Very rude staff”
Arrived around lunchtime (way before check in time so fair enough), apparently no available rooms despite it being a very quiet period due to covid. Told to come back after 2 which is fair enough. When we came off the beach after 6pm check in desk empty, lights out and nobody there. Had to call the number and 15 mins later some boy on a bike came and gave us keys. Had paid extra for breakfast, it wasn’t even mentioned, basically just gave the key without checking anything and drove off. My friend had checked in slightly earlier and paid for breakfast and lady was very extremely rude and no instructions for breakfast at all. Room was really decent for price though so it’s a real shame, won’t be staying here again just because of the terrible customer service!

Clean, simple and great location”
Samed Green Inn is good value for money. The staff were friendly. The room has basic facilities. It was very clean. It's a great location, just a 1 minute walk from the beach. I would stay there again if I go back to Koh Samet.

So Good and It isn't expensive.”
I really recommend this place to stay in. It's very close to - Samed Pier, about 2~3km - Shopping (7-11 Store) 7m - Night Bar & Restuarant 7m ~ 100m - Sai-Kaew Beach (หาดทรายแก้ว) 50m. - Vongdeuan Beach, 3km

Perfect little place, close to the beach”
This place has had mixed reviews but I am giving it a good wrap, Most other places on Samet are over rated and priced. This is a simple clean comfortable nothing too fancy conveniently located Hotel, that in the middle of everything but still quiet. A very short walk to the beach and everything really. The map locations are wrong and no one seems to know the name, so I will tell you thats its 20 meters directly to the right as you enter the national park (from the ferry direction). There are many great bars etc on the island but if you are looking for possibly the best and cheapest cocktails in Thailand head to the sunrise bar which is at the southern end of the main beach, great location. I think this Hotel for its price and what it is can't be beaten if your sticking to a budget, give it a try.

Great Location”
Our stay at Samed Green Inn was great! The hotel is nice and close to the beach as well as 7-11 and many restaurants. The hotel was what I had expected for the cost, with moderate cleanliness and amenities. The only thing I would caution people about is that the hotel is close to the road so if traffic wakes you up then it would not be the best place to stay. Reception is also only open from 8am-8pm which it did not say when we booked it. When we showed up at 10pm there was no one there, luckily other guests allowed us to use their phone to call the owners who came down to let us in so if you are arriving late be aware of this. Overall however it was a positive experience, and we would stay again!

Cheap and cheerful”
Handy location close to beach, pier and shops. Has free wi-fi which I don't think was on their list (bonus) although it was off one night and they couldn't be bothered rebooting it when we informed them. Comfortable bed although the vinyl (piddle-proof) mattress cover makes for a sweaty sleep! All in all, perfectly adequate - You get what you pay for, and this was well worth 1000 baht - as cheap as you'll get on Koh Samet.

We always come back”
We stay here every time we come to koh samet. it is one of the few places that combines all of the things we need: good price, clean rooms, close to the beach as well as 7-11, quiet at night. This time we were put in a smaller room than most of the other times we've stayed here, but that's just the luck of the draw, I guess. My one complaint this time was that our hot water heater was broken, but thankfully it was a hot weekend. Like I say every time I write a review for this hotel, it's nothing fancy, but it has the essentials and the staff cleans our room every day while we're out at the beach, which is especially important with all the sand we drag in and out.

Nice place to stay”
Easy 15 minute walk from pier and very close to the beach and stores. The rooms are nice. Samet island is a great place to visit and relax

great location but small room”
The hotel is quite close to the beach and easy to look for it. This is the second time i went to koh samet, but the first time stayed in this hotel, the hotel is quite small and a little bit shabby, that is a bit different with the photo posts on the website. and the room is not that reasonable for this price i stayed inside! anyway, good location to the beach, but normal room!

We always come back”
We always stay at Samed Green every time we go to the island, which is a few times a year. It has the best location, as it is 1-5 minutes from 7-11, restaurants, beach, and bars. The hotel is very simple and basic, but it is always clean and they make sure to sweep the floors and make the beds and give fresh towels every day while you're out at the beach. The water in the shower is hot. The toilets work properly. This last time our only issue was that the thermostat for the air-conditioning in the room seemed to be broken. It was VERY cold and turning the dial did not seem to make any difference. But it was better than no air-con :) Koh Samed hotels tend to overcharge for the actual quality of the rooms and service. At Samed Green we get a good price (around 1000baht a night) and we know exactly what we're getting. That's why we always go back.

decent value overall, close to beach”
This hotel is fair enough considering the prices for other hotels on the island with a/c, fridge, t.v., etc. It's not great and not terrible: it's an in between of the cheap but primitive guesthouses and the pricier, but much nicer, resorts. For a hotel it's pretty bare bones, but I'd take that over paying 2-3 times more for the other hotels I saw. The first room I was assigned was the corner room on the 2nd floor. It had a mildewy smell and tons of mosquitos and I saw that a problem, so I switched to room 11. This room was very small, but clean and up to par and without the mosquitos. The locale is a mixed blessing: it's right inside the gates and about 1000 feet from Saikew beach, but it's also right next to a smelly dump and at the beginning of the main road where all the walkers, trucks and scooters pass by endlessly. There are few amenities (a fridge locked with some sodas is all I saw) and there is no decent hangout area- hell there is not even a lobby: the check- in/out is a table outside, and the person leaves pretty early. This concerned me as I wondered what I would do if I needed something or had a problem in the evening. The girl at the front is friendly though, and the cleaning staff does a great job- they came in every day and cleaned up all th mess from the beach and brought fresh towels every time. This is even more appreciated in a place where you are always tracking in sand. The water pressure and room lighting are kind of lousy, but the bed was comfortable, the AC worked awesome and also drowned out the sounds from the street. I was there 4 nites and slept well all of them. If I returned to Ko Samet, I would stay there again if I could not find anything else- but I would seek better in the price range. Not likely though. All things considered, it's fair for the price. If all you need is AC, a nice bed, a shower and a cable station or 2, and want to be close to the beach then this is a good spot.

Basics are there but good enough.”
It is about a 10-15 min walk from the ferry to the hotel. Walk out the pier and just head left. I did it with a wheeled suitcase no dramas. To access the hotel (or beaches) you must pay 200thb each (non-Thai national). Once you pay that you turn right and it is about a 1 minute walk. Checkin was quick from a table out the front of the hotel. Inside the room the aircon was good. Bed was on the firm but not rock solid side. Bedding was used but not too bad. Room was clean. No safety box. TV channels were basic but there are English movie channels. Shower needed repair but we managed. Just think a 1 Star hotel and you'll be fine. Nothing fancy, but you know - you're not paying fancy prices ( I paid about AUD$30 a night). The road outside the hotel is used by a lot of motorbikes so if you are a light sleeper (or a fussy sleeper) move on to another listing. 7-11 is about 2-3 minute walk. Plenty of food options along the way. 50thb for noodles. We ate there every day. Walk to the beach is about 2-3 minutes. Beach is very nice to look at, although a little bit on the nose. Jet ski, parasailing, hawkers etc. 50 thb to hire a sun bed. Plenty of places on the beach to eat and drink. Hawkers are pretty relaxed. Helps to learn to say 'No thanks' in Thai - delivered with a smile and they leave you alone. My final impressions are that I was glad I saved money by staying there, but next time I will consider somewhere a little better and just accept I will need to pay.

just what we asked for”
We have stayed here before and chose to come back because for the price you pay, it's a solid budget hotel room. It's in a quieter area so when all the bars down the beach are pumping their music, you can retreat to Green Inn for some peace and quiet, but it's still within 3 minutes of the beach. It's also close to great restaurants (Funky Monkey, Chilli's, Red Ginger). The rooms are clean and freshly painted with air-con. There is a small TV with 2-3 English movie channels. The bathroom gets lots of light from outside and is also clean. They fixed up our room every day while we were out, gave fresh towels, swept floors, and such. We really enjoy staying here because for 900 baht a night, it's really quite decent. The only thing we don't love about this place is the mattresses. They're pretty firm, as are the pillows. Other than that, we really like it here.

Fine hotel”
the hotel is close to where the car stop, and with a big sigh that make it easy to spot. the room is clean, but the hotel is little far from the beach. clean room with air condition, and nice bathroom. it's also possible to wash clothes at the hotel.

Good for back packers ”
If you book early, you can be lucky to get a room at lower price. very close to taxi stand and to sai kaew beach within walking distance. Makes it ideal for those who are ok to stay in a normal home guest house place instead of spending a lot of money on beach facing resorts. Everything is basic which is not bad but I wish owner do some house cleaning and make this place shine like a diamond. On downside I wished they paid more attention to bed spreads, towels etc. Samed is small island and you can go to any exotic beach easily by walk or taxi or rented bikes. There are too many unadvertised guest houses in samed that you cant find online for booking but offer similar places at similar prices.
