Good breakfast, good air conditioning, kind size bed but I prefer a mattress with topper. great staff but not much english, clean, modern facility, everything works well can rent a motorbike, Location is very good, across from the beach Not much of a view from the room though.

I like the view, the price is ok, the location is excellent, but the facility is bad, lift spoilt many time during my stay. Other than that, everything looks good , will defeinately come back again!

Quality on the Decline ”
We’ve been going to Ocean Star for over 6 years now and noticed the decline in facilities more than any other aspect of the property. The beds are old and very uncomfortable and the bathroom amenities are just as terrible. The shower heads leak and there is no hot water at times. The towels are old and rough plus the bath mat is smelly. To maintain a 3 star rating they must pick up their effort to win back my patronage. The only comment that is positive is the location near the beach...but not enough for me and my wife.

Room not clean ,dont have hot water and no breakfast ”
I book this hotel for this vocation of my girlfriend birthday then when we check in after check the room restroom wasn't clean and room look a bit old after we comeback to shower they don't have hot water!!! Then around 3am I stay at 8 floor but some how I can hear music very loud come from somewhere in the area look like party or club and they keep it like that for over hour. Morning I just find out another one thing since I book hotel and should to pay now they not give me breakfast and if I pay later I will get breakfast what is it ? They show at first when we book breakfast included this is worst hotel stay ever

Fun location near local beach & great street food”
We were 6 people travelling to Vung Tau for a few days and ended up booking at Ocean Star as they had 2 triple rooms available. The hotel was clean, staff very courtesy and rooms comfortable, but we also really enjoyed that the location was on the local (not tourist) beach. While this meant that we swam in shorts and tshirts instead of bikinis (since the Vietnamese women swimming were also wearing long sleeves and long pants), we loved it. Much more interesting to see how Vietnamese tourists treat their beaches than us regular tourists Terrific grilled squid and octopus on the beach, as well as a 10-15 min walk around the corner for banh khot or bun mam soup. Would stay here again.

bright clean friendly hotel”
we had a delighhtful stay at ocean star the staff were very helpful even though communication was difficult due to language barrier. Very noisy because we arrived during the chinese new year so vung tau was packed but the staff very kindly let us move to the top floor which was marginaly quieter.would recomend the hotel at a quieter time of year, Very good experiece in deed.

we had a lovely time at the ocean star hotel. the room was one of the nicest i've stayed in in vietnam...very modern technology (tv and air conditioner). the staff was really friendly and helpful. will definitely stay at the ocean star again the next time i go back to vung tau!

Very nice hotel for that price”
Well, that was nice decision to stay at this hotel in Vung Tau. We've been there in the end of november - clima was nice: sunny days and something like 30-35 Celsius every day. The hotel itself is situated in couple of minutes from the city beach which was very nice. On other hand that beach isn't that good for taking rest - a bit of garbage everywhere. We've found a solution - to the right there is a tile of the beach surrounded with small asset of rocks. Clean and pariculary desert. It's available in the morning. Staff in the hotel is very nice. They always smiling and trying to do their best for you. The only one con is their language skills. Sometimes it was a bit hard to have a convesation with them. On other hand - Asia is all about that. Some ants in the rooms if you leave something sweet for a night. We bought fruits on the nearby market and hotel housekeeper slice it for us, which was very pleasant. So nice choice for that price.

A good hotel for holiday”
The staff was very nice and they provided the best service for us. The price is worth. They gave good advice about the local restaurants so we got the good food with economic price. The hotel location is near the center and the beach, so we could enjoy all the exiting activities of the city. We think that we will recommend Ocean Star hotel for our friends and we will come back to stay their if we have opportunities to visit this city.

Lovely Hotel With a great sea view”
ocean star hotel is a nice hotel with a great view. its directly in front of the beach.you can see beach view from the hotel. its clean and also nice place for stay. in the night because of the location in the main road of vung tau, so we can walk or rent bike go around.

second time at a great value hotel”
this day started off unusual. Our room was on the seventh floor and as soon as we close the door to our room it locked permanently. When we called reception no one picked up.fortunately for me my girlfriend speaks Vietnamese and we used her cell phone to call the hotel. That way reception answered and we're able to have her send maintenance up to our room after 1 hour maintenance could not unlock car door and then lowered a screwdriver from the room above to our open window so we can unscrew the door hardware and maintenance could have let us out. We all had a laugh and the hotel put us in another room. After that bad start everything improved and we had a great time in Vung Tau. this hotel is quite nice in a great value I recommend it and will use it again when I go the next time

Good choice for my family as the hotel is very close to the beach, park, convenient store and crowded area of Vung Tau. It has parking lot for car convenient enough. Nice staff. Breakfast buffet is good and plenty of choice. Will recommend it for my friends.

Service is good. We asked for extra soap and towel, it delivers within 3mins. Located juz opposite d beach, n walking distance to the newly opened largest shopping mall in vung tau. Within 15mins to all the sightseeing mark from hotel.

Magnificent beach views”
we originally booked for one night, but stayed for an extra night in this clean, affordable hotel right on the beachfront in vung tau. the room was very clean with a large in-room safe and a good range of tv channels. the aircon worked very well, and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom. low season meant that the buffet breakfast was not available, so the choices were limited and not very good. overall, a good choice, and would stay again.

A nice cozy beach front hotel.”
A nice cozy small hotel on the beachfront of Vung Tao. Across from the sreet of the hotel is the long stretch Vung Tao beach where thousand of local and foreigner enjoy the pacific ocean. There are many vendors selling drinks, food, etc all along the beach. You can rent chair under umbrella on the beach too. The hotel room is newly decorated, clean with cool aircon. However, the only one operating elevator is very slow. The buffet breakfast is sumpteous with local Vietnamese and continental food. The staffs are nice and helpful. There are lots of taxi in front of hotel to get to anywhere.
