Nice resort and great staff!”
We enjoyed our stay at the resort. We were there on week days and it was peaceful. The room with balcony on the 4th floor was confortable and the view spectacular. The resort restaurant located on the beach had good food and great staff.

A nice quiet resort”
Great place to escape from the madness of the busier resorts. A good place to chill out and just relax. Really enjoyed a few days of doing virtually nothing and enjoying the facilities and surroundings. Good seafood is all around you here and very fresh and cheap in price.

Old hotel needs renovation”
The only good thing is the hotel close to the beach but overall the hotel was very old. The room was not clean enough, when we checked in to the room we could smell the damp and mold in there, 1 light was broken, the hot water system was not stable, not enough amenities and no hair dryer in the room. The hotel needs renovation or sell cheaper price.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at ”
Nothing was any good, the rooms are 100 years old and smelled bad, breakfast was rubbish and the place was dull and boring. I will never go back! The beach had rubbish all over it and it was way too expensive for what it was!

very nice quiet hotel”
Have been visiting this hotel in june 2016. Very quiet location at the end of chao lao beach, very spacious hotel area, big Swimmingpool. The room on the fourth floor was also very spacious, clean, with a fantastic view of the bay. Staff was very friendly. We will definitely come back!

Lovely resort for a relaxing Thai-style holiday”
We had an amazing time during our stay in the New Travel Beach Resort. It is very remote from usual touristic destinations and favored by the locals. So it would be a great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing Thai-style holiday.

this is my third visit to the new travel beach resort and it won't be my last! since my last visit the resort looks a bit smarter and they have made a real effort with the breakfast which is now excellent. best kept secret in thailand i reckon.

Ok hotel but no beach in front”
We have stayed for two days in New Travel Beach. The rooms are ok. The furniture, curtains etc looked a bit outdated but everything was clean. Set breakfast was average. Cons: There was no beach in front. If you walk 500 mtr or further there are a lot of bungalows/resorts on the beachfront. Chao Lao beach is beautiful (wide and white sand) and exellent for swimming (no rocks and shells). One time we had lunch in the restaurant but the food was poor and expensive. Some meals on the menu were not available and the restaurant-staff was not very friendly. However outside are quite some restaurants with delicious seafood. Overall an ok hotel, but a poor location. The next time I will visit Chantaburi I wil book a resort/bungalow near the beach.

million pound hotel that wont pay to clean beach”
This is a very nice hotel which is both clean and rooms are large. As we arrived late we did not visit the beach until about 10am the following morning. What a shock, for such a modern clean hotel, the beach was just covered with rubbish. (Can Agoda please note that an option to attach a photo to these reports would be very helpful, as just saying rubbish, does not nearly describe the condition of this hotels beach). For a hotel that must have cost many millions to build and upkeep, it is almost beyond belief to think that they wouldn't pay someone B500 a day to clean this small beach. The pool looked OK, but we didn't get to use it, preferring to drive a couple of Km along the beach road to where the beach was maintained daily and kept very clean. This was also the reason we did not eat at the hotels restaurant, preferring to use the many establishments that kept their surroundings clean. Breakfast at the New Travel Beach was beyond excellent, and in 12 years of travelling around Thailand I would rate this in the top 2 or 3. Buffet style with many choices, accompanied by a selection of fruits and salads, waffles/pancakes etc. In short if this hotel was 2 km further down the beach road and they looked after their beach area it would be a must return to, but as it is I will be looking elsewhere next time.

Nice room, great view, good service”
too far from chao loa beach, the beach near the hotel too shallow for swimming and the sand not nice, there were no deck chairs or sun umbrellas on the beach. wireless internet didn't work in the room, but could use a pc downstairs near reception for 30mins for free. the pool was great and the staff were friendly, check in and out was quick and easy.

Good value hotel”
My wife and I enjoyed this hotel. We booked two days to get the feel of the area and extended another two days. It has a fabulous pool which we enjoyed. The staff were friendly and accommodating even though they had very limited English skills. Quite understandable since the area has mostly Thai tourists. No problems though. We did not eat at the restaurant but a British couple told us it.was.good. Breakfast was fine. Good variety. We had two different rooms, oven view and then the lower floor. We.were there over the New Year and the place was booked so.we had to move downstairs. Manager adjusted the rate for us. Both rooms were good. We had a positive stay at this hotel and would recommend it. The beach is not the greatest but the pool more than makes up for that. We ended up moving to a bungalow further down the strip but the stay at the hotel enabled us to have a stress free four days over the holiday while we explored the area. Would stay here again.

Lovely hotel with a great pool”
At first we plan to stay in this hotel only two days but we were so satisfy and stay one day more. The hotel location is very good, rooms are comfortable with nice sea view, the hotel restaurant was good and the staff friendly. We spent very good time by the pool. Only the beach isn´t clean.

Good place for quiet relaxing stay, but busy w/e”
Very pleasant few days stay with good room, balcony and view over sea. Not many foreigners stay and weekends are popular with Thai company sponsored holiday weekends so can be busy although we did not find this an inconvenience. A couple of small beach restaurants within walking distance although to south, however many more available a km or so up the coast to the north. Beach has very shallow gradient so not the best swimming stop in the world but they have kayaks for rent.

Pleasant Beachside Hotel”
a large beachside resort hotel with approx 30 big chalets for rent as well as the rooms in the main hotel situated right on the sea shore, although in front of the resort itself there is actually no beach as the sea literally laps the wall at the front of the resort. all the rooms are sea view, with balconies, and are quite large and pleasantly furnished. there is a television but with very limited channels and nothing in english and there is free wifi in reception if you have your own computer. the hotel has a reasonable restaurant but there is very little other choice outside of the resort, in winter at least. this area caters mostly for thai people and their high season is our summer when apparently the resort gets very full. we were very lucky and there were hardly any other guests so we had the large swimming pool to ourselves. the sea is very shallow for a long way out which would be great for children but is a long walk for an adult even to get up to their waist.

views forever and what a swimming pool!!”
If you want to get away from the crowds this is the place to go. Midweek you will have the hotel and beach to yourself. Rooms are clean, spacious and quiet. The hotel is looking a bit tired and the staff try hard. The games room was a dissapointment as the pool table and soccer table were not working.Food and drinks are pricey compared to what you can get within a 5 minute walk outside the hotel. The swimming pool is awesome and the buffet breakfast reasonable.

Good holiday hotel on the beach”
This Hotel is good for spending weekend and holidays; clean wide beach, large swimming pool, lovely reastaurant just on the beach, beach is not so far from Bangkok, but still qiuete and unknown. Hotel have different size bungalows too for families and main building have hotel rooms with all balconies on the seaside
