The hotel is in very good condition: modern equipment, simple but elegant decoration, very clean. We spent 2 nights here and really relaxed. The location is in centre of the city, far from sightseeing places about 7-18km, my family used taxi/grab to travel so no problem with location. Price is rather good compared with resorts in Ninh Binh. We highly recommend this hotel and will come back for sure.

Two of us settling in to 3 months working in Hanoi, visited Ninh Binh to get away from the hustle bustle of Hanoi. We haven't been to this area before so looked for a place to use as a base to get a first idea of the Ninh Binh area, and the Legend Hotel fitted the bill, booking easily online. We caught the early train from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, bought tickets easily at Hanoi station, had good seats and updated carriage on an S5 train, and was a good trip (except I left my favourite hat on the train in the melee getting off the train at Ninh Binh...). The Legend Hotel at first seems to be in a strange area where there is a lot of building (houses and hotels), and out of the town centre, but it's so easy getting around that the position doesn't really matter. Great views of the mountains, the cemetery and the general area. The private houses being built near the hotel, in what seems to be a new housing part of the town, are amazing - several huge replicas of the Basilica in Rome being built for one family make a surreal statement against the magical background of the stunning karst mountains. The hotel is relatively modern (15 years?), very well appointed, very clean with a good kitchen and dining room and other facilities including a good swimming pool which would have been great on a hot day. Key guests seem to be bus groups, so our first lunch on the day we arrived was unreal - just the two of us in a full silver service dining room for 110 people, with full staff in attendance! Several bus groups arrived while we were there which was interesting and no problem at all for individual travelers. The highlight of the hotel are the staff members - very polite, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and all speaking English to various degrees. The two we had most to do with were Hanh (? ) who seemed to be the day manager, and Phao Tong who was our guide on our day trip to the nature area and various pagodas and other highlights. This big, new, gleaming hotel sets a new standard for the more humble town of Ninh Binh. You can come here and enjoy 5 star treatment and facilities. Although they are still building parts of the hotel, if you arrange with the concierge to use the pool or sauna, they will have it ready for you within 30 minutes. All the staff are very excited about their new roles in this flash establishment, and they will do their best for you despite some of the small inconveniences due to the building processes that are almost complete. We only had breakfast in the hotel, so we cannot comment accurately on their food and dining.

The hotel is brand new in a newly developed area of Ninh Binh. Big rooms, big restaurant, conference facilities. A bit Far out from town centre. No further comments

The perfect hotel in Ninh Binh! We unfortunately got sick on the way to Ninh Binh from Ha Giang and were quite ill during the early portion of our stay in this beautiful city - what was amazing about Camellia Hotel was that the hotel staff and owners took such great care of my girlfriend and I, we were so happy we chose this hotel. The rooms are some of the cleanest in Vietnam and for the price was totally worth it. They have bicycles they give out to visitors and hats if you are spending time in the sun. The showers were my favorite in Vietnam as well! Everything is close in Ninh Binh so the location was great! Just a stone's throw away from the city center it gave the peace and quiet needed but you could easily get to town for anything! Recommend this place easily to anyone!!

You go to Ninh Binh city to get out of Ninh Binh city. Thuy Anh hotel is located in the middle of the town, such as it is, but the real advantage is that it's a clean, comfortable, nicely appointed hotel that can set up tours of the surrounding countryside. The staff was exceedingly helpful and thorough, better than in most hotels I've been to in Southeast Asia.

The hotel was located in a quiet lane of Ninh Binh city center and the manager was extremely friendly and helpful, and could speak English well. The food was great and the room is spotlessly clean, nice and modern. We would recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The highlight of ninh binh was the surrounding country side and our friendly staff at the queen hotel. Our first day in ninh binh was pouring with rain so tuan and the team taught us Vietnamese for most of the day. I played my first Vietnamese sport, 'shuttle cock' soccer with them and they were nice enough to take us walkig around ninh binh one night. There isn't much to do in ninh binh town itself, but the staff made our trip enjoyable. The rooms were good value for money, plenty of space, clean, with a big bathroom and a good tv. I would definitly reccommended the queen hotel as your base if you are planning on travelling arround the country side of ninh binh.

My family and i stayed here for two nights and were very pleased with how clean and comfortable the rooms were. The staff was very helpful in explaining what there was to do and see in Ninh Binh, and even had scooters to rent for about $7.50 a day. The breakfast was simple but well done, considering how cheap the rooms are. I am very pleased and will stay at this hotel again the next time i visit Ninh Binh.

This is a new hotel (only open 5 months when we stayed) but they have a really good offering for a fantastic price. It is very conveniently located for the two major attractions in Ninh Binh - Trang An and Tam Coc. You will struggle to find a hotel of this quality much closer. You can rent bicycles for free or pay a small fee for the motorbikes. Not sure how much, as we went for the bicycles. It's about 6km to Trang An, slightly further to Tam Coc. The hotel is located outside of Ninh Binh centre but it's only about 4 dollars in a taxi to get in on an evening if you wish to eat and drink there. I'd recommended this as there isn't really much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Room was nice and clean, decent amenities and the Pho (noodle soup) for breakfast was delicious.

No twin rooms when booking, but they are available on arrival. The receptionist is very helpful providing us breakfast at very early morning before leaving for Bai Chay. The staff at night is very kind eventhouht he cannot speak English. I asked him to write down the hotel's names and places in Vietnamese and he was willing to do. The rooms are clean daily.

The property is between Ninh Binh City and Tam Coc/Trang An areas, so offers good access to all is cycling or driving. Free bicycle hire was very welcomed, travelling nearly 20km in a day! However seats are quite hard and my bottom is still suffering two days later lol Property itself is lovely and new, very clean and comfortable, offering everything you need. The host, Hai, and his family are incredibly kind and helpful, and are very keen to ensure you have the best stay possible. We were very kindly sent off with a large glass of delicious, homemade banana wine, and Hai even accompanied us in the taxi to the train station, which I'm sure as a result was an incredibly reasonable price. We did not take advantage of having dinner with the family as it was out of our budget, but I wish we had and I would certainly recommend spending some time with these lovely people 😊

They only provided rooms for your booking precisely. No food, no extra service at least your daily basic drink (2 bottles) was paid by 20.000 dong/ bottle. Especially, there was a stinky smell of toilet, it killed me in 2 days stay.

Ninh Binh the City isn’t really popular. There is not much to do or see. But from the Golden Bell Hostel you can reach very easily nice Tempels and Landscapes. The Staff in the Hostel organizes a good Scooter for less money.

Had a comfortable few nights' stay at Go. The complex is really big and spacious. It used to be the old railway station and the renovation has taken care of preserving the ambiance. They screened the Euro on a big screen which was great. There is a pool table and two nice common areas to socialize and meet new people. The beds are comfortable and provided with a personal reading light. The staff rents out bikes and motos. I personally found the bikes a bit pricey but that's alright I guess. In all, it was well worth the money spent. Would recommend it and stay here again if I am ever in Ninh Binh.

A perfect stay! Very nice an big room, very comfy bed and super clean. The breakfest options are good (you can choose between a few options) and the coffee tasty. But the best part is the staff! They have been so friendly to us and gave their best to made us the best stay possible. Thank you!! :-)

Booked the 2nd night separately because the staffs were so helpful making us felt welcomed. They will recommend a place to eat by locals and giving you information on how to go places around with an estimated cost. it's walking distance to the train station which make it great for us who left Ninh Binh for Hue by train. A great experience.

i loved this place. the owner mrs. kim lien opened it 1 year ago with assistance from a dutch friend. vietnam’s climate ages buildings quickly. therefore it’s noteworthy that this hotel is clean, its paint and plaster are intact, and its sheets are snow white. the dining/common area is a real gem. it isn’t buried inside the building like many hotel dining rooms in vietnam. it’s front and center with nice furnishings and a pleasant cross breeze. breakfast is normally included in the room rate. dinner costs an extra 80,000 vnd ($4). kim lien cooks well. one morning i had fried eggs with a baguette. the next i got a delicious banana pancake topped with banana slices and honey. both dinners featured fried tofu, spring rolls, french fries and a vegetable. the 2nd night i got chicken fritters too. it’s not health food, but it’s tasty. kim lien has two motorbikes for hire: a manual and an automatic. both cost 200,000 vnd ($10) per day. i rented the automatic and crashed it on wet gravel 30 km out. to my eternal gratitude, kim lien sent out for antiseptic ointment and bandages and cheerfully cleaned me up. now that’s service! of course, she wouldn’t let me rent a motorbike after that. instead she insisted that i ride as a passenger. the driver took me to all the places i wanted to go and charged reasonable rates. it cost 300,000 vnd ($15) for a full day of sightseeing around ninh binh city (where there’s lots to do), and 400,000 vnd ($20) to go to the cuc phuong national park, a 50 km ride each way. the kim lien guesthouse isn’t a fancy place. the rooms don’t have televisions or refrigerators. i suspect the amenities will improve over time. kim lien told me that she’s gradually investing in improvements as she brings in new income. the dining room has potential to be a great gathering place for travelers. you’ll never find a more earnest or well-intentioned hotelier than kim lien. there are too few of those in vietnam. give her your business. you won’t reg

We were in ninh binh for 2 days, each day the owner made an amazing Tour with us by bis car. He took us to the Nationalpark, pagoda and so on, for a good price. He also organized bus Transport to hue. He was really great during our stay. We have booked a very cheap room, but he gave us a bigger, more expensive room for the same money! Food was very good, but little expensive, but we wanted to try some speacialities of the Region, and therefore it little expensive. When eating at his Restaurant he always came with his 'ninh binh water', a ricewine ;) We recommend this Hotel!

we arrived at ninh binh tired and a bit cold, but all that changed within seconds of walking through the canh dieu's front door. we were given such a warm welcome by the most genuinely friendly and kind hearted family who run this hotel. straight away we were each given a glass of hot ginger tea which revived us immediately. we wanted a place to rest and recharge our batteries for a week and our choice of canh dieu in the lovely city of ninh binh proved to be just the right spot. our very comfortable twin room, which overlooked the mountain, was most pleasant, both from the views we had to the cleanliness and daily maintenance attended to also by happy and cheerful family members. plenty of hot water and a more than adequate breakfast (included in room price) ensured we had a great start to each day. not to forget all those generous little extras that came with a smile and the compliments of this lovely family - warm drinks (always just when we needed them), vietnamese snacks to try and a beautiful meal delivered to our room after we'd returned from a long walk on a fairly cold day - wow! we were just knocked out!! the free wifi worked perfectly from our room also. we were never pressed to go on trips either. there was a polite enquiry on our first morning, but after finding out that we just preferred to take things easy, go for walks etc., we were given a pamphlet and map of the town and our wishes to have a quiet week were respected. after a few days we decided to go on a trip by car and what a fabulous day we had too! all was organised to suit our requirements. our driver was safe and very considerate and even though he didn't speak english we found this no problem at all. the car was clean and, happily, did not smell of cigarettes (a bit of a problem at times in other places). we saw an ancient imperial city at hoa lu, were amazed at the size of bai dinh pagoda, thoroughly enjoyed our boat ride at trang an through water caves and incredible scenery and ju

Location is in city center, but kinda far from Tam Coc and other tourist attractions. Staff will try to force you to hire motorcycle drivers, but we rented bicycles instead. Food is fine. Rooms are very large and clean.

The hotel is in a good position, the room is clean and confortable. The staff is friendly and can arrange for you bike and motorbike rental, private car tour to the National Park and bus/train tickets for the next step. The breakfast is poor but for this price is reasonable. I would recommend it to everyone who want to spend some days in Ninh Binh

The hotel was fine but Ninh Binh city is quite choked with traffic so if I were to visit again I'd stay a little way out nearer Tam Coc. The staff were friendly and helpful and hired us bicycles at a reasonable rate (it's the only place in town with bikes that have gears). The beds are really comfortable, it was our best sleep in days. The hotel restaurant is decent and there's a great cafe (chookies) next door if you want to branch out.

We travelled by train from Hanoi and after one night and day spent in Ninh Binh continued by train to Hue. The hotel is in front of the train station, it is very clean, staff let us have a shower before our departure free of charge in one of their rooms. They even gave us bottle of water to the train free of charge. We rented motorbike there and everything went fine.

I stayed at Kinh Do Hotel for 2 nights, arriving in Ninh Binh in the evening on 30 March 2013. The staff at Kinh Do Hotel are all amazing! The manager, Luong, is incredibly friendly and helpful and always has a smile on his face. The rest of the hotel staff are also lovely and did everything possible to make my stay here really enjoyable. There isn't much to do in Ninh Binh itself but the natural scenery at nearby places like Tam Coc and Mua Cave is stunning. Luong helped arrange a brilliant trip to the Cuc Phuong national park on my first full day in Ninh Binh and a trip to Tam Coc, Bich Dong pagoda and Mua Cave on my second. He also arranged for me to be driven (at no charge!!) to the train station on my first day to make sure I could buy my train ticket to Da Nang. The rooms are also large, clean, comfortable and have good a/c. For the price, the hotel is excellent value. If you're visiting Ninh Binh, make sure you stay at Kinh Do Hotel!!

At first sight you could think that the hotel is far from the city centre but as Ninh Binh is only a place to sleep in order to visit the surroundings, the quietness of the streets and view on the river made it a winner hotel. Our stay was comfortable and friendly. The staff spoke a bit of english which is a plus. Good value for money, just all we needed.
