut, bird's eye chillis, onions on a leaf and smothering it with plum sauce. thai-cat down the beach had the pre-requisite coconut and good food, but it was a bit overpriced, although the sea view and romantic ambience were the perks. we loved mr. green down the main road. also the small roadside stalls had a limited menu but awesome food! i'd come back in a heartbeat! :)
