Fantastic stay in the center of Hue”
I've stayed for 4 night at the Mintea hostel and it was perfect. First we arrived early and we checked in at 9 am im the morning. The rooms are spacious (dorm) and the beds are very good. The staff is really friendy and can help you with booking a tour. They also arranged a motorbike for me! If I'm in Hue again this would be my first choice!

Mintea is the perfect hostel. The wifi works very good, the staff is amazing and very helpful, the dorms are clean, charming and with bathroom inside. The breakfast is amazing too, with a lot of nice options.

Great location and clean hostel”
Location was great, right in the middle of all the restaurants and little shops. The hostel was kept very clean, the showers were nice and the washrooms also. The only negative point I would like to mention is the washroom is right in the room. It’s convenient but also very uncomfortable as there is no door to shut down noises from the washroom to the room. I personally felt uncomfortable using the washroom when other people were in the room. The bed was comfortable, the tours offered at the hostel were very reasonably priced, not expensive at all. The staff was helpful. I would recommend.

Extremely great place for the money!”
The staff was extremely nice and spoke decent English. The location was awesome, just a block off the main strip and in the middle of the walking street area, yet still very quiet in the upstairs walk-up room (despite being across the street from the after-hours disco). Tours and transportation can be arranged at the hostel. The hostel does overnight laundry, but the travel/tour/motorbike rental place across the street does it in about 4 hours (costs more though). The mattress in the large dormitory (14 or 16 people) was a four-inch-thick foam pad, which was the most comfortable bed in which I have slept in two months and three countries. The linens were clean and the air conditioning worked great and was allowed to run 24 hours. The water was hot, the toilets had paper, the bunk beds were very sturdy, and the breakfast was sufficient. Extremely great place for the money.

Staffs are very helpful and nice! The location is in the central of Hue, very close to river side, you can easily find the restaurants and travel agencies or convenience stores near the hostel. Yet, the bed sheet is not clear enough and a bit smelly(due to the humidity I guess).

Good Hostel”
The Hostel was nice and clean, comfy beds, good showers and a good breakfast. It‘s in a good location, a lot of restaurants and bars nearby, however it can get a bit loud at night because of the bars around. The Hostel is not a very good place to meet other people as they don‘t really have a hangout area or anything and not a lot of people were staying there when I was there. But overall good place to stay

Nice staff, clean rooms! I slept in the 14-bed doritory and the only downside was that the beds are open. A curtain or something would've been nice, but other than that a good and cheap hostel!

Cheap room, decent location, not my favorite”
Although breakfast was only 20k dongs, it was not included with the room. Drinks are also very well priced. My disappointment was coffee was not offered. I noticed other hostels nearby were offering breakfast for the same rate. Secondly, I did not see any staff do any maintenance of the room. To be fair only 2 people occupied the 14 bed dorm. However, it would have been nice to have toilet paper inside room. I noticed the other person was offered a towel, I was not. The rooms do not have privacy curtains and bathroom is inside dorm room, along with 2 showers. The location was nice, and staff speak English. One of the gals pointed me to a great coffee shop with the best viatnemese iced coffee. It was not a terrible experience, and I stayed for two nights but I would not go back.

It's located relatively in the center, I think that you can see it variously on foot. I think that it is better even if you borrowed a motorbike increases the range of movement. The response of the staff was wonderful, and they taught me various famous sightseeing spots and nice restaurants. The room was comfortable, the restrooms and the shower room in the dormitory were installed and it was comfortable.

Zimmer bequem, aber schlechter Service”
Ich bin mit dem Nachtbus kurz nach 8 Uhr in Hue angekommen. Eigentlich hatte ich nicht erwartet direkt ins Zimmer zu können, ich sollte 30 min warten, was dann knapp 2h wurden. Zwischenzeitlich war ich außerhalb Kaffee trinken, denn 'aufs Haus' wurde trotz Frühstückszeit keiner angeboten. Personal spricht nur wenig Englisch und jede Frage wird missverstanden: Infos zu den Cave-Touren (im Eingang hängen 6 Plakate) - was ist das?, zudem ziemlich überteuert, Wo ich etwas Drucken und Scannen könnte? (weil nicht verstanden, habe ich nach einem Internetcafe gefragt) - ob ich Kaffee trinken möchte.... Vllt empfand ich es auch nur als anstrengend, weil ich von Magen-Darm geplagt war und meine Ruhe haben wollte. Mir wurde dann trotz der Umstände, das oberste Zimmer in der dritten Etage angedreht, welches am späten Abend von einer Horde lauter Vietnamesen besiedelt wurde. Straßenlärm ist auch zu hören. Frühstück war okay, Toast/Baguette, Spiegelei/Omelette oder Nudeln. Allerdings bin ich auch hier nicht gefragt worden (saß 15 min im Eingang), Eigeninitiative!, Gäste nach mir wurden eher bedient. Als ich dann noch 1 Nacht verlängern wollte, hieß es verkompliziert, dass heute voll gebucht ist - keine Vorwarnung/Ansprache am Vortag oder Morgen, um den Tag dementsprechend planen zu können. Wahrscheinlich wäre ich sonst am Abend böse überrascht worden. Insgesamt habe ich mich nur unverstanden und eher leicht unwohl gefühlt.
