Find hotels near Nan Suburbs in Nan, Thailand

My wife is from Nan, so we go there often and decided to try a new place this time. Nan Sripanna looked great, and in many ways it is. Nice quiet location, spacious well-designed rooms, helpful staff, and great views. BUT... when we came back to the hotel at 5 pm planning to shower and rest before going out to dinner, I was surprised that there was no hot water. My wife called the desk and talked to them in Thai. They told her that they didn't turn on the hot water until 6pm. That seemed very strange, but I waited until 6 and tried again. This time there was very slightly warm water for about 1 minute, then cold again. She called once more and they told her that Sripanna is a "green hotel" so the water would not be hot until 7 pm. This is absurd! We've stayed at many green hotel around the world and something like this has never happened. Also, there was no sign about the "green" nor did they tell us anything at check-in. And, it turns out that -- maybe because of being "green" -- they did not turn on the wifi until 6 pm. Too bad. It's a very nice place, but waiting until 7 pm for hot water is unacceptable and will make us look for someplace else the next time we're in Nan.

We didn't stay first in Sasidara and it also will not be our last stay. Quality is great, the hotel well maintained, the staff friendly and the location perfect if you want to mix Nan culture with a relaxing stopover on the way to Luang Prabang. Compare with other top travelers destinations (same like Chiang Khan for example), Nan and here the Sasidara Resort is a perfect place to stop after a long day trip. Why? Price / service level simple matches!

It's near by nan city center but you should have a car to come here and travel around nan. Staff are so nice and friendly, room and the resort is so good. I would go back to stay this properties for sure.

Booked a Superior Twin for three nights. Hotel seems to be ageing but is clean and well outfitted - bed was comfortable, room included a small fridge, kettle (but no coffee), wardrobe, desk, table and chair, and a balcony overlooking the large clean beautiful pool. TV with no English channels, but that's standard in rural areas like this. No room safe. Bathroom was small but adequate, with hot water. AC unit was the old central air type, a bit noisy but cool. Reception staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was acceptable - toast, fried eggs, soup, a few stir fry dishes, fruit, and bad coffee. Ate at 8:45 AM one morning and everything was cold, the warming burners were not even turned on. But ate early one morning and they made a special breakfast just for me. Location is outside of town center right on the main highway (a little street noise) with a large car park. If you do not have a car, this hotel may be too far from anything to meet your needs. No restaurants nearby.

Self-drive would not be an issue to find this resort as the location is set correctly on Google Map. The resort is located in a quiet area about 7 km out of Nan town centre. The room is spacious and comfortable. The owners are friendly and hospitable. Breakfast is included (Khao Tom, bread and coffee). This is a good place to rest for a night before heading out of town.

The room environment is nice. Peaceful and you can enjoy sitting near to lake to have nice chit chat. Breakfast is serving to my room with quite big portion and its really best service i ever had. Staff is friendly although they cant speak perfect english. Location is a problem as there is no sign board for Apirata Resort in English. They only put the resort in Thai which become difficult for foreign to look for this hotel. Anyway if you manage to get to this hotel, you will feel the satisfaction. From hotel to Airport is just less than 10mins.

We stayed at this place because we booked a tour with a tour company close by and wanted a nicer place to stay than they could offer. The resort is really nice with different houses and bungalows. We stayed in a room which was very disappointing. The bed was clean but the shower haden't been cleaned and the room seemed worn down. It was damp and the aircon let out air that smelled moldy. And on top of that there was a really loud buzzing sound all night. We think that it was from the upstairs rooms aircon. The restaurant connected to the resort is all right but overpriced. Breakfast is ok (eggs, sausage, toast etc) but you don't get to choose your breakfast even though the thais eating there get all kind of different types of breakfast. This is because the staff in the morning doesn't speak english so they simply ask breakfast? and then bring you what they think you want. There's only wifi in the restaurant and not in the rooms. I don't think this place is worth the money you pay and I wouldn't recommend it.

Lovely and new hotel with best mountain view and quiet surrounding , lovely staff, high internet wifi

The property isn't located right in the centre of action, but the clean and very spacious rooms and the exceptional hospitality of the owner all the difference. Great choice
