The hotel is in Mae rim , Chiangmai where is good atmosphere , especially during Dec til Feb you can see fog that cover mountain. The hotel is on mountain however they have shuttle car in their hotel and it is conveinience. I love view of this hotel. Nice food at Panorama restaurant and you can see overall view from this restaurant as well. The room is clean and good. They have jacuzzi in room and we can see TV from jacuzzi, nice!!!! I recommend that this hotel has the best view of Mae Rim.

I stayed in the Jacuzzi tub with mountain views and it was clean and nice. Although Thailand hasn't figured out the memory foam mattress toppers yet, the staff attempted to provide a mattres covering to help with the hardness if traditional beds in Thailand. The price was a bit expensive considering there is a gorgeous resort up the road for the same price, but I travel with a small dog, so options are limited. The hotel has a beautiful garden with a babbling brook running thru it. Mae Rim/ Mae Sa also has the Amazing Queen's botanical gardens with great trails and more to see....A beautiful taste of nature. There were cute decorative touches throughout the hotel. The staff were welcoming with a convenient pet policy. (Please keep Thai hotel owners happy with foreigners traveling with their pets as over the years, many hotels stop accepting pets.) The food was really good northern style thai food with a huge breakfast. Overall, this was really nice.

We spent 2 nights at the resort. The moment we stepped inside the property, we were like "wow". The landscape is brilliantly designed. The room is spacious. The best is the Japanese style toilet. Minibar except for alcohol were free. What I don't like about the room is that a mattress (which was super comfy) was on the wooden floor. It is quite hard to get up. As well as a small low table and chair (without legs) aren't very practical especially for elderly. What really need to be improved is food. During our stay we have tried egg Benedict, congee, french toast, shabu shabu, and tempura. We were not impressed. Overall, it s a great place to stay if you do not have problem with mobility.

The hotel stay was a great opportunity to enjoy nature and the plentiful sights of the Mae Rim and Chiang Mai areas. Close to the city but not too close. Visits to Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens, Mae Sa Waterfall, Mon Chem, Mon Tawan, Doi Suthep Temple, Bhubing Palace etc. etc. So much to see, so little time.....we will be back, that's a promise!

We live in Chiang Mai and just wanted to get out of the city for a night or two. The Resort is not far from many cafes and other attractions in the Mae Rim area. It is quite a small Resort. Luckily for us, there weren't many others staying there at the time we did. If it were crowded, then I think we would not have enjoyed it as much. But it was mainly just us when we swam at the pool, and never really heard from the other guests. The TV channels weren't very good. Thankfully there was free internet. Breakfast was nice. The pool could use a filter of some sort as the water was quite cloudy and had particles of stuff floating around. But the water smelled clean and it seems like it's a low chlorine, more natural type. So that was good.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is new and modern.the most impressive things were the awesome natural view and fresh air. the staff are really kind.This is the best recommended hotel at Mae Rim, Chiang Mai.

At first, our impression started from Khun Ood, representative of Kangsadan Resort, gave good hospitality and took us up to the resort. Along the way, he gave useful idea for attractions in CNX especially in Mae Rim. Between our stay, all staffs are full of passion to serve us the most convenience. Now, we talk about their location. Imagine when you wake up, open a room door and then you can see waterfall on your right and sea of fog on your left. (Luckily ours, on the night before there was heavy rain while we slept. That was source of fog.) We felt like paradise on earth.

After staying in Chiang Mai for 2 days, we booked hotel in Mae Rim to enjoy a slightly different feel with more mountains and nature. We chose Monoceros resort and it turned out to be great! The place is relatively new so you can see that it's really clean and well maintained. There are only 10 individual bungalows so rest assured you can have all the peace you need in this resort. Price is very reasonable for the quality of accommodation that we got. Another thing that is worth mentioned and praised is the food served here during our dinner and breakfast. We mostly had dishes from their Isaan food menu list and everything is so niceee.. All were very fresh, tasty and not your typical thai fare so definitely worth the try while you're in Northern Thailand. Overall stay is enjoyable and i will recommend Monoceros Resort for your stay in Mae Rim..!

this is our first trip to chiang mai, and we are so impress with our choice of choosing away suansawan. the location is great at mae rim, within 20-30 mins away to the mae sa elephant camp, and other nice restaurants. and staff is always friendly to help. must see/try out: mae sa elephant camp pongyang restaurant panviman spa resort - dining

Room and service are very good. The location is quite far from Mae Rim-landmark. Suitable with family.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was friendly. There were some minor communication problems when we were trying to plan activities and getting around, but everyone was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is a tad outside the city so it takes a bit more effort to plan cars and pick up/drop off times than if you were in the center. The facilities were great and there were some nice touches for the holidays like small gifts for my kids. They also let us check out late which made our last day so much easier. We will come back.

Hotel staffs are very nice and have positive service kind. Location- not too far from the city. Convenient if you have a car. Near many attractions in Mae Rim. Hotel decoration is interesting. Theybuse good quality products. Room size very spacious. The only two things I don't like are the fake flowers (too may) and the overperfumed rooms in the lobby and bedroom. Without fake flowers, the hotel would have looked much more elegant because the building itself is beautiful already. Bedroom- very comfy and clean beddings. The bathroom is very spacious and well equipped. In the kitchen, They even have a nespresso machine provided for you. My kids enjoy the bike ride in the hotel area.

Truely the best, organising my next visit as we speak- pure relaxation, and bliss. The staff could not do enough to accomadate us! and the private bbq we had laid on at sunset every evening was amazing and very good value for money!! they laid on a banquet fit for a king!! If you want to stay somewhere that is truely unique, private and modern with amazing service this is the place for you!! Oh and you own huge private pool bliss!!

Mountain bungalow is very nice and peaceful. Situated at the edge of Mae Rim Samerng Road so it is very easy to get to the hotel and to other point of interests on this road

This place is a little hard to find as it is off the beaten track. You need to drive to Mae Rim and turn off to a track leading to a small hill where you will find about 12 cottages of different room configurations (basically either 3 beds or twin sharing). The view is breathtaking and you can really smell the fresh mountain air. The room rates which I booked during my stay was quite steep but the warm hospitality of the owner made my stay a memorable one. The property is surrounded with flora and fauna which was an enriching experience for a city person like me.

Went on a weekend trip with my girlfriend and stayed at the resort. It's perfectly located in the nature and close to Mae Rim Plaza (if you need to buy stuff).. The people running the place are so nice and accommodating. Room was great, pool was nice, good breakfast. Will definitely visit again.

I wanted a few days at a resort, and a health retreat really interested me. After reading various reports on Trip advisor, I decided to book the Spa Report, Mae Rim, 40 minutes out of Chaing Rai. It was a good decision! Whilst I didn't do a detox or yoga package, I was able to eat fabulist raw or vegetarian food at their Resturant. The also have fish and chicken. The also have some wine ( but didn't indulge)The food was reasonably priced for a resort. I paid for my massages, and facials etc, which are often included in a package. I also joined a yoga session. All 4 in the group where at different standards and the yoga leader catered for us all. She was fabulous. The swimming pool, 11 steps from my room, was fine for doing laps, or lazing around chatting. I did the complimentary village walk on my first evening, and found plenty to occupy my time here. One of the good things about this resort was there were quite a few other solo travellers. They were mainly here to do a detox or fasting program. There were also a group of guests doing the boot camp. Again they were predominately solo travellers or couples. Most of the guests I spoke with were here for one to three weeks. I had a hire car from Chaing Mai, so was able to leave the resort and explore the area. I do recommend this resort, and will likely come back, with a group of friends and rent a villa/house and participate in a program.....

It's not that far from Chiang Mai just past Mae Rim. Easy to find and if you are a dog lover, this place is excellent for you. I was here with my wife only for a night away from the city. The room we got had a big bath Tub outside on the veranda. Not that private but private enough for a good soak in warm water for two people. The pool is lovely, well kept and the room size, even though small, was well appointed with a good King Bed. The shower room was excellent with good hot water, and the snacks and drinks in the bar fridge came free with the place. The breakfast is simple Thai/American affair (small sausages) and not that great to talk about in my view. For a night away for a private time and a soft bed and good food (the menu is fine for Thai foods as I saw others eating what looked like got fair). I will go back again but with friends next time. Keep up the excellent work. This hotel for the price is okay for what (and not what) you get.

We were on our honeymoon and the Four Seasons upgraded to us to a rice view villa, first floor room 1404 which was super nice of them. They also gave Harriette a beautiful bouquet of lotus blossoms. The room had a lovely outdoor sitting area nestled in the rice fields which, at night, were light up with torch lights. The food was good and the wine a bit on the expensive side. You could order a dinner entre for what a glass of decent wine cost. We drank vodka mojitos which were delicious but the standard glass was a bit small so we would get them served in the tall glass with extra soda. As mentioned the pools were small. Best thing we did while there was the "Elephant keeper for a day" where we each had our own elephant and were taught how to care for it, feed it, bathe it, check its health, clean it, and ride it on the neck and head. We rode them through the forest to a waterfall where the elephants played in the pool at the base of the waterfall and it was magical. Also went to a great restaurant in town call Ginger which was the best Thai food we had on the entire trip. We checked out the Night Market as well but there was nothing decent to buy except some linen pants which were dirt cheep. As far as the hotel is concerned it is beautiful and well maintained with top notch service. There is a beautiful pond with old Thai style houses where you can do yoga or just chill out. There is also a out house that is two stories high and truly a throne. This is a great place! I can't say enough good things about it. We just stayed at Mae Nai Gardens for a week with our family of four plus and just moved to another place in Mae Rim for a week. It is a very nice resort with all the nice amenities and restaurant and beautiful grounds, but I am having remorse about not staying the entire time at Mae Nai Gardens. Something about the peace and quiet and simplicity of it all gives it a unique soul that I am not getting here this week and am missing now. I may go back next week and stay another week or two. First off, let me tell you what it is and what it isn't. If you want a luxury resort with a restaurant and lot of amenities, this is probably not the place for you. There is no restaurant here which I first thought would be a big deal. They offer breakfast each day in a very nice space with really everything you need, eggs cooked to order, large plate of fruit, toast, jam, and coffee. Having two young kids, we normally need the place to have a restaurant to make it easy so we aren't having to fend for food twice a day. I visited the property before booking it online to check everything out and see if it matched all of our objections. We found that having no restaurant was not a dealbreaker for the week as there is a nice restaurant about a five minute walk down the dirt road. The restaurant had lots of great choices with fairly good service and quick turnaround that met our needs for lunches each day. Dinner was handled each day with the local driver "Mr Cat" picking us up each day at 5:30 pm and taking us to an assortment of great restaurants in the area to sample some of the best that Mae Rim has to offer. This made the week's evening dining more fun and exciting than the normal dining at the same resort restaurant each night. And without the worry of driving yourself at night or knowing how to get there. Coming from Koh Samui, taxis here are way cheaper and the daily cab cost of having this service made way more sens

We only stayed one night in this hotel, but had no complaints. It is still very new so it is clean and beautiful. The breakfast is great. The staff is very helpful. We arrived late in the evening so the hotel restaurant was closed already but the staff drove us to another restaurant and waited there for us, all for free, very good service.

We upgraded our room to a big size and it was very comfortable. That night was about 6 celsious, so the portable heater provided was useful. The shower was separated from the restroom and the sink, which was nice. The day bed was great and we loved the balcony. This place is far from Maerim, so once you go up to the resort, you can't or wouldn't want to go down to the Mae Rim activity scene as the road was windy. The food and the shows were great.

We went to the trip with 2 kids. Resort is quite far away of the center but it's so peaceful. It could be suitable with someone who loves to hide away from the hustle and bustle. The view around is so nice with the mountain around. I love Honeyhill and love Mae Rim

we stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed hanging around in the farm especially during early morning. There are 3 rooftop area with great paddy field views, at night they turn into great star view. The hosts are friendly and helpful, they made us great breakfast and dinner. Mea Rim have scenic view from the mountain, it's not far from the farmstay, we took a half day tour in motorbike going along the road up to mountain (mon jam).

We arrived at 10pm (flight from BKK was delayed). Pete And Ying assisted us to our villa and offered to cook dinner for us. We declined as we had been travelling from SIN since morning. At dawn, we were greeted with a beautiful scene - rice field, farms, temple and mountains in the background. Fabulous 6days we had... peace and quiet. Strong WiFi throughout. Fresh fruits from the premises. Pete and Ying were extremely accommodating - good tips for trips, local cafes, massages and even recommended us to a shop for kitchen/home wares. Food- must try Ying's Fried Rice, Pad Thai and her series of curries. Must try the Banana & Coconut Shake! Country Retreat is at the gateway to the Mae Rim areas- waterfalls, cafes, Eco farms, animal sanctuaries, local indigenous communities. We truly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks Pete and Ying (and everyone there)!!!!

The place is surrounded by rice fields in a very local area, hence not easy to access but quiet and peaceful. Room was a bit aged and not very well maintained with damp/paint odour. Worse than expectation but ok for a short stay. Probably one of the better ones in Mae Rim.

Such a great stay here with a great service and attention in all requests. People @ FIRST are very nice to help and put me in a sense of relaxation. No worry to be here as a modern style residence with a homey atmosphere. I absolutely will be back here again if I visit Mae-rim.

Beautiful decor for dog friendly hotel. Open large space for our husky to explore. The food is very good for both breakfast and dinner. Good value for money. Strongly recommended.

This is a magnificent place to stay in! The resort is so unique, and whoever designed it has amazing taste. You can tell they work really hard to make sure the place is pristine. The staff there were so helpful, and everything is very casual and laid back. Possible con is that since it is in Mae rim, it is about a half hour drive from the center of Chiang Mai. We never had trouble getting an uber, however when uber had to pick us up at the resort, they’d get lost. But, no worries, bc staff at the resort will motorbike to find the uber for you! Great place to stay if you are visiting Chiang Mai but don’t want to be in the middle of hustle and bustle. Mr. Wong and Apple are the best!
