Situated in Bai Chay, if this is your preferred part of Ha Long, this hotel is a great place to base yourself for the daytime relaxation on the beach and the nightlife around the area. The staff will ensure your stay is the best. Rooms are spacious and immaculately presented and clean. Checking for a sea view is well worth it.

Our stay at the Mường Thanh Luxury Hạ Long Residence was perfect in all aspects that guests could hope for. The Residence is located within a group of 3 similar hotels which have similar names (which confused our taxi driver.) The Residence is in a newer neighborhood which is located outside of the more mature central area of the city. To get to the central area near the Quang Truong 30/10, one must take a taxi over the Bãi Cháy Bridge. This would take roughly 10-12 minutes on scooter, and likely a little less time on a taxi. We love everything about this hotel: the friendly and helpful staff, the clean and fresh facility, the shower was comfortable with both water pressure and temperature, the bed was OK, and the best experience was the breakfast with great selection and tasteful dishes. If one prefers a newer facility and don't mind the traveling into the city center, staying here will be a great experience.

Had a bit of hiccup during the initial process before I checked in, but overall it all turned out fine. Hotel is one of the nicer and newer ones in Halong Bay. Would stay at again if I was in Halong.

CON: Breakfast Buffets have the same foods to eat everyday and very limited of selections. Temperature in the rooms are presets by the hotel staffs and you cannot change the room temperature in your room. The beds are too small. The mattress is too soft. PRO: Staffs have excellent, polite and helpful attitudes. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. Huge balcony. Have connecting rooms. Privacy bathroom with no window. Free Breakfast Buffet. Daily Housekeeping. Many Restaurants across the street from the hotel.

Really enjoyed our 2 nights here. Right from the start, all the staff were super friendly and very helpful The room had an amazing view over sunworld and Halong bay and was a great place to stay location wise as 5 minutes walk to sunworld for the cable car, boat trip 5 mins by minibus, supermarket next door and lots of restaurants on the opposite side of the road Would definitely stay here again.

Noisy from the beach bar.”
We stayed there only 1 night. We did not sleep well. It was too noisy from the beach bar and it played loud music. The buffet breakfast was poor.
