When I booked a room at the hotel I was told early check in is subject to availability. However when I informed that I would reached 3 hours before the check in time after an 8 hr flight 4 hour wait in Bangkok and then another 1.5 hr flight, reservations said they would charge me for half a day extra (after making the booking). Since I couldn’t cancel the booking, I thought I made the biggest mistake in booking this hotel as this is no way to treat long distance travelers. When we reached the hotel the front desk was great and checked us in 15 minutes without any additional charge. The hotel exceeded our expectations on the room, the facilities and the service. The share the tower with a mall and lotte mart. The mart gives you the best exchange rates in Hanoi, even better than the old town money exchange agents or gold stores. So don’t waste your time trying to find a better place as the mart runs out of money by afternoon because of their exceptional exchange rates. Great location !

We stayed here a few days earlier, the night before our trip to Ha Long Bay , and because we were so pleased with our previous stay we decided to spend an additional three nights at Lotte when we got back to Hanoi. The staff at this hotel makes you feel so welcome, and they are genuinely pleased to take care of you. I’ve traveled all over and I can honestly say this is definitely among the top three of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed in. The room we picked was huge, very modern style, even the bathroom was really modern. I really hated to leave after the third night of staying here. As we were checking out one of the other guest had either passed out or was having some type of medical issue and one of the female employees saw him at the same time I did and she rushed to get a first aid kit to help him. Within seconds there were two or three employees helping him. I was impressed to see how fast they react to him. If you are looking for a great stay in Hanoi this is the place, conveniently attached to a 5 or 6 story shopping mall, grocery store, and restaurants. We barely left the hotel is was so relaxing.

I visited hotel twice in this summer! Whenever I visit Hanoi, I stay at lotte hotel because the service is perfect! The room is clean and the breakfast is gorgeous. Rice noodle is tje best I have ever eaten anf egg bebedict is also winderful in breakfast! The view of restapurant is very nice. I will stay at lotte hotel again when I visit Hanoi soon!!

Amazing hotel”
What a great hotel this is. Everything is modern and clean. The staff are amazing and really make your stay enjoyable. We used the indoor and outdoor pools. And spent time in all of the bars and ate at the top of Hanoi. The room was incredible with amazing views and it was so big! Theres a supermarket and shopping centre connected to the lotte centre with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The only regret we had is that we didn't spend more time there!

I and my wife enjoyed very much spending the quality of time at Lotte. Before a trip to Hanoi, I noticed to Lotte that it is our first year wedding anniversary, and I would like to give my wife a surprise! Lotte treated us very well supporting me to make my wife happy. They decorated our room with a full of flowers and prepared the cake written "Happy 1st Anniversary." Your involvement will be never forgotten in the rest of our days. Actually, this was my two or third time to stay in Lotte in Hanoi. Every time I stayed there, I have never been disappointed. Need I say more about you? Thank you a lot!

Excellent Experience”
I visit Hanoi regularly and I've stayed in the Marriott and Metropole hotels but this has everything you could want. The view from the window is stunning. OK, you don't get the the huge marbled lobby but you get a cozy room with with well appointed en suit. First hotel I've stayed in with an electric toilet, heated seat but watch the power settings on the bum wash! One down side is they have smart TV's but most features including connecting to the internet directly have been disabled. I watched UK TV by setting it up on my phone first and screen sharing to the TV. The staff are superb and I had a great visit.

I booked 4 deluxe king (w/o breakfast) for my family trip during Chinese New Year, it's also Vietnamese New Year too. The room is spacious, clean, exclusive, classy. It comes with a huge bath room and breath taking night city river view. We have missed the observation deck on the highest floor and also the departmental store which right next to the hotel due to time constraints.

The best in town”
Lotte Hotel Hanoi is so well-maintained and has the standard that no others in town can be compared with. There are two swimming pools, even though the size is rather small but only few guests use them so I still feel special. The sauna is awesome. However, if you travel with young kids then be aware that after the Lotte Shopping Centre which includes playground for kids is closed then there is nothing else to entertain them since the Skybar to enjoy the breath-taking view is not allowed for kids under 12. However, on the bright side, it's time for bed anyway.

The price was a little expensive for solo travelers but it really worth it I think. Every staff was very kind. Also, my flight was in the night time so I have to check out in the morning. They kept my luggage until night and, for the check out date, I could use their facilities (especially, sauna) for free. It was very convenient for me.
