The best way to see Halong Bay”
We researched long and hard to pick who to book with for our Halong Bay Cruise and I'm happy to say it most definitely paid off. The Marguerite Junk was everything we hoped for and more. We had a wonderful guide, Hop, who took such fantastic care of us, as did the all the other staff on the boat. He was knowledgeable, friendly and just so helpful - we honestly couldn't have asked for better treatment from him. The boat was great and our room was beautiful, and very clean. There was hot water with good water pressure, air-conditioning and a fridge in the room, and the bed was super comfortable. The food was great ( a lot of seafood but when in Rome...) and everything seemed so thought out and well planned. We had a great mix of cruising, sightseeing and kayaking through the absolutely spectactular scenery. Honestly, if you're thinking about doing a Halong Bay Cruise, I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. They did everything they said they would and this cruise exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful boat made for a great trip”
Had a great night stay on the Marguerite wish it was two. The staff was great. The room was bigger than expected and had a nice hot shower. The activities they provided were great, especially the kayaking in the lagoon. The weakest point of the trip is the cave tour which is just being in a long slow line for a couple of hours. Food was solid as well and the scenery is unbeatable.

great way to see the bay”
we were on marguerite 2 (there are three of them.) older vessel, pics on website are obviously old. room small but satisfactory. air con took some fiddling to get to work, and it was cold out and we needed heat. heard other passengers needed to jimmy the remote to turn on heat as well. bathroom nice. the food was plentiful, lots of seafood. i thought some was excellent, some so-so. booze not too expensive, two dollars a beer. wine kind of pricey...dollars for a chilean red, but what the heck, it's a cruise! views were amazing. we did a lot of kayakking. a lot more than i expected. it was great...amazing actually. we spent about dollars for a two night, three day cruise. i thought that was the perfect amount of time, since the bus ride is four hours each way from hanoi. really, a cruise is about the only way to see halong bay. you can certainly spend more for a halong cruise, but at this price level i thought the cruise was a good deal.

Most memorable experience, excellent tour guide!”
The boat was nice and clean, the pics we saw before hand were fairly accurate. The food was excellent, abundant, and they were very good with offering substitutes for people with special diets such as fried eggs to replace ham at breakfast. I think the marguerite junk was excellent overall, we had a great time, thank you Hop for doing a great job :)

Good experience and service on Halong bay”
It was a very cold and overcast time to visit Halong bay when we went but the staff on Marguerite Junk made the best of it and the food on the boat was suprisingly good. The general manager kept asking if we had enough to eat and broght more food if we wanted it. Rooms are small but perfect for a 1-2 night stay. Would recommend in the future.

The tour guide makes all the difference”
It was a relatively nice experience, and affordable. Boarded Marguerite Junk 1, which is the biggest among the 3 junks. Had a good tour guide (Mr. Thang) - I rarely mentioned tour guide's name in my reviews, but somehow had to mention his, because I felt he did an excellent job. Food on-board was good with a few pleasant surprises here and there. Would be better if they can just throw in complimentary bottled water for all meals too, its extra charge, just in case you were thinking. A few activities as mentioned in the itenerary were also not carried out, such as swimming in the bay, board games and cards as well as exploring life of locals on the floating fishing village. Nice and memorable experience but could be better with one or two more activities, especially those that have been mentioned in the itinerary.

Superb ! Value for money”
Travel with my two little nephew for 2day 1night , we all have a very enjoyable , relaxing and excellent memory with halong marguerite cruises! Very impressive friendly staff , attentive , good food , great facilities , clean room! Deeply appreciate to cruises manager and our lovely guide Mr Rocky , you are the best !! Especially Mr Rocky thank so much for your brilliant and amazing care and service to make our trip so wonderful :) Definately will highly recommend to every one who want to visiting Halong Bay .

Lovely Hotel with a personal touch”
We are celebrating our honeymoon. the guide sent to pick us up is very friendy. Food on the boat is ok. personal touch: we mention dat we are celebrating our honeymoon. Our room was specially decorated. which was to our surprise. We had a complementary red wine from the manager and the lady got a bouquet of flowers to her delight. on the journey, everyone got to attend some springroll making session.. which brought every guests on the boat closer and friendier... very excellent experience.. Nice Cruise with nice full roof deck for best Veiw”
The cruise is very nice and the Halong Bay as well. We enjoyed 2 days 1 night trip at Halong Marguerite Cruise. The ship we boarded was Marguerite Garden. Very nice ship and crews. Nice arrangement of touring many locations in Halong Bay and well caring.

Excellent”
We stayed on the marguerite for 1 night, thoroughly enjoyed it despite the weather being very poor. The staff were great, food excellent, enjoyed the cookery classes, the bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommend the marguerite

Great staff and excellent food”
Had a very nice stay on Marguerite cruise. The pickup was good and our host was very nice and informative. The rooms could have been a little cleaner and I'm sad they didn't open the sails, but none of the boats do. The food was excellent, they even went out of their way to make vegetarian options for me. The staff were fantastic and fun.

Lovely Boat and lovely crew”
our trip with Marguerite Cruises was perfect for one night, even would we have stayed one more night if we could have. the room was very clean, even provided with hot water which we didn't expect and the food very delicious. as we were on a small boat (only 20 passenger) it was like big family.

Beautiful, Beautiful and Beautiful”
Highly recommened. The tour guide was very friendly. Everyone on the tour crew spoke english which makes it easier for engish speaking individuals. The tour bus to the tour boat on the Marguerite was splendid. It was out Honey moon and the tour gave us a complimentary wine. Which was very sweet of them. Would have loved to stayed longer.

Delightfully relaxing with beautiful scenery”
We were very glad we booked the 2 day 3 night Junk cruise. Heading further into Halong Bay which was less crowded and allowed us the chance to venture in to and through the caves. The Junk was well equipped, and the staff and food were excellent. From the captain to the row boat boy, we were always greeted with a friendly smile and excellent service. Would highly recommend.

Great staff,unfortunate circumstances”
It was an expected long drive to Halong Bay and we were given an informative commentary upon the way.After getting out to the boat we had a Vietnamese lunch with a lot of seafood and went out to the caves in a small boat where we did a hill climb that was worth the effort ,again with excellent commentary.We rested and had dinner,again Vietnamese .During the night I became ill with severe gastric pain and symptoms and spent the entire day in bed ,being unable to even get up.The staff watched over me while partner reluctantly participated in day's activities which he said we very similiar to things undertaken by us in Thailand on another trip. I was made special teas,offered special meals,over the counter medications etc but was too ill to do anything.Still unwell I went to fish farm,ate dry toast and rice and endured the long trip back to Hanoi.Later that day,four staff members met me at hotel in Hanoi to see how I was and if I needed any further assistance or medical attention.It was greatly appreciated. With medical attention sought once in Sapa (as my health did not improve)blood tests showed that I had a severe virus from eating seafood.I spent 2 days having IV drips and am still recovering one week later.

Good service, comfortable boat”
although we weren't told we were being moved to the galaxy until we were nearly there, this actually was no problem- this review is for galaxy (same company) rooms were clean and spacious, i had really nice hot shower, but some did not. food was good and plentiful, loved that we got to help out make spring rolls on last day guide was great fun, kayaking excellent, and bar fully stocked- karaoke went very well! sun deck was huge and sunbeds new and comfortable- only missed the old red junk sails being let out.

Fantastic trip, couldn't ask for more”
This trip was well worth it - all very smoothly run, from the pickup in Hanoi, to transfer to the boat, day excursions and drop off back in Hanoi. The room was beautiful. I paid the extra few dollars for a deluxe room and it was well worth it, with stunning views of the bay. We stayed on Marguerite Garden which was quite modern - the room itself was very comfortable and nicely appointed. The excursions during the day were a great experience and the food is also really good - and amply sized! Would definitely recommend this trip and this company to anyone looking to see Halong Bay. If you can squeeze to the 2 nights, it is well worth it

Halong Bay a must do cruise when in Hanoi”
WWe chose Marguerite Cruises as our preferred provider for our Halong Bay visit because of past travelleres reviews and considered it an all round good value package .....we were not disappointed ....we had a well informed guide and transfers went smoothly....cabins on board were charming,clean and comfortable. The food was fine but choice of wine was limited ! We saw all we wanted in the Bay despite inperfect weather. The one disappointment were the transfer stopovers where the tourist shops were a ripp-off compared to Hanoi town

Amazing scenery in Halong Bay”
Halong Bay was really stunning. Overall, we are satisfied with the stay in Halong Marguerite Cruise. Food was okay. The room and bathroom was clean. No complaint as the scenery there was just too great.

Relaxing way to see Ha Long Bay”
A very enjoyable stay but the price of alcohol aboard the junk was ridiculous. They may find that people would buy more if the price was not marked up by at least 300%
