Rent a bike for a better stay”
On my arrival i am the only guest there so got a free upgrade and there after few guest came in after the next day. Located at Klong Dao Beach, Lanta Summer house offers a homely accommodation with private terraces and cable TV, Fridge and simple decorated room. Lanta House is approximately a 10-minute drive from Saladan Pier and few mins with bike to get out there for food, shopping, local eatery and restaurants(Hotel restaurant closed due till low season. Beach front just 35 meters from my room and can simply dip in the water but not good to swim now as THE WAVE IS A LITTLE ROUGH(Don't get to far out the sea beware of jelly fish). Bungalows offer both air conditioning n fan with private bathrooms come with hot shower facilities(but water is so low pressure and heater not working so well) and toiletries. Guests can sun bathe on the hotel’s terrace or relax by the small pool(but i didn't manage to use it as they are changing water for the coming high season.) Acceptable, except i think is time for them to upgrade the room and specially the toilet is too old. other wise this place is good, cos the surrounding is quiet and nice helper owner and staff. (My bike was ready to ride just infront of my room) Nice service! BTW WIFI is off and on at times but no a big deal to me!

Great beach hotel”
We went to celebrate a friends' wedding actually taking place in a luxury hotel next door. We found this hotel was great, affordable, clean, quiet and accomodating to all of our needs. I was there with my daughter and son-in-law and my sister and brother-in-law and we asked to have rooms close to each other. The hotel was happy to accomodate our requests. I would recommend to friends and family to stay here before I would recommend paying the very high price for the hotel next door. We had access to a very good beach, great for swimming, snorkeling and games on the sand. You will not regret your stay in Koh Lanta if you stay at this hotel.

Location, Location, Location”
Lanta Summer House is a fine place to stay. It is popular, and has many repeat visitors. It is on the beach. It has a clean, useable pool. A/C Bungalows are comfortable. The fridge is large enough to stow snacks and drinks for a number of people. Great week long stay.

Good beach front location, and good friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. The only thing who was negative it´s the hard beds. We stayed for 21 day´s before we traveled by boat to Ao-Nang. We can recommend Koh Lanta and Lanta Summerhouse if you wan´t a holiday in peace and quiet in Thailand

Nice bungalows”
It was very good, had friends that stayed in different hotells near Lanta summer house and they payed more for the same standard. I recomend lanta summer house. The only negative i have to say is that they had a monkey in a leach at the beachrestaurant that I didnt like

The guest house is close to beach. We enjoyed our stay at Lanta Summerhouse although the rooms are very simple. The position is great near the beach but it's 30 minutes walk into the centre of the town.

Mosquito Hell”
Lanta Summer House is nice enough but the mosquitoes in this place are unreal. I ve lived in Thailand and traveled quite a bit but have never experienced anything like this place. Burned a mosquito coil throughout the night and still woke up swollen with hundreds of bites.

ok hotel, not so ok staff”
ok hotel, location right on beach, beds hard with towels for covers, wifi very bad. the woman manning the front desk is seriously lacking in the hospitality department. talked to a couple who has been back there the last seven years & she´s always moody according to them. i will not be staying at lanta summer house again.

All was fine until our last day.”
Several days after checking out I contacted the hotel about a headlamp that was not in our pack. We contacted the resort via email & Facebook & have yet to receive a response. The $100 lamp was used nightly by my gf as a reading lamp. The fact that they have not responded to my email/messages is very frustrating. We have friends in Lanta at the moment & they are able to drop to pick it up, still no respince from the resort, so no, we do not recommend this resort. Not honest!

We stayed 3 nights, and don’t have bad things to say! The hotel is right on the beach, extremely clean, and next to some restaurants and minimart. The best part was the staff - the owner was extremely helpful in booking trips, activities, and bike rental. Would recommend to anyone!

Nice and clean hotel”
We extended our stay with three nights, as we found the hotel very nice. The swimmingpool was clean with child area. Good location on the beach with plenty of restaurants nearby (no dinner at the hotel, but that was hardly a problem). Decent breakfast (menu choices equivalent to the value of the included american breakfast) and helpful staff.

Fantastic hotel ”
This hotel is awesome. It is right on the beach and easy access to Ban Saladan. The manager is extremely helpful and gas a good level of English. Rooms are spacious and cone with 3 beds in each. The food is good although not always swiftly delivered.

Beautiful hotel near the beach”
Low season was starting so there was no possibility to have dinner or breakfast at the hotel. Luckily there were some nice restaurants close to the hotel on the beach side. Without a taxi the hotel is a little hard to find but our stay was really worth it. The hotel is spacious with a nice garden, a clean swimming pool and a beautiful quiet beach.

An attempt of cheating ”
Why I gave only 1*? Even it was a quite decent resort. Shorter version: lady on reception, which is a kinda manager, was trying cheat us and lies about rooms / houses avalibility. Longer version: I booked Bungalow Delux with garden view at agoda for quite good price, for about 4 nigths. On checkin first words of lady in reception was "I have a problem with yours booking", then she was trying to explain, in not a very kind words, that our bungalow is not available and we need to go to other room. Only thing for her was given an another room, which wasn't a Bungalow, but room in bigger flat-house. She even tried to convience me that new room is better standard (which was a horrible lie). Anyway, I've stopped an argue with her and I went to check "a better room". My head almost explode when I saw "a better standard". First of all a flat-house was in the end of resort, without garden, but with mess and with road and motorbike parking. Then I entered to room. A small, stinky room (musty smell) with tiny walls. My reaction was clear - she must to give us what I've booked. I returned to "grumpy lady" on reception and I demanded a bungalow. After some childish arguing, sudenly she found our bungalow! Room was available from the begining, but she was trying to give a room with much worse standard for price of "deluxe version". After all we spend few nights on our booked room, but kind of disgust remains to the rest of our stay. Grumpy Lady never apologized, she was so angry that she never say "hello" in later days. Some prons / cons: + bungalow was cleaned every day + bungalows are close to beach + beatiful beach - bungalows are twins with very tiny wall between them, it wasn't a big problem, but still it wasn't described in room description - breakfast is boring and bad tasting - lady on reception is grumpy :(

we had a beautifull time there”
this place is nice, rooms are big staff are smiling ! we stayed on the resort as there is planty on restaurants and a nice bar just beside rigth on the beach. so for the rest i dont know. awesome place for the sunset. the way to the sea with the flower and palm tree is beautifull. we had beakfest include and was ok. overall we had a nice 3 nigth stay i would go back !

Good and clean rooms close to the beach. No luxary but ok simple standard with functional AC. If you want an all inclusive hotel with a good restaurant this will not be a good stay. If you want a simple hotel with ok standard and you are open to eat in other places, this will be a good stay.
