Great staff ”
My family (boy aged 5 and girl aged 5 months) stayed at Mekong Rustic for four nights having backpacked around the Mekong for two weeks already. The grounds are beautiful, little streams and fish ponds and adjacent to a wonderful orchard. The real thing that sets it apart though is the staff. We had a floating market tour with Becky which was really informative. They all speak fantastic English. When in Can Tho I lost my mobile phone which also contained my bank cards and driving license etc. The staff at Rustic Mekong helped calm the taxi company in case I left it there but to no avail. A week later it was found in a city (Vinh along) I’ve never been to, Becky took a Grab bike to collect for me and posted it to my new hotel half way across the country. What amazing service. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Excellent getaway - Even for us from India!”
*Stayed for one night. We came to Can Tho via a shared limo from HCMC. Can Tho bus station to Mekong Rustic was about 20 minutes* About the place: The place is excellently designed. Tiny canals with muddy water (like its supposed to be in delta region) is flowing across the entire estate. Almost every room/villa has a canal around it. There is a big farm with lots of vegetables and fruits growing in the backyard. The place truly lives up to its rustic title. Overall wonderful. About the rooms: The rooms are all made of Bamboo. The bathroom/WC doesnt have a roof, it feels so damn good :D . (Dont worry, the rooms are designed in a way that no one can see anyone else - might hear you though). The rooms are well kept, washroom could have been a little cleaner. There is AC, TV and a fancy mosquito net. We didnt come across any mosquitos though. Overall nice. About the food: There should have been more options in the menu, but food was decent. Staff is so helpful and friendly! Do visit!

Fascinating”
It was a very nice stay, which we could enjoy very much thanks to the very friendly and helpful staff. It almost feels like being in the middle of a jungle. The whole complex is fascinating and beautiful, the rooms very rustic and uniquely furnished, simply a great experience. Our room was clean and very big. We can warmly recommend the Rustic Mekong.

My parents, boyfriend and I had the pleasure to stay at the Mekong Rustic for 4 nights. From the very beginning of our stay to the end, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The attentiveness of the staff, organizing group excursions, making local recommendations, availability of complimentary bikes, a pool table, and great food. The site is a gem in the Mekong, with a family feel and invitation to walk the garden where all the fruits and veggies for meals are gathered. Thank you for making our last days in Vietnam so special !

Friendliest staff, beautiful location”
A rare find. This homestay is different but in a good way. The gardens and surrounds are gorgeous. It is really peaceful. The food is great and very affordable. The absolute best thing about this place is the staff. They are so helpful and accommodating. Becky served us at meals and took us on a Mekong Floating market tour. She is very knowledgeable and proud of her community and its history. I cannot speak highly enough of every single person at Mekong Rustic. A great place to stay and have a break from the crowded city.

Cute, relaxed, hospitable place”
We stayed two nights at the resort, in a family suite. The room was spacious, the furnishings were very rustic and sweet. The best thing, aside from the air conditioning, was that the shower and bathtub were located outside in a little private courtyard, shaded by flowering trees and palms. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They booked bus tickets for us and arranged our tickets to get the ferry to Phu Quoc. We did three tours through the resort - the cycle tour, a fishing trip / night markets and the floating markets. The best by far was the floating markets - cannot recommend this highly enough. Seeing the night markets was fun (but the tour as a whole was okay, not amazing for the price) and the afternoon cycling was a relaxed, fun way to see the “back streets” of the outskirts of the city. The only real negatives was the food served at the resort wasn’t very good - quite tasteless by Vietnamese standards - and when we arrived there was a party with loud karaoke blaring.

We loved our time at the Mekong Rustic ! The bungalow & the aria are very cool & beautiful designed. The team is very helpful. The reserve us tickets for an bus to Rach Gia. We get Lunch Boxes for our early Departure! It was very great. Shower in der Garden - very nice ! We loved it! Thank you for everything ♥️

Truly rustic lifestyle ”
We booked this home stay with reference to some review and photos on website. The reality was far beyond our expectation: nice and peaceful venue, all facilities are taken well care to every single detail in order to create an excellent experience, all staff and people are extremely friendly and helpful, delicious food (local recipe). We did not feel like staying in a resort, we feel like staying with family and friends. In general, we had fantastic time there and we will come back soon!

Great hotel but out of the way”
This place is a great paradise in rural Can Tho. The town is a 10 dollar taxi ride away. The town is fun for a day, too. The restaurant could use improvement as there is one breakfast on offer. Also, you have to order food 30 minutes before and it's pretty mediocre for food in Vietnam (which is great). There aren't many other options (esp for vegetarians( With that said, the ambience, staff and rooms of this place are great! We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone.

Location good for the boat trips on the Mekong. Place a bit odd with all the brown water and the smell. The pool was nice. Staff very friendly but could use some customer service training. Food was pretty bad and had to order early and then the food came cold. No option for other food nearby. Not sure we could recommend.

This has been my favorite stay in Vietnam! Gorgeous property, pool, nice rooms, helpful staff, free bike rentals, good food at the restaurant, near water. There isn’t much for food options nearby but that wasn’t a problem for me. It is out of the city which I loved, very peaceful, but only a $6 taxi in to the city. The only bad thing was the water in the shower did not get hot- which is ok unless you are waking up before sunrise to do the floating market tour and need to shower because it was very cold! Overall 100% recommend. Simon, Remy and all the staff were great

The staff were fantastic, the three young ladies that seemed to run it were so friendly and helpful. The room was cool and the outdoor bathroom was great. Only issue was the food and drinks, they were expensive

Exceptional”

Enjoyed our stay”
The room was spacious and the outside showers were very relaxing. The staff were very nice and helpful. Regrettably we only stayed a single night. We would have enjoyed relaxing in the common space longer and to do more tours of the area. The food seemed quite westernised though. Seemed to be made for guests who can't handle strong flavours and chili.
