This hotel offers a clean, modern, comfortable room which is an excellent value for the money. The room was surprisingly large and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE, offering a welcome break from the usual cheap and hard mattresses in Vietnam. The area is a bit far from the most common tourist spots (lakes district), easy to get to by taxi but too far to walk. At night (11pm) it was difficult to find shops or street-food available in the area. For this reason, it makes an excellent business hotel, when walking at night isn't your priority. The breakfast buffet was large and more than I expected.

Pros Halal food for meals, muslim friendly hotel and comfortable Cons Dong xuan market is quite far from this hotel and not recommended to old or less able people that decide to walking to the market.... But you can request taxi from hotel and pay about 50-60k dong As a Muslim, i recommend you to book this hotel and no need to think about searching for halal meals

Pullman is conveniently located for my business needs as most of my meetings are in the Dong Da area, some decent local restaurants are within walking distance. Traffic is moderate compared to the very busy Hoan Kiem District. the hotel décor is dated but the rooms are clean, as can be expected of an international hotel chain. Free wifi was appreciated. I would probably consider staying at the Pullman again if I am in Hanoi for business.

Booked through Agoda and requested for Airport transfer since i will be arriving about 8-9PM. I think it is a standard practice for Hotels all over the world (esp hotel that cost and rated as high as Dream Hotel & Apartment) to contact the guest regarding the airport transfer and how much it would cost. And if the customer accepts the offer, then the airport transfer is confirmed/rejected. What i experienced was that i requested for Airport transfer and did not received any notification from Dream Hotel & Apartment. Therefore i assumed that there is no airport transfer catered for me since there is no agreement made. Nevertheless, when i reached Hanoi Airport i hope to find someone holding a sign with Dream Hotel & Apartment and my name on it, but couldn't find any. So i took a taxi to Dream Hotel & Apartment which cost 400k VND. And was immediately told by receptionist that airport transfer was catered for me and the driver is waiting at the airport for me. And even though i was not notified that airport transfer was catered for me, they expect me to pay 300k VND for it. I think that it is totally unfair for customers. The price was not agreed beforehand and they can name any price for that. It could have been 3 Million VND or any other amount and customers will still have to pay. It's bad service and i think the hotel management should have thought through this more thoroughly. Other than this, the location is near a busy junction with lots and lots of traffic. Nearby there is a bar/cafe with many locals hanging out. But no convenient shop nearby and not many eateries around. Room is cozy with good facilities such as cooking utensils, ironing facilities etc.

Everything about this hotel is 5 star, but I was most impressed by the staff, courteous and helpful. The location is in the middle of a local market which add to your experience. Easy walk to the railway station, but I recommend a cab as it is not easy for a first time visitor to find, waning, it is close enough to the station cab drivers try to give you a "city tour" on the way. If you are a first time visitor to Hanoi not so bad. But know what to expect, go right to the cab queue, don't go with those on the platform offering cabs (this applies everywhere). Good restaurants within walking distance and you can easily walk to the city centre. On of my best experiences on my recent Vietnam trip, you will enjoy this hotel.

I was on business trip and this hotel is located closer to the factory (further from tourist area). What's important for us are: clean room, english TV channels, reliable WIFI. This hotel has them all. No complaints about that. I'm out early in the morning and back late at night. A good night sleep, I got and that's wonderful. Will return to stay. If you are a tourist, might not be the best location.

"De La Thanh" that is in front of the hotel is always very very crowded. So it is very difficult that we get out of a taxi from airport and we catch a taxi. There are a few restaurants for the locals near the hotel, it is difficult that foreigners can find restaurants. And we must walk 5-15 minutes in order to find restaurants. 設備やスタッフはいいホテルですが、ロケーションが… "De La Thanh"通りはいつも混雑しているので、タクシーから降りるのも、捕まえるのも一苦労。 南北にはしるザンボー通りまで出るのも手。 近くにレストラン的なものがない。ネイティブ向けの小さな食堂はあるが、ベトナム語がわからないと厳しい。ザンボー通りを5〜15分歩けば小綺麗な店はある。

It is great to stay there because of its location and friendly staff. But the facility is a bit old and too noisy sometimes during the day.

I live at this hotel with my family. It looks like a business hotel. The whole environment is very clean and comfortable. Most importantly, it is very cheap compared to other hanoi hotel. I highly recommend you to book this hotel.

The hotel we booked via Agoda was full and we were offered La Rosa as substitute. It was a great deal. It was just in the same area as our previous hotel and it is near to many stores and food stalls. They offered to change our Philippine Peso to Vietnamese Dong and it was one of the best exchange rates we got. We got hungry around midnight and their restaurant was already closed but the receptionist kindly offered to accompany us to a nearby food stall. Excellent hotel service, definitely!

The room is pretty big and new. the staff here is helpful and friendly. I like this hotel except the smell from toilet. The price is good when I book through Agoda.

Pleasant but not exceptional. Communicating with staff made difficult due to language differences. Some basic ability in English by staff would have helped. Even so, counter staff did try their best. Appreciated their genuine warmth and smiles, despite the long hours at their positions. Happy to stay again at hotel if returning to the same vicinity.

The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. When we booked the room we were informed that there would be a double bed and a sofa bed. However there was no sofa bed. This was misleading as we would hv booked a room with 2 beds if we had known there will be only one bed.

The hotel offer quite a good room and service but referring to the previous maps, we thought is very near to old quarter and hoan kiem lake area. In overall the service and room still value for money.

My experience started with the pickup service from the airport - there was none. I have just mentioned that I want to be picked up at the airport in the standard booking form with Agoda. Previously that worked fine with most hotels. Hoa Hong didn't consider this request so that I needed to find my way with scam taxi drivers. It was possible to checkin quite early (~9pm), which is not possible in all hotels without extra charge. Communication with the staff was a little difficult as they speak very basic English.

1. The receptionist (a middle-aged lady) was rude during the check-in. Her English was terrible. 2. The location was terrible. It shared the same house number with a bakery shop. It seems that the business for this hotel might have gone so bad that they have to sublet the house front. 3. The room was so dirty. The floor was dusty, with cowebs, etc. 4. There is no facility for sure, except a barely working lift. 5. Value - you must be kidding me....

We felt very cosy and welcome in tofu's house. The rooms are clean and the staff tries its best to make you feel good. There is even a small kitchen in the room. The area is quiet and gives you a lot of options to see a different site of Hanoi besides the old quarter. We enjoyed the stay and would come back.

No one speaks English. The staff had to use phone dictionary. My search criteria on Agoda's website was "Old City' - Milan Hotel is on the opposite side of Hanoi.. The staff as such was sweet and helpful, but communication hopeless due to the language barrier.

I was expecting far less for some reason. I wanted a place to crash in & shower after long weary overnight train ride. However in all honesty its not bad. I barely heard traffic (there were no trains moving but I was close to alot of hustle & bustle still) anything from my room. It was clean enough. The bed was hard that I must admit. The pho served in breakfast was really good (however their breakfast strangely doesnt include drinks??). The staff barely spoke English so this would not have been the best place if I stayed my 1st night in Hanoi here. The taxi rate is cheaper than from Old Quarter (VND 300k instead of VND 400k). Its quite away from the Hoan Kiem/ Old Quarter district though (that's where the action is and shd be) BUT having said that its probably 20-30mins walk away & you always can hop onto a local's bike & ride to-&-fro barely costing you much. So it depends on you. I think its a pretty decent motel to stay in and would recommend to those who want such categories as its a good one.

The stay was ok, staffs know a bit english but just simple phrases, my room had no hot water for the first 2 days and wifi was unstable. Luckily a viet fd of mine helped and I got to changed my room and it was fine. Something makes me irritate was when I asked one of the staff to fix wifi and hot water, he did follow me to the room but from the ground floor moment till waiting at the lift, he was focusing on his little iphone game and just kept on playing , didnt even help to press lift and floor. After we were at my floor, he was still playing even standing in the lift didnt feel like going out. I had to ask him out, and he was just kept on playing and slowly walked to my room, I had to shout at him to ask him walk faster and he just ignored me, acted like checking the room for me but just for like 30 sec and he said he will ask receptionist to help.A staff that need a customer to wait for him , this is impossible and unacceptable.

We booked this hotel as we had a reason to be close by. However we found it hard to get around, not being able to speak Vietnamese. Probably not the best area for tourists. The hotel itself was what we paid for, with the staff clearly doing their best to accommodate us despite the language barrier. However, there are other options at a similar price point closer to the old quarter.

Perfect hotel near the train station. Breakfast was great! The amenities in the room are complete and clean. Highly recommended.

Each member of this homestay truly makes any guest feel staying home. If you travel with your soulmate or friends, I recommend this place as a good destination. This house is in the centre of Hanoi, so it's quite easy to hang around but still having peace when coming back home.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was nice and the host and his family were all friendly and helpful. If you are only in Hanoi for a few days, I would only recommend booking this place if you have a motorbike. Basically all activities (tours, bus stations) are located in the Old Quarter and this place is too far to walk.

The room is very cute however the condition is not really good. The air-conditioner doesn't work well, the television has very poor quality. I also cannot clock the bathroom door so I have to use a rope to keep it's close. The price is reasonable so if you just find a place to sleep, it s ok.

While most of staff do not speak English proficiently, they go out of their way to try to understand you and what it is you need. Everyone I met understood what the hotel stands for - Friendliness and Service. I thought nothing of them taking down my passport information as what hotels would do during check-in. BUT they clearly noted my birthday which happened to be during my stay, and lo and behold, I had flowers, a dinner voucher and a present waiting for me at the reception counter. If you need to go somewhere by taxi, inform the porter/bellman. Not only will they hail the taxi for you, they will remind the driver to be honest and not over-charge. And if you need a motorbike taxi, request the friendly porter/bellman to negotiate and firm up the price before you hop on. If you are tired of the food in the hotel, walk a short distance either to the left or right of the hotel. You will spot small stalls selling Vietnamese food to the locals working nearby. Delicious local food at local prices e.g. rice noodles, crispy spring rolls, fried rice, banh-mi (local baguette), etc. I experienced all these simply because I was surrounded by friendly hotel staff who went out of their way to ensure my stay was enjoyable with a local flavour.

I was very pleasantly suprised with this hotel. I had stayed in a bunch of hotels when I got to Asean at around the same price range. When I walked in I thought I might be in the wrong hotel. The hotel appears much better than it's official 3.5 stars. The rooms were a tad small but, but very well desined and very modern. Staff were very friendly.
