Find hotels near Long Hai Beach in Vung Tau, Vietnam

Very friendly staff,good location and nice beach in summer but need a bigger menu or supply more transportation to restaurants in Long Hai or Phuoc Hai,specially in week day or Sunday night

The Alma Oasis is a nice hotel with direct access to the beach. The rooms are well maintained with a large bathroom (lacks a separate aircon). The breakfast buffet is reasonable, but I haven't tried any other food there. I liked that they have a small, but good selection of TV programs (BBC, Fox Sports, HBO, NatGeo). And although the staff speaks limited English, they fixed a reception problem within half an hour so I could watch my F1 race on Fox Sport (yeah). The included Spa is ok, but nothing outstanding. The 90 min package includes a short 50min massage and access to the Sauna for the rest of the time. I also tried two body scrubs, which were nice but also well short of the promised 45 mins. The staff is clearly not very experienced and there is also no Spa menu. The pool is nice, though the chairs lack a bit of natural shadow (there are umbrellas). They have some golf buggies to drive guests around the resort, unfortunately those are not electrical ones, so the engine noise is quite a bit annoying. The resort is also on a hill, so expect some walking up and down. The location is nice directly at the beach, but a bit outside of Long Hai. Getting a taxi is a bit of a challenge, so expect to be confined to the resort unless you are adventurous or patient. I had local food outside, which was good and cheap. Long Hai is also a rather small town with little attraction. The hotel Wifi is ok, though not very fast. I relied more on my portable Wifi router instead.

Long Hai really isn't a tourist-y beach, therefore it isn't kept well at all. There's trash on the beach and probably in the water, and no one (including the staff) has bothered to try to clean any of it up. I thought about doing it myself because it was so bad, but one thing led to another and I forgot. The place is old, but nice and pretty clean. I'm sure it depends on what room you get though, so maybe ask for a room switch if you think it's dirty or something. My bed sucked—you could feel the springs in your back. The coffee is pretty un-drinkable, so unless you like coffee flavored medicine, I would bring your own. Also, the food was hit or miss, and pretty expensive for Vietnam. I pretty much only ordered rice, which was passable. Bottom Line: There are much better places to stay in South Vietnam. Don't stay anywhere in Long Hai, Vung Tau is much better.

This was my first time in Vietnam and I did not know what to expect. The Seaview Hotel is a hidden gem! It's off the main road in the small town of Long Hai, about 15 minutes by scooter (or taxi) from the resort town of Vung Tau. The hotel is newer than most and very well kept. My room was a nice size with a large walk-in rain shower and a nice balcony facing the mountain overlooking the town. If you choose to have a meal or meals there at the hotel you will not regret it. The cook is amazing! Long Hai is a small town and there are a bunch of small local places to eat as well as the beach and several Pagodas all within walking distance. Scooters are also available for rent so you can explore up the coast (recomended - there are three must see pagodas and a more remote beach with huge stones) or venture over to Vung Tau. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay there. It has a nice, quiet small town vibe...very relaxing! This was a really great experience, with really warm people! Charles Charles Dean

We arrived at the Long Hai bus station around 4, no taxi in Long Hai. We had too much luggage to ride on a motor bike,but were lucky that a city bus came bus and it dropped us off in front of the hotel. The room was for 3 guests and we were pleased. The bathroom had a very modern shower and it was quiet all around us. The problem was that it was too far from Vung Tau which was our place of interest. It costs $25 to get a cab from Ba Ria to Long Hai and take us to Vung Tau.

We alerted An Hoa Resort that we would be arriving at approximately 8pm, but our departure was delayed. The reception staff called to check we were okay. The staff were waiting for our arrival, even though it was after working hours for some of them! With an Agoda.com booking, check-in consisted ONLY of providing identity documents! Our villa was spacious, furnished as if somebody actually lived there permanently, and only a 1 minute walk to the beach! The villa surpassed our expectations. We ate lunch and dinner in the villa, and all meals were sumptuous and delicious. The staff were brilliant with the kids (9, 8 & 5 years old) and even let us swim in the pool of a vacant adjacent villa when the kids asked! My only suggestion would be to offer a wider variety of options for breakfast. Will DEFINITELY stay here again for a weekend getaway at the beach!

They literally charged me 80K VND to rent a little pool float at the pool. Something that I can buy in town for 80K. But I said ok, and rented it and played with it. A few hours later I came back to the pool and played with it again and they insisted that I need to pay 80K again. Same day. I know the staff was just doing their job but come on. Does a policy like that make any sense? They also charged me 50K to drive 2KM to town (there is no real restaurant at the hotel) and the guy promised to pick me up when I was done, but then he called back and said he was busy and that a taxi would pick me up. His taxi never came and I had to get one myself (which is not easy in the small town of Long Hai, but protip: use the Vinasun Taxi App). It's almost like I felt they were making a game of how much they could squeeze out of me, and were laughing at me behind my back the whole time. It's a shame because the place has a lot of potential, like Coco Beach Camp in Mui Ne but closer to Saigon.

Friendly staff/owner, clean room and great location. The only minus point is when I wake up for watching sunrise at 5.30am the owner havent woken up yet, so I was locked in the motel, Lol. But when I call him, he opened the gate for me.

We went to Long Hai during peak season. This is the only hotel available at that time. It went fine but I don't recommend for next stay

The first expression was very creepy, all the rooms in the main building were lighted off... we were setup in another apartment beside the main, and we might be the only one (group) book this hotel that time (saturday), just 1 receptionist, no securities, no staffs and the worst was the location on AGODA was faked, not really near the beach but pretty far the center... the scene was very dark, it fell like we watched a horror movie...

no front desk to check in or checkout no one picks up office phone no bath towel, only a closet full of smelly towels and bedding accessories windows do not close tight so loud music from swimming pool can be heard aluminum door is thin and not well secured, wind blows and bangs the door air conditioning water outlet blocked so leaking on bed not all facilities like grocery store are built, building not 100% fully built guests have to pay extra for cleaning service at the end of stay

Spacious villa with excellent facilities. The down side is the beach is not very beautiful.
