Outstanding Hotel”
I almost didn’t choose this hotel because there were a few bad reviews. I can’t imagine what problem someone had to cause them to write anything negative about the Movenpick. As a Marriott titanium member I stay at Marriotts, but the one in Hanoi was distant from the old quarter and the French quarter so I stayed at the Movenpick. The old city is about a 10 walk away. Service was fantastic. The room was impeccably clean and has everything that I needed. Water pressure in the shower was great. The only minor problem I encountered was communication. Some staff spoke little English so a couple of times someone was called over to answer my questions. I have no reservations about staying in the Movenpick if I visit Hanoi again.

Impeccable service!”
I stayed at the King Suite for three nights on a business trip for work. The service is impeccable. Cleanliness is top notch and there were 0 issues on my trip there. Requests for taxi's were super easy. They were always at the outside hotel lobby. Just a few but not crowded with them which is nice. Porters and customer service is extremely courteous and polite. Breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious with various tastes to cater to a wide crowd. Of course, in Vietnam, the fruits are a must since they are always fresh, ripe and organic. I have never come across better fruits even coming from a next door neighboring tropical country where fruits are abundant. Their croissants are fantastic too! Overall I would highly recommend this place for a return visit stay.

I can't remember how many times I've stayed already but I will still come back next time ”
Cozy comfortable room, soft but firm bed, good shower. The room is just perfect for me but I can see why some bigger sized people might find the bathroom a bit cramped for them. I just love the chocolate fondue with fruits and cakes in the lobby lounge. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Nice room and new equipment. Good service. For example, during Covid time, i had free Chocolate buffet in the afternoon for relaxing. Free fruits served at room. Provided face masks, hand-wash gel, etc. Very nice.

A Great Stay!”
Check in and out was seamless. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The design of the room was attractive with a large desk to work at and a wing back chair. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the old district of the city. The foreign exchange rate at the hotel was better than at the airport & close to the rates found on the Internet. I would stay again if I have the opportunity to visit Hanoi in the future.

Good location”
Love the hotel colonial design, the hotel itself located in fantastic location, closed to high street and nice lake. Attentive staff especially reception, reservation and concierge, they were excellent. Delicious foods. However Hanoi traffic were crazy, the drivers hooting at each others, if you don't mind with the noices of the car or motorbikes horn and the hectic of traffic and the way of they driving (whereby we almost got killed when we rides tuktuk when we visit the market area).. then you'll be fine, but not for us. Love the hotel (don't get me wrong) but I don't think I want to go back to Hanoi again. Enough experiences with that shocking experience.

Dear Rene, Our sincere appreciation for taking time review not only our hotel service and facilities but also Hanoi. We are sorry that you had a shocking experience with Hanoi traffic and noise. We understand it might be a total different experience here from your hometown, but I would like to share that not all driver are always hooting at each others. Regardless, we wish you all the best! They wasn't able to endorse my request to stay in a single bed (I'm a solo traveller) and gave me a room with almost no view. But I can understand since it's a high season (Christmas) so the hotel must be busy. Other than that, the whole experience is very pleasant. Beautiful room with nice linens, super clean (for Vietnam standard) and all the amenities of a good old-school hotel would provide. They even have a door man who will swing the door open and close for you at the hotel entrance. Not all of the receptionist staff are friendly --but it didn't bother me much.

Clean hotel with attentive staff”
Great location. minutes walk to the expo area. However, around 15 minutes walk to old quarter - places of interest and eateries. Great for singles and couples alike. It will be advisable for tourist with younger children to stay in old quarters for convenience. Counter staff are polite and attentive, and this applies to the restaurant staff. Only 1 bad encounter 1) Taxi guaranteed by hotel seems to take advantage by going longer route(issue solved after providing feedback). ==> My advice, engage grab taxi.
