Theatre night”
Stayed for 1 night to watch cluedo at the Kings theatre. Anyway the hotel was good as we had a nice spacious room. We were also treated to a complimentary drink for me and my partner at the bar. I used the steam room and sauna on 6 th floor. It took about 30 mins for them to warm up as I was first up there at 7 am but once it got going it was fine. The breakfast was great. Really enjoyed it. Only £8 to use the car park for the night which was great to.

Modern yet a nice friendly hotel”
Arrived before midnite so it s more cumbersome to use parking at Charing Cross which guests pay the same as Novotel’s own parking. Chris who managed the desk solo was very nice to get us extra fan as nites get more warm. Having a separate cubicle for WC is like Japananese’ concept is very useful when we have 3 adults in the room. Sofa bed comes in 2 separate single beds. Not so comfy but good for 2 persons. Very practical layout. Wish the AC works better.

Another gr8 stay!”
3rd time lucky it seems, as I had an executive room this time around. Familiar faces on the desk, bar and restaurant made it a warm welcome and as always nothing was too much trouble, despite the hotel being very busy and booked to capacity.

Needs a refresh but lovely staff”
The reception area is fine, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms let the hotel down, although they are a good size. I could write a very detailed analysis of how they need updated, but to be brief: dowdy decor; not enough sockets or any USB connections; poor lighting; worn-looking furniture and odd positioning of it; no air-con: no fridge or safe. I'm not quite sure how this is a 4-star hotel? Saying all this, the great staff really made my stay bearable... but I wouldn't rush back until they give the place a thorough refurb.

Not soundproof as hotel states ”
Next room was noisy from cleaning but the above thought coming from me and started incredible noice you can tell was on purpose after 4h of above rooms harassment the receptionist with voice sounding like Wilma from The Flinstones movie wasn’t very happy to put me in another room she said we are very busy and did not deal professionally as i paid for relax not abuse 4h just laying tired in bed to get harassed. When I explained she seemed bothered to deal with and sounded annoyed . The guy with beard moved me into another room he was polite and understanding. All I can say is try to put yourself in other people shoes and learn empathy and understanding don’t ignore us when we need your help. Thanks

Have allways been good, but this time failed”
It have always been a pleasure staying in Novotel Hotel Glasgow (several times). Unfortunately this time a very serious failure. During breakfast our daughter got a piece of glass (30 mm x 5 mm) in her breakfast serial and yogurt. The way this incident was handled from the staff and management really not very professional. What the staff should have done and not the guest responsibility!!!! No action was taken in order to prevent other guest eating from same parts of the buffet. We was offered drinks even dinner in the night. All of which we refused, it was not a question of getting something it was a question of the management really understood the seriously of this incident. Anyway we will probably stay there again. But if it ever happen for us in any hotel. I will shout out loud "pls stop eating the food are contaminated".

Good short stay option in Glasgow”
Good family room with clean bathroom and decent public spaces. We had a warm welcome with kids given soft toys on arrival. Breakfast was fine. 10min walk to station up hill, and off a nice garden square. Lots of building work nearby but didn’t hear it at all. All in all, a good value option for families.

First stay in Novotel Glasgow ”
I booked this hotel due to the extremely good price offered, even though it was further from the city centre areas I would usually book. I arrived a little after midnight, and the public areas around reception were very quiet, and check in was both speedy & straightforward. The building looks very modern from the facade, and the reception/public areas, as well as lifts and floor hallways. However, once in the room, I was met with a very much mixed bag, part modern, part rather dated. For example, whilst the bathroom & separate wc were of a modern ilk, the walls of the room were done in an 80’s feel artex like, textured coating. All sockets (of which there none under 2 metres from the bed), were wired by trunk encased, surface mounted wiring. The room furniture was of a relatively low quality, and showed signs of wear and tear, but not horrific. The room was fairly large, with plenty room to move around, but this did cause an issue with tv distance from the bed, as well as the aforementioned sockets being too far away from the bed for my phone to charge, whilst retaining the ability to use it, or the alarm function on it! Now, I still say the room was extremely good value for money, as I paid under £40 for my stay, but if I had paid anywhere remotely close to the rack rate advertised on my arrival (£210), I would be less than impressed. Even if I paid what I would regard as a standard 4 star price of in the region of £100, I would be disappointed. Cleanliness wasn’t too bad I thought, a few marks around the top of the bathtub, some ‘splatter’ marks of some sort on the side of the clothes hanging area, but nothing major. Until this morning, when opening my blackout curtains, I found a used, and not mine(!), towel in the crevice between the sofa and the curtains. On the subject of towels, I found them to be small, and not of the highest quality, certainly not what I’d expect from a 4 star hotel. One final thing I noted, while the door to the bathtub area was fairly mo
