Dear Guest, Thankyou for taking the time to review our hotel and I'm delighted you enjoyed your time with us and thankyou for your kind words regarding our friendly staff, our location and rooms, also I'm glad you like our scottish breakfast, a must when visiting Scotland!. Kind Regards Erica Coventry Front Office Manager
Great Location”
Excellent location. Great friendly staff. Clean rooms. Bathrooms could use a bit of facelift but they're still fine. One other thing they can possibly do is some sound proof windows.. you can hear the random screaming drunks on the weekend. But for me definitely not a deal breaker. I'd most definitely stay here again if in glasgow.

Dear Paul, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review of your stay with us. Glad you liked the location as we literally have everything you need right outside the hotel literally. Thank you for your kind comment about the staff being friendly as they always get great reviews on their outstanding customer service. Our housekeeping team pride themselves on their cleanliness and thank you for noticing. With the hotel being in the heart of the city center, the weekends can become a little more louder and apologies for this and your comments are taken onboard. Hope you will come visit us again someday in the not so distant future. Kind regards, Nick (Guest Service Supervisor)
Good location”
The location is spot on. The room we got was basic, small and a little noisy. However, the bed was huge and comfortable and adequate for one night. The breakfast was really nice. Lots of choice including, honey, nuts and freshly cut fruit which is always a plus. I didn't take any cooked breakfast items but these seem to be available. The tea/coffee area could do with being rethought as it can become clogged up just by one person preparing tea. If there was an extended area, then others could help themselves rather than waiting for the one person to finish preparing their tea. Also, I thought it was a bit cheeky to ask for £20 for early check in! Never had that before! In other words, your room could be available earlier, but only if you pay up? As far as value for money is concerned, all things considered, it was a bit overpriced even though we booked months in advance and would have been much more expensive had we booked nearer the time.

Dear Susana, We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay at the Mercure Glasgow City Hotel. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. I will share your comments with our team. I am sure that this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services. Lovely to hear that you found our large beds to be comfy and by the sounds of it you slept well? Thank you for joining us for breakfast and great to hear that you found our wide choice of selections to be to your choice. Thank you for pointing out about the coffee machine and I will pass this on for review. In regards to having to pay for an early check-in, however this is our policy and also a business that we have to run. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope your next visit will be as pleasant as the previous one. Sincerely, Nick (Guest Service Manager) The Mercure Glasgow City Hotel
Bit tired”
The room was a bit small but was clean. However, some of the fit and finish (especially in the bathroom) was pretty poor (looked like the sealant and grout was applied by a blindfolded child). Great location and some small upgrades would make it excellent

Dear Kevin, Thankyou for taking the time to review our hotel, I'm glad you found the room clean however due to the hotel being a listed building we are unable to change the size of the rooms. However, we are currently refurbing all our bathrooms. Kind Regards Erica Coventry Front Office Manager
Very good”
Stayed here a night for Coldplay’s concert. Location was great though was noisy throughout the day. There was no a/c. Was charged extra £20 for checking in at 12pm.

Exceptional”
The hotel location is very central & is easily accessible to most places by walking. The West End is only a short train ride away. The hotel staff are also very helpful & we enjoyed our 4 days stay there. We love Glasgow & will definitely return.

Small but beautiful”
The room is quite small but well equipped with everything you need. The location is the best in Glasgow, within walking distance to many tourist attractions and other interesting places in the city center. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would pick this hotel again next time.

great hotel location and lovely staff”
my partner and i enjoyed our nights stay at the mercure hotel the location was ideal for the night out we where having the room was basic and equipt with everything we needed, the lift was a bit loud could hear it during the night in our room ,so i'd maybe reccomend to get that fixed. but in all honesty a lovely welcoming stay. and the young blonde female receptionist was brilliant and well spoken gave a good impression of the hotel.

Great central location and helpful friendly staff”
Great central location within easy walking distance of everything you could want, ie: restaurants and bars, shopping areas, transport services, etc. Neat and tidy rooms although a little on the small side, but you only use the rooms for sleeping in. The rest of the time you are out exploring this cultural city and regional areas surrounding. Very friendly staff always willing to help. Excellent place to stay no matter if its for a couple of weeks or just overnight.

Good location but small room”
The hotel location is good but the room size is quite small - although compared with other hotels nearby not much difference. Breakfast was good but the room amenities cleanliness could be further enhanced. Because of the normal weather in Glasgow, cloudy and/or rainy, it is a good idea that the hotel could provide umbrella lending services for customers forgetting to bring their own umbrellas. 'Cos the five of us can only got 1 umbrella from the hotel for lending and that's all the hotel had! A bit funny!!

Great location but small & noicy rooms”
The hotel is located right in the centre of Glasgow and in perfect location for sightseeing and shopping. Ingram Street is a busy road and we had a room facing the road, which meant constant loud noice. Ask for a room in the back of the hotel or at least not facing Ingram Street.

Great location at a great price”
Can't really think of any negative about our stay, location was central, rooms clean, staff friendly and helpful, and all at a very competitive price. Don't be put off by the exterior as this is a very well run hotel. One minor point: the windows could do with a clean.
