Clean rooms, great location, for cheap!”
The rooms are small, but staying here one night on our trip to Kanchanaburi was perfect. It’s within 10 minutes of the Thai-Burma Railway Museum and the train station. Everything was very clean. Our room was spotless and had no bugs. It was cool during our visit so we didn’t need the fan, but it’s very powerful so I imagine if it’s hot, it helps a lot. The bathroom was very clean as well. The only downside was they don’t serve breakfast until 9:30, so we had to get food from the 7-Eleven.

Loved the little coloured rooms”
Shared bathrooms were very clean. Coffee was on offer to help yourself all day. While the rooms were very basic (mattress on floor, ceiling fan, small table) they were value for money. Make sure you go to night market for dinner as restaurant choices are limited on main street outside, it seems to be filled with late night bars.

Really awesome place, it's cheap and it has all the amenities you need! Shared toilet and common space was cleaned multiple times throughout the day! Staff were very nice and they even provide motorcycle rental for 10 dollars a day!

Love it here, would be better without the summer heat”
Room is as expected, there is privacy and not much noise from neighbors. Maybe due to no neightbours. Mar is the low season. However the heat is unbearable between 9am - 9pm. The fan in my orange room is strong but the heat wave is really intolerable. 3 clean and spacious toilets to use & shower at the same time. Rented a bike outside from guesthouse recommendation, good and sturdy at 200bht. Went to paddy field restaurant known as (Tamlunthung) fantastic sunset view, good food and drinks.

Nice stay for a few days in Kanchanaburi”
Nice and clean place, kitchen available. Just a little thing to know the mattress is bit hard and made of skaïe (so makes you sweat). People are nice and helpful, I recommend.

Fair value guesthouse in good location”
The huts were cosy and they and the communal bathrooms were very clean. Not much English spoken, but it was OK. The main problem is that staff and locals are also housed in the huts and use their cars and motorbikes all night long. The car/bike park is directly in front of the huts. Too noisy to sleep.

Great value and friendly staff!”
We chose the A/C private bungalow with a shared bathroom. The place was very clean, we received towels and soap, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were able to rent motorbikes and drive to the nearby Erawan National Park with ease. I noticed some other reviews complained about noise and safety concerns, however this was not our experience. In some instances while walking outside you can hear karaoke, but this was never loud enough to wake us. I also was never worried about my safety as the owners and staff were alert and available at all times. Overall, I highly recommend My Home for anyone looking to visit Kanchanaburi and Erawan. The A/C rooms are inexpensive and absolutely worth the money!

Good Stay”
Loved the double room! Great price for such a large space, clean bathroom, cool A/C. Nice little table in the room for having (free!!) coffee, but even better to sip it in the garden. Hostel is located on the popular bar street but set back a bit down an alley. We stayed during the insanity that is Songkran but still found it quiet enough in this location to catch plenty of shut eye. Also only a short 10 min walk from Kanchanaburi train station. My Home is a great choice if you’re in the area.

Our stay at My home was pleasant if not short. There was a couple of things that were not so good. THere was a smell in our room and think it came from the water plant next door? and the TV did not work. Other than that the surroundings are nice. We liked the location although not on the river it is close to the main strip. The room was a nice size and pretty clean. There were a few of these small ants around but the seemed to be at all the hotels this time. Staff were helpful and friendly enough. I would stay here again if going back to Kanchanaburi

Close to main backpacker area, good value for mone”
We booked a double fan room. It was like a little beach hut and there was only room for a bed and table inside. But it was fine and just what we needed as we weren't at the hostel an awful lot. It's close to all the backpacker bars and restaurants and only a 15-20 min walk from the River Kwai Bridge. Good cheap stay and would stay again.

Good location, big clean room but noisy...”
I staid one night and had the Fan room. The room was big, good bed, table and chairs to put your things, private bathroom (be aware of the shower above the toilets!). Bottles of water free and possibility to make your own coffee next to the reception freely as well. BUT my room gave on the opoosite side from the reception. The sliding door was not closing completely (still 1cm staid opened). And there is a machine next to that is doing lots of noise during the night! There is a guy, staying at the guesthouse and organizing trips, transports, etc. for you. Was actually very usefull because then i could do both Erawan parc and the death railway in one day before leaving for bangkok (be aware that the death railway will cost 200bath and that most of the journey is in the lanscape, only 10min.next to the river! I was disappointed). Really good location at 7min.by feet from the train station. A place in the garden nicely arranged.

plain & simple”
Was in Kanchanaburi for Rememberance day and booked two friends into My Home Guesthouse due to lack of availability locally. I have stayed here myself and they shared my opinion that it was a good choice, standard rooms are basic but modern with a choice of air con or fan which is cheaper. On average they paid which is excellent value. There is even a cheaper option which are like very small huts that are just about big enough for one person smaller than a prison cell with shared shower facilities which is ideal if you are on a really tight budget.

Basic, clean rooms and centrally located”
My Home Guesthouse was a pleasant stay. Rooms were clean, as well as the shared bathrooms. Good location and very central to eating options, bars and sights. Be aware though, it is very close to a lot of bars, that play loud music to early hours of the morning. It is only a 10 minute walk to a local night market that has many cheap street food options and other clothes stalls. Free coffee and tea provided and internet is good. Staff are very helpful and make sure to say hi to the cat!

20min walk from bus station and kwaï river Bridge, these nice bungalow are little, but confortable with air. All the place is clean and staff is very nice. You have access to kitchen and free hot water, coffee and tea. Just one negative point is the noise from the bar close to the guesthouse. I stayed on the week-end so maybe it's less noisy during the week

I had great time at My Home. Staff were very knowledgable and friendly. It does get noisy at night from the bars nearby, so make sure you have ear plugs with you.

Helpful staff who helped to call teksi and keep luggage after check out. Walking distance to Kanchanaburi Train Station and night market. Cheap room for two person, it's a great deal if planning to put one or two night.

Simple but friendly and clean”
We had a great stay, the acommodation is in small huts (depending on your booking) which is different and therefore nice. It is a very simple guesthouse, but friendly staff and clean. Overall for 250Baht it was great. However if you look for a romantic get away maybe you would want to spent a bit more on a better room.

Good guesthouse but noisy”
Good guesthouse for the price. Only 25 minutes walk from the bridge, 10 from the train station, and 25 from the bus station. I had a standard room with fan and bathroom and it was big and clean. The only big inconvenient was the noise coming from the bars in the street and a machine (I don't know what it was?!) just next to my room. It was really noisy !! I barely slept the first night...
