Convenient functional accommodatrion”
This hotel offers free parking which is not always easy to find convenient to the centre of a large city and one of the main reasons for me choosing it. It is located at least a couple of miles from the city centre so it is ideal for anyone with a car unless you want to rely on public transport but as the hotel is located beside a main road there would be a regular bus service to and from the city centre. The area around the hotel is fairly quiet with the exception of one or two ambulances from the nearby hospital but that is all I heard during my stay. The buffet breakfast (a very reasonable £7.50 if it isn't included in your room price) is pretty good and you certainly won't go away hungry. Overall I found this hotel to be good value for money for anyone seeking affordable accommodation convenient to Glasgow City centre.

Especially good if you have a car”
We stayed here for 2 nights from 21 September. it is not in the heart of Glasgow, but as we had a hire car it suited us fine. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, the buffet breakfast had a good variety of both hot and cold foods, and our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The Hotel is three train stops from Glasgow Central and the train station is about a 10 minute walk from the Hotel.

Great hotel with a reasonable price”
This hotel made my first time travel in Scotland(Glasgow) become so memorable. At first, I was afraid because I traveled with my father and desperately tried not to mess up his mood. As usual, I decided to seek any good hotel in agoda and came up the Glasgow Pond Hotel. Though the price was reasonable (and also it was quite near the Glasgow University), its services were very satisfying. The room heater was working perfectly so we did not feel as cold as in the outside. Also, in front of the hotel there was a 24 hr mini market which might helped you if you suddenly starving in the midnight. You also have some choices to travel from the hotel, either using taxi or bus. The nearest bus station is just 1 minute walk and the taxi waiting point is located at the back of the hotel.

My Husband and I stayed at the Glasgow Pond Hotel while visiting our Son and Daughter-in-Law. The hotel is near where they live. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and recommended it when our Family was over to attend our Son's wedding earlier this year. We have no hesitation in recommending the Glasgow Pond Hotel.

One night stay at the Pond”
I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions. I have always been very happy with this hotel. The location is ideal for Glasgow with free parking. The rooms are clean and to a high standard. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the cooked breakfast. Our most recent stay was slightly spoiled due to the noise ffrom a wedding dance. The staff did warn us about this on arrival.

Exceptional”
We were travelling to Glasgow to see the Pink concert and decided to stay a few days before and have a look round the town and sites. everything was good with the Hotel we met some really friendly people the only thing we found was the breakfast was very expensive £12:00 each so for 6 mornings that puts a lot on your bill and if we had our car that would of been a further £5:00 a day.

Quiet location, good facilities”
We only stayed in the Pond one night as we were just in Glasgow for a wedding in Oran Mor. The building of the hotel itself is very decieving. Fairly shabby and looking out of place on the outside, but very nice and tastefully decorated and renovated inside. The distance from Oran Mor was suitable for our needs as was the distance from the airport (about 30min and £19 fixed rate), however it would not be my choice if I wanted to go shopping or spend any amount of time in and around downtown.

Pond Hotel Glasgow - April 2010”
We were very comfortable in this hotel. Plenty of parking and easy access to the areas of Glasgow that we wanted to visit - ie. shopping and museums. If you stay here room only DONT be tempted to just have breakfast and sign it on to your bill - at £11.50 a head you would have to eat a lot of food!! We went to Byres Road and ate at a wonderful cafe Kember and Jones - couldn't fault it - but if you are not early enough you might have to queue. The hotel staff were very friendly and informative. We will definitely use this hotel again

Comfortable and clean room, lucky to get a room probably during a busy period in Glasgow. Celtic connections festival was brilliant too. Will be back next year. Room price was very reasonable and the staff very attentive.

Exceptional”
I had managed to have a vrey good price via online booking. I was very happy with the staff, room have all the useful facilities including hair dryer and iron which become rare in many hotels. Just know that the parking is £5. Will defenitely come back if needed.

Glasgow Pond Hotel”
This is a very modern, clean hotel with excellent spacious, well equipped rooms. The staff were very courtious and helpful with easy check-in/out facility. Breakfast was varied and well prepared. The only drawback for us was the noise from the function room on both of our two nights stay which went on until after midnight. The music could still be heard on the third floor.

Good choice”
The hotel is in a good place to arrive from the north, easy to find in the main road. Reception and breakfast staff were very good/helpful. Easy access by bus outside hotel directly to town centre. Free parking. Room was nice. The bathroom was ever so slightly "worn" but there were signs in the lift to say that the hotel was updating rooms. Bed was very comfortable and no noise from outside or inside the hotel.

Just what we were looking for”
We wanted a value-for money hotel convenient for the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, which was a 10-minute walk plus a 5-minute train ride away, so that ticked both those boxes. It was also an easy 15-minute bus ride into Glasgow city centre. It has plenty onsite car parking. Breakfasts were good, as was dinner on the one night we dined in. Downsides: the immediate surroundings are unattractive - a petrol filling station in front and a large hospital complex behind - and the mattresses rated 2 out of 5.

Noisy”
i have stayed at the pond, 4 or 5 times now and has always been a good place to stay. however other reviews note how noisy it is. if you stay on the 4th floor there is a generator that kicks in at 07:00 and wakes you up pretty sharp. otherwise a great hotel, food is excellent. just don't stay on tje 4th floor.
