Very good”
If you want to relax at a beautiful spot in beautifully designed facilities, this is your place. It’s calm and peaceful, and you won’t be bothered by any noise because it’s far from the “main road” and houses/civilization. The downside is that the northern part of the island seems to have different type of beach, it’s sandy and a bit rocky once you get into the water. Beautiful for kayaking and SUP though (which they provide at the resort). Super shallow water. Though because of the pebbles not ideal for kids to play in and there’s no pool. Breakfast and dinner are good and beautifully presented, though obviously more pricey than in a standard restaurant elsewhere. The villas are brand new with a nice view. Good water pressure and hot water! Nice balcony to relax. We missed the finishing touch: some hooks to hang up your bath towels next to the shower, some cloth hangers for dresses, a rack outside to hang up wet clothes, curtains that block a bit more light since there’s also daylight coming from the top window - that would be the complete luxury experience. The resort is “far” (10-15 min) from the strip with the restaurants, but you can rent a scooter (300 B) or order a taxi (50 B). Although we stayed here with our 1 y/o baby and they were so kind and provided us even with beach toys, this resort is more suitable for solo travelers/couples without kids.

Quiet, Secluded and Cozy.”
The Little Moon Villa is away from all the other resorts, located on their own private beach. It's not a white sandy beach, but it's long and perfect for relaxing and swimming. You only have to share it with other guests, but since there are not many bungalows it will never get crowded. There are many hammocks, swings and beach benches freely to use. All of them placed on good spots (perfect place for a massage). Kayaks are also available and free to use. The garden is well maintained and gives a pleasant atmosphere. The half moon villa is simple but very cozy. The bed is comfortable and the shower has hot water. Everything is very clean. The bed/bench on the patio is big and perfect for laying around for 2. When opening the doors in the morning you are welcomed with amazing ocean views and a nice breeze. Couldn't have been much better. The food is excellent, with fresh seafood offered daily. The breakfast selection is extensive and good. Since our first step into the resort, the staff made us feel at home. Especially Kong was extremely helpful, with always the right information, tips and ideas. Staff was always friendly, and ready to help. Smiles everywhere. The little charming place was completed by two the two well mannered resident dogs Soda and Tofu. We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our vacation on Koh Mak. P + J :)

Charming resort, great food and friendly staff ”
My girlfriend and I stayed at Little moon for 2 nights. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We found the resort well decorated and tastefully done with a good attention to details (e.g the smell of lemongrass in the rooms when you arrive). Our favourite part of the hotel though was the kitchen! We are both picky when it comes to eating out, rarely eating at hotels and often scouting for the best restaurants around. It was therefore very pleasant for once to have a hotel with an outstanding restaurant. We ate there 3 or 4 for times during our stay, and I must it was some of best food we have had in Thailand. On the downside, the hotel is bit isolated and doesn’t necessarily have the best beach. But again, for the friendliness of the staff, the great restaurant and the quite surroundings, we would recommend little moon to anyone coming to Koh Mak

Fantastic little place”
Little Moon is awesome! The villas are new, greatly designed and very enjoyable. They have both aircondition AND ceiling fans. Just outside your door, you have a very big sunbed you can relax or grab a nap on. The whole hotel complex was actually just one building, with the reception lying just next to the bar/restaurant. The seating in the bar/restaurant is very modern and perfect style for the hotel. Nothing like you see at other and bigger resort. Here they seem to have thought about the looks of a lot of this. Which really tops the whole place perfectly off. The food on Little Moon is refreshingly different than other places in Thailand. It's great, fast and cheap. The restaurant is also the bar and here they have most of the things you need, and at good prices, especially when you keep in mind that the nearest shop is very far away. The beach is red sand, which isn't as pretty as the white, but rumour has that it keep a special kind of aggresive fly away from there, we met other people that had bitemarks all over their legs from those on the other beaches on the island. But only the beach and 5-10 meters into the ocean is red sand, from there and out, the bottom of the ocean is white sand and you can easy walk 100 meters out in the ocean with the water getting more than 1 meter high. Great place for kids as well. But being on the "wrong" side of the island, the sun goes away quite early so you don't have direct sunlight from early afternoon, 4-4.30 pm-ish. That's a shame but nothing important. You can also rent bikes and motorbikes at Little Moon, and you should really do so, it's a very small island and there is almost no traffic at all, so even if you're not that comfortable riding a motorbike, this is where you should do it, no insane traffic like the rest of Thailand.

Incredible romantic getaway”
if you're looking for a romantic beach getaway, stop looking; you want to go here. koh mak is the perfect place to unwind on pristine thai beaches. away from the sleaze of phuket, the wild parties of koh samui and the soulless resorts of koh chang, you get the amazing beach without the guilty feeling that you're trashing something beautiful. the staff here were brilliant, some of the beast english speakers we came across in thailand. the food was excellent as well. can certainly recommend this place; stay in one of the quaint beach-front huts, you won't regret it, and neither will she. no nightlife at little moon, very little anywhere on the island to be honest, but we did have a good night out at "monkey bar" after eating the best bbq'd barracuda in the world.

Peaceful & super homey”
We stayed at Little Moon for 4 nights in Half Moon Villa for our anniversary. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The housekeeper cleaned our room every 2 days but we could always asked to exchange our towels for new ones at the front desk. The food at the resort was pretty good. They would asked you to choose your preferred breakfast daily after dinner time or if you didn’t you could still order in the morning. I liked how they prepare the french toasts with bits of coconut in our breakfast. We tried the seafood bbq dinner one night and it was awesome. (You needed to pre-order few hours before dinner time for the seafood bbq, the staff would inform you) The service was great. All the staffs were super friendly & helpful. They tried their best to provide us whenever we asked for something. The owner even gave me the cream for bug bites one day when he noticed I had some bites on my leg. Really felt at home here! And the 2 labs, Soda & Tofu were so nice. Always came to say hi whenever they were around. The beach here was not a sandy white beach. It was red brown. There was a bit of rocks but if you went further in the sand became nicer and clear. And since the resort located in a private little bay, there’s not many people using the beach except the resort guests. Very peaceful stay.

A calm place with excelent rooms and great staff!”
this place is located on the eastern side of the island. in order to get to other places you have to use a bike/moterbike or taxi. but since this island is very calm there are no traffic and renting and driving a moterbike is no problem. the rooms are really great, spacious and clean! we had a half moon villa for 4 days and really enjoyed our stay. you have a little terrace where you can sit and enjoy a good book our just sit and sip on a beer enjoying the great seaview. the restaurant is really great. you get large meals and the food is really top class! there are a barbecue every night but it must be ordered 5 hours in advance. the hotell beach is a red sand beach so you should not have a "thailand white sand beach" in you mind. but they clean the beach so it is always clean and you can enjoy a nice bath. you can rent a kayak for free and paddle to a nearby beach or th koh kradan which has ordinary sand beaches. we did rent motorbikes and tried different beaches around the iland. i would really recommend this place to my friends, one of our best stays in thailand during our 4 week trip!

Already Missing Little Moon”
This was my son (9 years) and I's favourite accomodation in Thailand. The bungalow was lovely and spotless, the staff were super friendly, and the grounds so beautiful (and not a sand fly in sight). We stayed in the Black Moon Villa, so a bit further back from the beach than the rest, but that didn't detract from our stay one bit. Because we were only there for 3 nights, we didn't leave the hotel grounds, which was fine because the restaurant was great. Had we not been booked into another hotel following our stay at Little Moon, we definitely would have extended our trip.

Super clean Villas & great food”
We stayed for 4 nights at Little Moon Villa and had a great time. The Villa is very clean so we really enjoyed to stay there. Food at the restaurant is yummy and portions are fairly big. We had dinner here twice. Try the fried minced chilli pork balls! Breakfast was great too, the self made jam is very tasty! The location is a little bit away from other dinner spots (15min to Walking Street) what makes it quiet and not crowded but to go anywhere you have to rent a motorbike. If you are fine with that this is the right spot for you. We would come back!

Relaxing escape”
Our Stay at Little Moon Villa was the perfect escape -- relaxing, quiet and well-cared for by the Little Moon staff. Great care and attention has gone into the resort's design, the daily breakfast goes far beyond the standard free breakfast served at most hotels, and the location is amazingly quiet and removed from any distractions. Close enough for a quick taxi or bike ride into "town" or to some of the larger white sand beaches. Can't recommend enough!

An outstanding service - huge compliment to all members of the staff, and a warm thank you for their smiles and their really caring for us!! A wonderfully quiet, secluded location, a lush garden, a very beautifully designed complex and pretty accomodations. We stayed at the little moon villa for 3 nights and it‘s really a small hidden paradise if you want to relax and enjoy the silence!Red sand and the bungalows in the jungle-different-and that‘s the especially flair about that place! The whole staff is very friendly,helpful and always had a smile on their faces! Every day we’ve enjoyed the delicious thai food at the beaufiful restaurant! They also organize relaxing massages at the beach! We surely come back next time!

Hotel on a beautiful location wtih great service”
we really loved our stay at little moon villa. the welcome was friendly, the service superb. great english (compared to other locations). the food was splendid and my girlfriend found the massage one of the best she had in thailand (and we have been here already 3times and 5months in total. so that gives an idea ;) ) the big thing missing at the hotel is a swimming pool, otherwise we would have stayed here much longer. and the beach wasn't as beautiful as the one on the other side of the island. but, contrary to the other side: the food was much much better and you're alone on your beach, as the hotel is very remote. the price is also very good in comparison for the same at other hotels the rooms are not too big but very comfortable. ours was smelling a bit humid, but i'm not so sure if that is always the case or rather because it wasn't used for a while. (ours was the last one in the back, and the hotel was totally sold out due to bad weather in the south of thailand) don't come here when you want a lot of activities. (no waterski, wake boarding, etc) but, unlike the other hotels in the neighborhood, all activities are for free: free kayak, free biking, and a lot of relaxing.

This hidden little gem on Koh Mak island is truly beautiful, no mass tourism, very cosy resort. We travelled the island by motorbike and this resort we liked the most of them all. The food is also great, as is the breakfast, not buffet style with flies everywhere, but served at your table, after you picked your choice a night in advance.

Best hotel on the island”
We went during monsoon / off-peak season so the hotel lacked a bit of the quality in finer details than it did my two previous visits, but was still a great stay. I would in future only visit Koh Mak in peak season as then it is still quiet enough to have a restful holiday, but there is enough activity around to add to the ambiance.

Great private resort with very friendly staffs”
We stayed at Little Moon in end of August when there was no guests. The resort is located by a little private beach and you won't see any house or other resorts. We didn't feel lonely at all thanks to the very friendly staffs. The food was great, room was very clean and nicely decorated, and adventures to other island and other beach by kayaking was a great fun. A perfect private resort for couples.

Perfect for a relaxing time”
We had a very great and relaxing time in Little Moon. We were upgraded to a bungalow with sea-view because of construction work which was nice. The staff is very nice and the two dogs Tofu and Soda are adorable. We liked the food and there are a variety of western and thai choices. The ice-cream and the shakes are very good. You can rent a motor bike and explore the island or just relax on the beach. If you can manage to get up early you can see a stunning sunrise.

A true paradise off the tourist crowds”
Our stay was very pleasant, the bungalows are extremely well built and face the sea. The sand at the beach is red which might not correspond to your expectations but on the upside there are no sand bugs. The food at the restaurant is very tasty and breakfasts are a great start into a lazy day on Koh Mak.
