Excellent”
The rooms are basic but perfectly fine with own bathroom. Several sitting areas in- and outside, where you can get to know the other guests and staff. Coffee, water, tea included. Breakfast traditional (vegetables, potatoes, tempeh etc) and really yummy. Everybody was helpful and nice to us. We were provided with a ride to the train station as we left. We came to Banyuwangi not only to see the Ijen (wich we didn't end up visiting) but to look around in the city. The owner has some great recommendations what to to in Banyuwangi. E.a. traditional dances in the park and big food markets.

Best place to stay in Banyuwangi”
I would highly recommend this homestay for any tourist visiting Ijen crater. The facilities are basic but the hospitality you received from the staff is definitely 5 star. The host, Ariff, treat you as a friend during your stay there and is there to help you with any needs. Really grateful to have booked Mango tree Homestay as our accommodation and it made my trip a memorable one

Great if you are doing Mt. Ijen tour”
Really good value hostel including breakfast. Staff were really nice and breakfast was good too. I did the Mt. Ijen tour arranged by the hostel (the price was pretty good too) and it was excellent-great guide, all new gear, free drinks/snacks etc. The only downside is probably the bathroom but other than that, it's a really good hostel.

Stay here if u're going to Ijen! ”
Facilities are clean. Owner picked us up from the train station for free! We booked a tour with him for 275k/pax (weekday rate) and includes 2 way transport, a guide up Ijen, a trip to the waterfalls (which we skipped as we were the only 2 people in the car) and coffee plantation (must go for the environment! The main restaurant is completed with beautiful mahagony and bamboo while the building of the mini bungalows are still ongoing. Everything that u see is from the plantation itself and they even have a swimming pool filled with spring water!

Very friendly Host, helpfull and nice. Showed me around, gave me tips and called one if his Friend which made my stay juste fantastic. I would definitly recommend this homestay to all people i'll meet in the futur :). Thank you Arif and Ino for all you are the best !

Nice Homestay if you wanna climb Ijen”
The owner is amazing! He does everything to help you and they also offer nice and cheap tours to Ijen. I did the tour and it was really nice, I also booked the shuttle to Bali with them which is fairly cheap and it saves you all the hassle with the ferry and bus on Bali.

Personnel super ! Chambre classique”
La chambre est petite, pas de place pour poser ces affaires. Climatisation bruyante car le conduit d’évacuation donne directement dans la salle de bain dans laquelle il fait donc très chaud ! Eau froide. Nous avons eu la cuisine à disposition, il y a un réfrigérateur commun et possibilité de remplir ses bouteilles d’eau. Le propriétaire a été extraordinaire avec nous : a notre arrivée il nous a conduit gratuitement dans un restaurant en voiture et dans notre budget (il était tard et période de ramadan), on a eu une the d’accueil, proposition de nous conduire et nous fournir un guide pour le Kawah ijen à 250 000 IDR par personne tout compris avec en prime un passage par des waterfalls au retour (autant dire qu’on a accepté directement, et notre guide était merveilleux), il s’est occupé de notre lessive pour un prix défiant toute concurrence. L’espace extérieur est très agréable ! Espace salon à disposition à l’intérieur. Très réactif quand insectes, est parti acheter de la bombe anti fourmis directement à notre arrivée pour pas qu’on soit embêtés par ces bestioles. Encore merci !! La sympathie du personnel efface le côté un peu simple de la chambre. Le propriétaire a été d’excellent conseils pour la suite de notre voyage et très présent pour nous aider. Il n’essaye pas de se faire de l’argent de notre dos et c’est très appréciable.

Angehmer Aufenthalt”
Sehr freundlicher Wirt und ebenso sein Gehilfe. Einfache aber saubere Anlage mit gutem indonesischen Frühstück. Gut geeignet für Ijen-Tour. Leider von 6.00 bis 23.00 relativ starker Motorradverker auf der Straße.

Pengalaman tak terduga”
Pertama kali kami menginap di guest house di manapun juga. Menginap 1 malam untuk transit, sengaja memilih karena review dan harga. Sampai tengah malam, disambut dengan keramahan yang luar biasa oleh tuan rumah. Kami keluarga dengan 2 lansia 2 dewasa dan 2 anak. Staff sangat ramah melayani layaknya kami menginap di resort bintang lima. Tempat tidur yang bersih dengan AC dan kamar mandi yang bersih di dalam kamar sudah melampaui ekspektasi kami dari sebuah guest house. Terima Kasih !!
