The best hotel in Muaeng Chiang Rai”
Nice staff ready for service 24 hours. The vibe was very nice. The room was very clean. I can borrow the bicycle for free to travel around the hotel. It’s very near to the blue temple. And the best thing in Luck Sawan is the breakfast!! It’s really worth it. I can’t wait to stay at Luck Sawan next time when visit Chiang Rai

Recently refurbished. ”
Many parts of this property have been refurbished and the room we stayed in certainly was. We stayed in a deluxe pool access room which was big and we'll equipped. The veranda had direct access to the pool and was great for the kids. The best part of our stay was to be assisted by "Fah". An English speaking Thai staff member. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for a better room, you won't be disappointed.

We were impressed with the resort and pool - we definitely weren't expecting what we got because we paid such a low price. This place is very good value for money!! The staff were very friendly and helpful too. However, there are some things you need to know, especially for families with young children. The pool, although very clean, has no cover so hats and sunscreen are a must. There is also no barrier separating the deep pool from the children's pool, so you need to be watching your children AT ALL TIMES! It is very easy for them to be walking along in the children's pool and all of a sudden step onto ground that is too deep for them to stand. I highly recommend the hotel put a barrier there before something happens. Luck Swan is also a few kms out of town which is great for those who have a car or tour guides picking them up, but not for those who want to be able to walk to the night market. The only other thing is that it seems to be a popular place for meetings and large tours, which meant that for both nights during our stay there were tour groups from other asian countries that arrived late at night and were yelling near our door (past 10pm). This, of course, is not the hotel's fault. But just something to be aware of. It can happen at any place. If this becomes a problem it would be good for the hotel to put up signs asking guests to be mindful of others. For those with a low budget who want a clean, professional hotel with a swimming pool, and have your own transport to the places you need to go in Chiang Rai, Luck Swan is a great choice.

the luck swan had great beds, a nice pool and was quiet. the downside, it was a bit out of the way from where the action of chiang rai. fortunately, chiang rai is an easy city to get around.

Enjoyable stay”
Luck Swan is a nice place with many selling points (clean, air-conditioned, rooms etc), however, the location is outside the city and they do not have an employed tuk-tuk service, so expect to pay at least 100 b for every one-way trip to-and-from the hotel. The staff, although helpful, speaks no English, including the reception desk. Other than these two cons, my stay was a pleasant experience.

We had a baby, but the hotel did not have a cot. We made a make-shift bed. The pool was quite nice and clean. The breakfast was good and an "American" breakfast. Once a big tour group came in and more rooms were booked, the breakfast was buffet which was quite expansive. The location is a little distance from downtown, and there are not many taxis in Chiang Rai. We are quite familiar with the city and borrowed a friend's car, so the hotel was good for us for the price.

okay for 1 night if you are flying in or out of chiang rai. rooms are clean, has a small pool, breakfast is average for thailand. if you want to go to the night bazaar and don't have your own car they will call a tuk-tuk (taxi) for you.

My room was about a night and for that price it was great. The staff were really helpful, great at organising taxis and things. Nice pool but the pool next door is much nicer and they've no problem with you eating there and using it!

Decent hotel with good location”
The hotel offers good room but breakfast is quite limited and restaurant needs better improvement on food varieties. The hotel is a low rise complex with no lift service making it difficult for old aged visitors to get onto the second and third floors rooms.
