Economical Hotel with Good Facilities ”
I found it very poor management this time rather than my one year ago trip. The most common problem is about the area of washrooms and its drainage. Except this issue, every thing was fine and fantastic, nice beds, cleanliness, good location, good shuttle service and most economical. I would recommend for stay again....

I always stay in one of the makarem properties everytime i am in Makkah for the last few years. Because i have felt marakem makes an effort to provide customers with clean and comfortable stay. But not Shorofat for sure. Makarem Al Bait being even cheaper than Shorofat is light years ahead in terms of quality of rooms, amenities, facilities and most importantly cleanliness. As soon as i entered the room, it didnt feel right. First...The quadruple room had 2 box mounted mattress and the rest 2 were slighly smaller bed frames with weird wheels. The kinds hotels use as extra beds for children. Asked the reception about it and they informed me that apparently all rooms have mixed beds. The washroom had shabby floors but i was like what the hell... i just checked at 3:00 am after Umrah. Then the hose under the wash basin was leaking. That got fixed quickly with a new hose. Next I realized the commode is leaking flush water. Informed the front desk and after a little talk with a facility guy, even that got fixed and we cudnt use the washroom for an hour as the white cement base had to dry. But how could a commode leak flush water and the maintanance staff not know about it. How could you alot such rooms to customers? I heard Makarem acquired this property recently and looks like who ever made this property was in a hurry. Door panels are partly coming off. Bathroom fittings are a disgrace for Makarem standards. Over head shower and hand held shower are leaking water from the sides when turned on. The shower does not even have a soap dispenser!!. How the hell does one shower in peace then??? holding the soap in one hand or always keeping it back on the side of the wash basin?... and the shower partition is a joke... water seeps into the main bathroom floor coz the partition is not high enough. And no cloth hooks in bathroom.... only a protruding screw end of what may have been a cloth hanger . The shuttle was spot on and and the suhur was fantastic because both o

Has shuttle bus so going to Haram is fine, but on the way back waiting at the bus terminal is dire with 4 young kids with all the fumes added to the heat and havoc. My kids found it distressing amongst all the shambles. Hotel is ok for a shot stay- no frills. But with young kids would recommend staying close to Haram although it cost a lot more.

طبعا العنوان المذكور غير مطابق للحقيقه واستخدام الموقع للوصول للفندق مضلل ويؤدي بك الى اماكن مهجوره على الجبل وللوصل لمكارم الشرفات عليك التوجه اولا لفندق مكارم ام القرى بشارع أجياد وهناك سيدلوك على مسار قصير ( ليس شارع ) عبر ارض غير ممهده تستخدم كموقف سيارات يوصلك لمكارم الشرفات. طبعا الغرفه غير مطابقه لما في الوصف لكنها ليست سيئة ... ومتاح لك ركوب باص فندق مكارم ام القرى لايصالك الى الحرم .وللعلم مكارم الشرفات مباشرة خلف مكارم ام القرى وهناك ممر جانبي لام القرى يوصلك مباشرة الى الحافله

Big warning stc Mobile network does not work in many rooms so careful while selecting room. Only room is there with very small bath No Glass or cup or even a plate available in room No kettle in room When asked from staff to provide a Glass or cup they refused and said we provide only room and no such facilities are there in our menue. Most of the time reception is empty. phone service in room is not working to contact house keeping or reception. Sorry that even they feed Agoda with wrong information about room example there is kettle provided in room etc. All wrong..... The only good service was bus shuttle pick and drop which is shared with makarem umulqora hotel.

Some utilities not working TV /HAIR DRYER. If someone booking should read clearly about breakfast. I thought it was included but unfortunately not. There will be SR 30/person to get breakfast in the opposite Hotel. Anyhow, two days could be handled.

Quick check-in even though there was no one at the reception. You'll need to call the staff from their other hotel Makarem Umm Al Qura. Decent facilities. Parking available outside. Suhur was great!

Bad Receptionists ”
We were informed that our check-in time was 16.00 but once we returned back to the hotel at 16.00 the room wasnt ready, infact the room that was vacant for us was given to one of the receptionists friend (Receptionist name: Abdulaziz Al-Baharawi). We were kept in the lobby for more than an hour. 4 hours ahead we had even informed that we will check-in after performing our Umrah. Hotel Location right behind Makarem Ummul Qura Hotel.
