Solo traveller, GREAT hostel ”
Non la mer was such a wonderful stay for me. I stayed 5 nights in koh Lanta. It was located pretty centrally which meant (if up for a long walk) was close enough to walk to the north pier area. The beach is a 5 minute walk across the street, and is super quiet.. I was the only one on the beach for kilometres some days. Across the street "papaya" restaurant is VERY good, lots of dishes for 60THB which means a dish and a drink for 100THB. The best part about this hostel was the staff. All the girls at the front desk were so smiley and welcoming every time I came "home". One even took me with her to the Sunday market and explained which Thai foods were the most tasty. Even though I was a solo traveller, these girls made my trip 100x better. Sometimes they even made some baking to share with the guests. Honestly, these girls were amazing <3 Delicious toast, tea and jam for breakfast. Definitely a quiet island, great for book reading, relaxing and exploring the whole thing via scooter (see the old town and diamond cliff). This is the best hostel on koh Lanta (and yes, I'm biased)

Great hostel!”
Everything was great at the hostel. I mer guys that were there, went to another one and came back after 3 days 'cause they missed it. I was myself at another one and left to go to Non la mer ! Clean, nice staff, breakfast, comfortable beds (as comfy as it can get for a dorm). The place is really made for people to get together and talk to each other too. The location is also great, Mr Green restaurant very close and open very late (like 5 o'clock or so), super cool bar downstairs, beach 5 min walk and nice bars too!

Best hostel I stayed so far!!”
This hostel just opened their doors and you noticed staff was trying to do everything to make you feel comfortable!! They welcome you with open hearts and call you by your first name what makes it more personal. I've booked my transfer and boat ticket for my way back to the main land via the hostel and that was very well arranged! Ask staff where to go out at night, they know where the party is because Koh Lanta can be quiet at night. Walk to the beach in 5 minutes and mini market and ATM next door. Shower in the room is cold but down stairs they have hot showers, it looks very modern and clean!!

Great Hostel on a beautiful island”
Non La Mer (meaning nightmare apparently) Hostel had only been open a couple of weeks when i stayed there. The receptionist was awesome, Owl Na (at least that's how she told me to say her name). This hostel is a 10 minute walk from the beach, but Koh Lanta is so laid back it doesn't really matter. Although not on the beach you are near cafe's bars and tour agencies, so the location isn't bad.

I adored non la mer, the beds were comfy, the common area was so nice and chilled out with hammocks that I spent way too long in! A few minutes walk to long beach and opposite a restaurant called papaya which is also awesome! Free water refills were also great!

Exceptional”
Great hostel in good location on the main road near Long Beach. Friendly and helpful staff who are able to organise transport, day trips, cheap scooter rental etc. Comfortable beds with individual sockets and reading lights, lockable storage in room for valuables. Ensuite cold shower bathroom with hot showers available downstairs. Sociable atmosphere, good for meeting other travellers. Popular bar downstairs with daily drink deals, yet not a problem in terms of noise if you're not feeling up to partying.

Great location, good prices on tours/transfers”
Great location minutes from long beach, near some good restaurants and a couple doors down from a minimart. They also rent scooters for 150TBT a day which a good deal and sell tours and transfers for competitive prices. The staff is helpful for all your needs. Also breakfast was free when I was there. That was a bit unexpected but a nice addition. The only cons was the rooms can be a little dark and uninviting. On the flip side, the bar, patio and second level chill area are airy and relaxing.

Really welcoming”
Staying with Non Le Mer was so homely and welcoming, staff super friendly and inclusive, communal space was comfy and it was really easy and comfortable to chat with everyone. Really knowledgeable staff as well, so helpful in sorting us out :)

Decent budgets hostel. ”
The staff here is A+++ so incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is a budget hostel so there are some things to be desired. Aircon in my room hardly worked, and with only one oscillating fan, i had to take a cold shower before bed to feel cool enough to sleep. Also Aircon only runs from 5pm-10am if I remember correctly. Location is decent, with a good beach across the street. Also a bar that opens nightly below the hostel. Otherwise it is important you rent a scooter to get to the better beaches down south. Simple breaks fast is included (eggs and toast). I would definitely consider booking here again if on a budget.

This is a great hostel. The staff are helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Best thing is the large social area - it’s really easy to meet people with day and night events also organised via the hostel. I was planning on staying 3 nights but extended on for a week. Great place to chill out between the noisier party islands. 5 stars!

great hostel with super friendly staff”
The hostel had only been open for a week when I stayed there and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms & bathroom were very clean and the central lounge area was a nice space to relax in and meet fellow travelers. The dorm room could use more fans to keep it cool, but they already had plans to do this. Location was great on the main road and only a short walk to the beach. I'd stay there again.

Great stay! Although it was low season, I had the chance to meet and hang out with other travelers. Facilities are clean, and the beds are comfy. Staff is incredible - a big shoutout to them! The hostel has some scooters/mopeds which you can rent for a great value! Totally recommend this hostel!

Fantastic hostel”
One of my favourite hostels in Thailand. Beds and facilities were good. The chill area has hammocks and loads of cushions. Bar downstairs is a really great place to meet other travellers. Scooter rental is relatively cheap.

Fantastic hostel”
Spacious rooms, really friendly staff, welcome message on a board for all new guests which was a really nice personal touch. Breakfast simple but good. Coffee and water available most of the day for free. Beach mats, snorkelling equipment and games available for hire for free. Scooters available to rent. Near to beach. Overall a great stay!

great youth hostel with really nice staff”
I made a reservation due to the rating on agoda. Made a right choice.Friendly and always smiled staff.Very helpful with advices.Very clean ( all facilities ).You can rent a moped or sign up for a diving course with one of their partners. There is a nice cheap food stand ( restaurant) with thai food. A small market 10 m next to it and 100 from a beautiful sand beach.
