Lovely hotel with lovely staff. We stayed in the Standard room and it was unassuming but perfectly fine. Actually, the Standard rooms have the best views from the balconies with good furnitures. No restaurant on site though, only a café (although they also have beer).

Value for money, nice staff, good location”
Kudos to the front desk, super friendly and helpful. Other staffs are sweet and nice. The hotel is old and bit dark at night, but decent facilities compared with price. Location is amazing, 5mins walk to the center of Kai Bae Street. The hotel is facing amazing and quiet beach view. You can book taxi back to Trat airport and motobike rental with receiption. Perfect for budget-friendly stay. I minus one star as the room still needs to improve

Great deal, all we could ask for & great infinity pool!”
We were a group of three women looking for last minute accommodation and came across Mam Kai Bae Beach Resort. It's a short 5min walk from the main road down to the resort but we all felt safe even in the dark. The infinity pool on the 2nd floor is awesome (go there at sunrise or sunset for a little photo shoot!!) even if a little cold. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed relaxing in the sun chairs in the small private beach area. Can highly recommend, especially value for money was good.

Exceptional”
From start to finish, we loved this one and the owners. We will definitely be back. I needed to call to ask questions which weren't answerable when booking online and Mam (the owner) was very accommodating. She couldn't answer all the questions immediately as it depended on some other reservations but she assured me she would refund my money if there was a problem (despite Booking / Agoda saying it was non-refundable). In the meantime, I emailed her son, Few, who speaks much better English and was able to ensure we were on the same page. On the day we were to arrive, they even checked in with us and made sure that we knew how to get there and that they would be waiting up for us. Throughout the next few days they accommodated our needs for vegetarian breakfast and helped us find other resources and, just all around made us feel very welcome. Few's wife, Name, is another wonderful addition to the staff of this hotel. All three rooms had fantastic sunrise/set views.

I'd got a good stay”
We'd stayed at Mam Kai Bae for 5 nights. It wasn't easy to find because of the road construction. When we arrived, they charged us 2000 thb for a 6-year-old child without an extra bed. It was a little surprise. Our rooms were on the mountain. We had to climb twice a day. The breakfast was really poor and shortly served (07.30-09.30). As we were in holidays, we didn't want to be early birds! We took the breakfast around 8.00-8.30 but there wasn't lots of food. They had never refilled the buffet. If it was up, it was up!!!!.

We had a fairly good experience with the resort. The view is great for someone who likes quiet places. However, it is a little bit isolated, if you choose this resort, you should drive a car or there is 1 good restaurant, named Kai Bae just nearly. Apart from that, you do not have much choices for foods

Amazing pool, good location, staff sometimes nice ”
We got there through internet booking at which after we booked the regular rooms there was an offer to upgrade. When we got there we saw that the regular rooms are located on the slopes of the little hill (a few meters walk but still a climb of about 10-20 meters from the beach level) and that those rooms are made of a bit old wooden structure, and the pool is a at the new building which is very much like a hotel without a reception desk at it's entrance and no elevators. We decided to go for the improved and the lady at the reception desk was ready to give us the upgrade but the fee was slightly higher than what agoda offered (as a limited offer). As a 3-stars hotel in Kai-Bae, I think it's worth it, and if u do book it, make sure you also rent a kayak at the kayak rentals place next to it ;) it was great fun and on the big island you can sail to, you can buy a beer or coke (but don't bring a 1,000 note because he probably can't give change and will). Enjoy your stay and be careful from uncooked (enough) food.

Very good value, great location”
The room we booked was the cheapest option and during a busy time (Songkran). The room we got, although not quite matching the photos, was decent enough with air, warm shower, fridge, tv, comfy enough bed. There was no balcony which didn't matter. The swimming pool at the resort was brilliant, up high with great views. The downside was the afternoon sun was too intense to enjoy it. The beach at the resort was lovely, though shallow. Overall, this was a lovely place to stay and I'd go back, even though the staff at reception were amoungst the least friendliest I've encountered in Thailand.

The resort,which I have stayed at before is a very pleasant beach with an attractive view.The hotel is well maintained but my main complaint was that it was extremely noisey at night with doors slamming and noisey guests shouting and running up and down the stairs at all hours.I was also disappointed with the breakfast menu which was rather limited and basic and was the same every day for 13 days!In it's favour I will say that we arrived very early on our first day but we quickly given a room when it was ready while we waited for our second room to be prepared,For this we were very grateful as we were hot,tired and travelling with a small child.The food in the beachside café to the hotel was very good.Thankyou.

Stayed January 05/12/2019. Very clean and spacious room. Hotel is on the beach but at this time of year it is high tide meaning there is no sand for sun bathing, kids playing ect. The restaurant was quite good and food can be eaten outside by the sea where there is a small play area for young children. Construction work on the land beside the hotel is currently in progress and is quite noisy but could not be heard from our room. The road when walking from the hotel to the main road ( 10 minute walk )was a little dirty because of this. Plenty of restaurants, 7eleven, tour booking, motorbike rentals ect ect on the main road. In my opinion having just stayed there I would say that the timing just wasn't good for us at all due to high tides (all day) and the construction work. Buffet breakfast was better than other reviews suggested which included ham,eggs,sausages, salad, bread that can be toasted if preferred, jam and marmalade Also quite a few choices of Thai foods.

Beachfront hotel with fantastic sunsets”
This is a very beautiful property beachfront with very nice and large rooms in the new building. There are even elephants on the beach that make great photos. I chose the newer tower section, there are villas but I am not really a wooden villa person. overall a great stay, a bit of a hike to the main road maybe 5-10 minutes but still not a deal breaker.

This hotel has an awesome pool on the third floor with an awesome view. The beach is clean, clear and awesome for swimming. The standard rooms are not nice. Breakfast is terrible. The staff is not friendly and any requests require extra charges including internet. There are beautiful waterfalls and an elephant reserve across the street. Baby elephants are brought to bathe in the water at the beach in the morning and my children played with them and we generally had a great time after we got over the poor quality room, staff attitude and bad breakfast.

Nice location but rooms not up to standard!”
Lovely and perfect 5 star view but the room is very disappointing! Our room was half way up a mountain and murder to carry cases up and down but the view was worth it! Would eastimate the room at 1.5 stars but the view was 5 star. Buffet breakfast was good but better to breakfast earlier. If you wait til later, some basins are empty and some foods are cold. Inexpensive restaurant by the beach and many shops and restaurants 5 mins walk away. I have room photos, if anyone wants so just contact me.

Beach enjoyment”
The room was on the fourth floor, no lift. It faced the bay and the views were spectacular. However it was very dated, had only two electric sockets in the room, and none in/or close to the bathroom. There was a large water stain in the ceiling, and a couple of broken tiles. Tgere was a kettle and two little plastic cups that looked ridiculous; but the view was amazing; and then there was the infinity pool on the roof. BEAUTIFUL, and the sunset views from this pool were as good as those on any paradise postcards.
