Travelling with a young toddler means locations has got to be everything, so Hatten was perfect for a short getaway in Malacca. It's convenient to all the shopping malls and right in the heart of Malacca city. Also a short drive away to the heritage sites. We had the Premier Suite and the room was reasonably spacious and clean. Fantastic views and fantastic services i.e. welcome drinks, fruit basket etc. Check in and check out was great and fast. The pool was of course lovely and overlooks the Malacca city which was great. One disappointing factor was the food which wasn't really good and also the shared parking with the malls.

Before booked i read the review and so many guests said this apartment quite bad. However, after arrived there, the apartment is soooooo clean and beautiful. I dont get it why so many guests complained about ut. Me and my family love the apartment so much, it was clean with english-style for interior design and has nice view of Malacca city. I am recommended to family trip to stay here. The facilities are superb especially the swimming pool as you can watch the view of Malacca while swimming. And also you can watch sunset if you swim around 6.30 - 7pm. Besides, i dont get it guests said that they are having difficulty to wait for the lift and parking. But for us the lift was so fast and for the parking you just need to follow the directions from the receptionist. They guide you precisely to where you should park. At first before check in, you just drop by someone at the lobby to check in until the gave you the direction where to park. Overall, this apartment is highly recommended !

Been queuing for more then 40mit to check in (I arrived hotel lobby at 3.50pm, 6.20pm to reach my room)while my turn to check in was informed one room has been upgrade to hotel tower so we stay separate tower with my parents (I booked residence tower). Over all my stay here for one night experience, my advise for you don't book residence tower as even is new hotel but the room no well maintain and the most important the lift, oh my god this is so horrible!!! I bet 10 customer out of 9.5 are complaining the same problem of the lift! 1) we waited lift just get to our room for more then 15mit , trust me is more then 15mit, there is 6 lift on 3A(reception floor) but only 4 lift can access to residence room and the lift no air-con can you imagine from 3A to level 20th floor(the highest 42 floor) the lift are full and need to stop at almost every floor the smell of sweat in lift so disgusting !空气不流通 2) My hubby call housekeeping ask to send toothbrush set Coz there is no provide in our room and we been wait for more then 40mit . hello is 40mit ,just to get toothbrush !!!! Terrible! I do went to my parents room which in hotel tower at level 11 floor ,the room maintenance and housekeeping/room services and the most important lift much better and faster we ask for extra pillow send to room just within 10mit, same hotel same management but service so much different. 3) on the second day before check out i took shower and wash my hair after all only realize there is no hair dyer at room my hubby call again to house keeping ask for it and still waited for 20mit just to send one hair dyer, really fed up of it My advise to Swiss garden malacca management : Your staff are friendly and good smiling enough, first thing to change is the residence lift must have a solution to solve the main problem and hire more staff. I Will only be back after have improvement otherwise no way, same price we can have many option and better hotel in malacca.

Its very great hotel located at the heart of Malacca city. I just want to make some complains about your gym center. The equipment is not well maintains. For the cycling equipment, I can't find the power supply to make functions button work. And also don't have a TV to customer enjoy the entertainment. Hope you can a different at the gym center.

My daughter and I like spacious room. This is one of the reason we chose The Pines. And it is in the heart of Malacca city, convenient, easy access to historical attraction places and food outlets. An incident happened on the night of our stay. My daughter was bathing at about 9.30pm. I dozed off but then woke up by some noise. Someone above my floor were jumping. I did try to sleep back but couldn't. Then my daughter came out from bath also complained about the jumping noise. I called to reception to make the complaints. The hotel staff changed my room to executive floor. And the duty manager said the guests who stayed above my room were playing with bouncing ball! We were pleased with the hotel's swift response to our complaints and request to change room. To me, I am impressed with their actions.

I had stayed at the hotel for 1 night. The location of the hotel is closed to Dutch Square (as Malacca City is small). The room of the hotel is good and the breakfast is good. I can say that it is a value for money

This is the third time I come to malacca, first time stay at city area. Previously I stay around jonker street. This hotel quite new in malacca city, and get the mostly higher recommendation from fb. Each room have their own bathtub, it’s so surprising me with the price which I can get a room with shower tub. So far, is the best hotel for me. Bcos it was beside the bridge, so din have multi lever car park. But their providing parking coupon for their visitors, not bad~ Suitable for those traveling with own car. And it was just a short walking distance to reach shopping mall and around 15 min to jonker street with some famous food around that area. One thing make me feel disappointed which is the mini refrigerator not enough cold for my ice bag😅😅😅 cos the next day I need to used it for take away the Nadeje cake for more then 5 hours. Lastly, I hope the hotel will mantain their friendly and helpful service. Sure I will come back to this hotel for my next time trip.

Me & wife spent a night at this hotel. The hotel is located at the centre of Malacca city. All major attraction is around walking distance from the hotel. The hotel itself is well designed & decorated. The environment is calm which facing a Malacca river & a evening sunset. What a surprise for us is , the bathroom is so spacious like it can be made another single room. We love the bathtub which facing the evening sunset. However , we only face with minor issue..The hotel staff entertaining us is not so friendly. They are not really up to the mark for duty that day. Hope management can look into this because hotel staff will give first impression for the hotel overall perception. Other than that, we are glad we can stay at this lovely hotel. We would love to come again in the future.

the room was nice and have great atmosphere. the staff was helpful and responsive to our requests. the price was also good money value. it is located to all tourist attractions and most great places in malacca city is within walking distance from this hotel. overall, our stay in this hotel leaves good impression and great feelings inside.

Price is reasonable,located in Malacca city center very strategic location. easy to find food, a lot of hawkers located around hotel. However, hotel room is old with terribel smell, need to refurnish.

really a nice hotel to stay in malacca. the location is just beside jonker walk the attractive street to visit and also at city center that close to shopping mall, historical monument/building and museum. my family also enjoy a big private jacuzzi inside the room and also night panorama view of malacca town from classic window at night. recommended hotel to stay and relax in malacca city center.

The staffs are so friendly and the room is so clean and classy (even in the eyes of my girlfriend....and she‘s very choosy 😉). There was always hot and cold water available in a dispenser down the floor. The bathroom was modern and also very clean. It’s located near the city and all the tourist spots in Malacca could be reached in a short walk. We had a great vacation, the staff helped us with every question we had, like getting a grabcar, booking a bus going to Singapore or just tell us about the best sightseeing locations. Will come again for next visit.

We stayed here for 3D2N and were quite skeptical initially due to the feedback from visitors staying in this hotel. Due to the affordable rate we decided to give a try. And we nvr regret! Will come back again! Pros: 1) walking distances to Menara Taming Sari 2) museum 3) Bandar Hilir 4) Mahkota Parade and Dataran Pahlawan Mall 5) Jonker Street *took GRAB for just RM4 👍🏼 and many more interesting places 6) there’s complete standard toiletries such as toothbrush n paste, small comb, body spa and hair soap mounted on the bathroom wall tiles (which is acceptable) 7) 2 bottles of mineral waters with 2 sachet of 3-1 coffee brand Bintang 😁 8) coffee maker, small flat LCD TV with local programmes 9) u can ask for complimentary tourist booklet at the reception counter should u want to refer to interesting places around the vicinity, it’s very helpful 10) trust me there’s no bed bugs as what others feedback, our bed was clean and the blanket too. Just don’t use the runner on the bed. Put it aside 11) the hotel provide storage to leave our luggage upon check out. We left our luggage with the hotel to go for our last minute shopping as our coach depart the malacca bus terminal at 5pm. 12) for those who wish to hv night supper there’s 24hr eateries within walking distance and very affordable Cons: 1) Beware there’s no lock to the bathroom and the partition is made from opaque thick acrylic board which somehow could see shadows of the person bathing inside. 😂 2) the hotel provide 2 bath towels but were true enough from others feedback it’s old but trust me they’re washed 3) miserable 1 power socket at the side of the bed. 🙃 not an issue to me as I hv spare powerbank 😃 4) there’s no in-house cafe or restaurant in this hotel 5) no gym or other recreation facilities but it’s okie 👌 cz most of the time we r outside venturing malacca city 😁👍🏼 Useful info: for those who do not drive, fret not u can simply use GRAB application to go here and there conveniently for

It was Chinese New Year and I was expecting a whole load of customers and will take a long time to check in. Surprisingly, I was wrong. The staff made an effort to serve us as fast as they could. Knowing we were not good in conversing in Bahasa Malaysia, they spoke to us in fluent English, which is very comforting. They even played Chinese new year songs to drive up the atmosphere. The wifi is also good, can even access it in my room to upload photos to instagram instantaenously. The place itself was also very spacious. It was very good to get around to the Malacca city for shopping. :)

Nice location with cheap eateries only minutes of walking and near to the city center and the Malacca sentral bus terminal. The wooden furnishings could really use some fixings. Got a huge upgrade to a family room even though only for a solo traveler. The extra amenities provided is very much appreciated.

The best hotel so far with cheaper price. The breakfast were good. Varieties and healthy. Facilities were nice and good. Easy access to Klebang and city center. Suitable to bring family member together. Will repeat again someday.

I was staying there for 3d 2n during the June holiday with family and younger children. Location was good as it is near the City Area. We manage to explore Malacca city with the help of the hotel's driver. Had a great experience.

The hotel is situated very near to the malacca city town and it is very easy to locate the hotel. The room is very clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. And the opening of the hotel is same as my birthday,11 November. Our 2 nights stay are marvelous and fantastic. We are looking forward to stay at your hotel for our next trip

very clean. and strategic location to many places of interest in Malacca. although the hotel is in the heart of the city, but at night its very quite. room quite small for those having a small children or baby.. having a baby cot in the room might cramp the room space. choices of food is limited..however, you can opt not to have breakfast at the hotel as there are many coffee shops and cafe in surrounding. not so many facilities provided other than the gym and playground for kids..however, the parking area is free for those staying in. great stay for those who like to explore the historic place of malacca as all those place are walking distance.

I must say that this trip to Malacca staying at Holiday Inn is a big surprise for me. I drove all the way from genting Highland after 2 nights stay over there. Stepping into the Hotel lobby immediately gave me a sense of belonging and the receptionist were all very freindly and helpful with a smile on all the time. I was given a room facing the sea and I enjoy the full sun set during that evening and I took many pictures from the view of my room. Even if you are facing the other side of the room, you still get a full view of the Malacca City. You can see as far as the other end of the Beautiful City. I am a person that do not like swimming at the hotel pool but I must admit that the swimming pool at Holiday Inn really aspire me to take a deep there the other day. From the pool, you have the full view of the blue ocean right in front of you and especially there are no other major buildings there that block your view and you also enjoy 100% privacy. I also patronize the lobby lounge that night and they also telecast live football match over there. Parking is safe as the hotel provide good security at their basement carpark which was bright and clean.

Already stay here for two times. One with the family room and another one is king room. Satisfied with both type of room. The family room is spacious and comfortable for 4 people. Definitely will be staying here again if i go to malacca city centre. The only cons is no refrigerator in room. But im ok with it as the price is cheaper and compatible.

the negative side was only due to its location. pretty far from malacca city or bandar hilir. but as i travel by my own car, i'm not facing any problem bout that. but they do provide one way shuttle service, for free! positive side; fast check in and check out, friendly staff, unique hotel design, super cosy three type pillows, bathrobe is provided, complimentary note book and high quality pen and many more! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The hotel is considerably new and it is very clean and comfortable. The setting of the room is quite nice too. I am quite impress with the design. Staff was very friendly and approachable. Breakfast was ok only. I recommend to just have some bite and then go out and have some good Malacca food. Location wise..... there is good and bad in my situation. The good is that the place is easy to access to most of the attraction in Melaka within 15 minutes drive, such as Jonker street, various museum, historical place, shopping malls and foodie areas. However, as it is situated in one of the main street and our room is facing the main street, it is very noisy and it can be hard to sleep hearing the motorbike ramping on their engine till late (i heard it till 2am and then I fall asleep). If you are planing to stay here and is a light sleeper, maybe try getting a room that is not facing the main street?

Actually I book for my best friend as a surprise gift for her family have a short vacation. So that my friend doesn’t know this at all, we just communicate with her husband about this surprise. That’s why she thought her husband just want to have a short trip at malacca. And I request owner to help me prepare a birthday card to let my friend check in that suite time and surprise to see it. So owner really prepare for me and my friend really like it and surprise. At the end, she have a very happy family trip + birthday trip stay over here. Only the thing doesn’t same with agoda what owner show, is that bed not king size with no sofa bed. Only provide 2 queen size bed.

Please stay at this hotel.. :-) Firstly, the hotel is superbly located at the centre of historical places in Malacca. Jonker Street is just a three minutes walk. The famous cendol jam besar (cendol @ the famous clock tower) is 5 minutes away. Stadhyus too.. Also, the Hard Rock shop is there too... The hospitality of the staff is excellent. They are genuinely friendly. At the check in counter, at the restaurant etc. They serve you with a smile. I love the hotel room. it is very spacious and has its character. It is not really 100% baba nyonya character, but is is nice. There are onde2 (local dessert) in the room as a welcoming dish. it is nice but the taste is average. Maaybe the hotel can improve this one small thing. The swimming pool at the third floor is also nicely done up. It is not that big but the view is great. You can see Malacca city centre from here. the only set-back, the hotel rate is pricey. But then again, you are paying for all the above. So, can't complain i guess. In all, my family and i will definitely come again.

Good, very satisfy with the hotel services, facilities and location. Walking distance to mahkota shopping center only 5 minutes and go to jonker street is about 15 minutes from the hotel only. They have bicycle for rent, so we park our car at their car park and eat around in the city without troubles looking for car park. The receptionist very nice, they pin point me the most famous attraction and even draw me a map. WIFI is good and fast and it is free! This is another best thing about this hotel. They even provide lift. I feel great and amaze that they even provide the service at this level. I am surprise also with the sound proof because this hotel is located just in front of the flyover, but it was a peaceful night for me. I really have a good and comfortable sleep, they have comfortable bed and pillow. Great! I think they provide clean drinking water dispenser in the room which this is the first time I saw in a hotel. They have specific filter for drinking water just under the sink, so washing is using the normal tab water and drinking water is using another dispenser. This hotel really giving me a lot of surprise by the way they doing it if you really deep into what they design. Very user friendly! I will definitely come back to this hotel again because the services and facilities provided is perfect for me. I have no complaint for what I paid compared to other places.
