Perfect place to stay in Hue ”
We stayed 2 nights in Lucky Home Stay. The owner was really flexible. He woke up at night to let us enter the hotel. The service in Lucky was really great - we could rent a motorbike there to visit the city. It was also possible to rent a motorbike to go to Hai Van Pass. The towels were new every day. Everything was well organised. Breakfast was always fresh and tasty. The owner of the hotel also invited us to a dinner with his family. It was so nice and pleasant experience. We highly recommend Lucky Home Stay! :)

Good deal ”
Only stayed for one night, but the room was nice (lots of windows, spacious, very clean) and the bed was actually pretty comfy! They gave us an extra blanket upon request which was nice. The staff were friendly without being in your face. The breakfast was good, and we appreciated the fresh fruit with our omelet/bread :) hard to beat the price and if I came back to hue I would definitely stay here again!

Exceptional”
Lucky Homestay is basic but good value and is in a great location. They provided us with a map of Hue and recommended things to do plus they arrange any tours/bus journeys for you. The breakfast included was great. If you’re on a tight budget like us, then this place is ideal.

Absolutely loved this place. Such a good place for the price, exceed our expectations. Large spatious rooms filled with natural light. Clean and well looked after by a kind family. Great location. Highly recommend and would stay here again any time we go to hue

Good cheap place to stay. ”
Rooms were spotless. People were friendly and helpful, laundry service was very good. The only issue was with the motor bike we rented. It was through another guy they called to bring us a bike. The first would not start, the second broke down when we were 25 Kms away. They sorted everything out for us but just check the bikes closely before renting. Overal a very good cheap place to stay in the centre of Hue.

Great location, excellent hosts”
Stayed here over xmas and it will perfect. The owner, Duan (I think that's how you spell it) was great and on xmas eve he invite all the guests to a big family meal, all the guests were able to get to know each other and it was a wonderful gesture, he even supplied free beer. Close to all the good restaurants and a 10 walk to the citadel. Next time I am in Hue, this is where I will be staying!

Charming homestay”
I spent 3 nights at Lucky Homestay. What a charming house! The hosts are super nice and make you feel at home as soon as you check in. Unlike a lot of typical hostel, this place is more for those who are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay. The location is very convenient but away from the noisy pubs and busy streets. If you love running, you will enjoy the early morning run along the river. The breakfast is also very delicious. The morning I checked out, I had to take the 4:40 train to Da Nang, the host even packed a small breakfast for me to take on the train. How nice!! I will definitely stay there again.

Nothing to complain about :) The gentleman running the place was very kind and helpful with a good understanding of what tourists like. He arranged trip for the 4 of us to Bach Ma natural park, a fantastic place and then on to Hoi An, another fantastic place. I read one comment about people being unpleasant in Vietnam: from what we can tell this applies only to the North and we fully agree. But from Hue on down to HCMC, people are absolutely fantastic.

nice hostel, close to the bus stop (why I chose it). I only stayed a couple of nights but I'd stay again if I was ever back in Hue. It's near the backpacker area by far enough away to be quiet at night.

Great Hotel and Awesome Hospitality!!!”
Great hotel, great breakfast, and AMAZING hospitality!!! The hotel is in a good location with many good restaurants close by. although not close, it is also within walking distance of the Citadel. The hotel also has good facilities. The shower was great, the bed was comfortable, and it had both a fan and air-conditioning which worked well. The room also comes with a free breakfast and drink which was very good. I recommend the banana pancakes! The owner was also great. He speaks English well, so you can easily talk to him about tips for the town or to book an excursion. He was very helpful as well. He gave us directions when we tried to tour the area by Scooter, booked a tour of the town for us when that didn't work out, and booked a tour of the DMZ for us; both tours picked us up from the hotel. He also rents scooters. On our first day in town we rented a scooter from the hotel and we're driving through the countryside to see the 'City of the Dead,' when we got in a wreck; it was not the fault of the scooter at all (someone cut us off). After we called him about the wreck he came to pick up the moto, then came to the hospital to sit with us till we were ready to leave and gave us a ride back to the hotel. Once there he made sure that we were ok and that we had a room till we felt better to continue our travels. I can't stress enough how great a guy the owner is and how much I recommend this hotel!

Perfect place and delicious pancakes”
Our stay was for couple days but it was very relaxing. Room was nice and clean with large comfy bed. Ensuit shower and toilet were also in good condition. With hot water. And complimentary breakfast every morning was just amazing. Especially fried pancakes with banana and chocolate. Owners of the homestay really care of their guests. We were always welcome with big smile. We would definitely reccommend Lucky homestay and if we'll have a chance will stay again.

My favourite homestay so far”
The couple running this quiete, old home stay are very friendly and not at all pressuring. Their place is both central and clean, with the beds being the most comfortable ones I've slept in so far on my trip. Its between the open bus station and the citadel (=where you'll do !most of your sightseeing

Lovely stay and very nice owners”
I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed my stay. The owner is very kind and helpful. The room was clean and.comfortable however the aircon wasn't very strong so the room was still warm even on the coldest setting. The room could also benefit from black out curtains on both the door and windows. The sunrise beams right onto the bed which was annoying. Also the door has frosted glass so light shines in from the corridor and also the adjacent room. Easily resolved with an eye mask. If booking the dorm room be aware that if the light is on you can see into the room. Unfortunately there was some construction work on the building at the back so a rude 7am wake up call, not owner's fault though. The breakfast options are really good and the chocolate banana pancake is really delicious. Apart from the small issues it was a good stay and the owner is really nice.

Home sweet home”
As I got there, the owner showed me to my room and told me to come down for dinner later that evening. Little did I know that he had cooked for all of the guests staying there that night (about 20 people) and had a case of beers waiting for us ! He was celebrating the one-year anniversary of his home-stay and greeted us all as family members. Awesome ! The only drawback was when I saw them "clean" the rooms. The sheets were not changed, they just wiped off the hairs left by the previous guest and tightly tucked the sheets as if they were brand new.

The house has a perfect location: central but quiet. We had a warm and friendly welcoming, the room was very clean and the breakfast always delicious. The hosts gave us locale tips and recommended us different tours that they booked for us. We even had the pleasure of taking a tour to Bach Ma together with the hostess and we spent a lovely time. Trang Le was so kind to take the time to chat with us during the tour. She has told us a lot about the Vietnamese culture and nature and also took many photos of us that are really good. Thank you for everything! :)

Best panckake for breakfast”
We enjoyed our stay at this hostel. Staff is really nice and the panckake were delicious. We wanted to stay one more night but as the hostel was full, we took à room in another hotel. We came back to take our bus ticket for Hoi an as it was really less expensive than in our second hotel.

Amazing stay”
We booked one of the double rooms with its own bathroom. Great value for the room which was big and clean, had AC and a really good breakfast included. The family is lovely and always ready to help. The location is very good and close to the main attractions of the city, as well as to some very nice street food and restaurants. Highly recommended!
