Beautiful Hotel”
Great location close to Marlioboro Road, beautiful gardens and pool, delicious breakfasts and they even deliver afternoon snacks to your room! Rooms are neat and comfortable, great views of the volcano from level 3. Staff are very friendly. Quiet from street noise, I’ll be booking here again next trip to Yogya.

Very friendly and kind staff, very good experience overall, but the rooms not as nice as in the photos. Will stay there again, anyway just because the restaurant is in a beautiful garden. I think the rooms need a little upgrade, that's all. We requested to be changed to a better room, and it was nicer, so I guess that it depends of what kind of room you get.

Cool Garden Hotel”
I was intrigued by the design of this hotel, which had an "open air" effect featuring beautiful plants and a nice outdoor dining area to enjoy them from. You enter the main lobby without even opening a door too, adding to the ambiance of this unique hotel, positioned in the middle of the famous Malioboro area of Yogyakarta. We would walk straight out of the hotel into a lively street full of markets, street food and activity of all sorts. The rooms are basic and not that large, but the bathroom is huge with a large soaking tub. There was a leak from the air con into the back of the bathroom, which frankly didn't seem to matter because it was in an area we didn't even use. The staff spoke English very well and they were all very friendly. Breakfast in the outside dining area was free but rather basic as well. There's obviously a European connection at this hotel because we found ourselves surrounded by so many Dutch people that I started to think we were in a warmer version of Holland. The Peti Mas is certainly no luxury hotel. It served our purpose well for a few nights in Yogyakarta though, and had a certain charm that my girlfriend and I enjoyed. We were glad we stayed there.

Great stay but lousy aircond”
We went to Jogja in a group of 3 people. We stayed for 4 days in a standard superior twin room with an additional mattress. Room has an old vibe but was comfortable enough. It has 2 power point. One at the makeup table and another one in the toilet. Aircond did not function. We felt warm the whole 4 days of our stay eventhough we never switched off the aircond when we left. Water pressure was low. At one point when my friend was showering, the water stopped to flow. Loud azan doesn't bother us. Food was great. Staff were helpful. Arranged our tour to Borobudur at late night for an early morning tour. Called us a taxi to the airport. Location is great. Peti Mas is situated in the heart of Malioboro. 40mins to the airport. But I won't be staying in Peti Mas again because it is too crowded with people everytime we went outside of our hotel to get food.

Very big disappointment!!!!”
Being Guests in Peti Mas Hotel since 1997. Booked via agoda three weeks in advance a De Luxe room for 5 nights, Room Size 23m2, got a Standard room of Size only 16m2 when checking in on 29th of April 2017. Complained, but had to stay one night in small Standard Room, then two nights in De Luxe room. Then again we had to change to small sized Standard room, due to big group of tourists arriving. Stayed again in small Standard room one night, left earlier one day due to room that small. Communicated with agoda Customer Care, then Management Peti Mas offered discount 7%. We were laughing!! At last they reduced the bill from 175 $ to 150$. We cannot understand the managements handling of the case. Is this just a single case or does this happen often? The Hotel itself is very nice, the staff friendly. The breakfast coffee is ok.

great stay at peti mas; friendly staff at the restaurant; large room but old design; like others places in indonesia: not mosquito net only AC, take your electric plug against mosquito with you ! same for safety box inexistant. a very good place to stay in yoyga in standard room. tropical garden beautifull. to know: prayer at very early in the morning close to hotel so noisy a little bite ! better than dafam in same street

Quiet little oasis in a busy city”
This hotel was recommended too me, be a friend who lives in Yogya. And I think it was a very good choice, because it is offering good value for money. Especially the courtyard with bonsai trees, orchids, birds and a clean swimmingpool is a little oasis and the "green heart" of the hotel. (Sorry for the kitschy expression, but it is like that.;) The hotel is close to the central station, but since there is another yard in between the street and the entrance, one doesn`t hear the noise from the street. (Despite of the muezzins in the morning) it is a really quiet hotel. Nevertheless there were some minor deficits: - The breakfast was good. It`s probably "imported" from a nearby restaurant, I guess. But the lunch, we had in the hotel, was really not of the same quality. This shouldn`t be a big problem, since there are a lot of restaurants in this quarter. - The air conditioning in our room was a kind of broken: After some minutes of work it started to be really noisy. We complained about this, but fast help wasn`t in reach. - I booked online and asked for two separate beds instead of one big one. In most hotels, and also in the Peti Mas, this wish was ignored. - The were some little spots on the bed linen and some ants in the bathroom. Not really a problem.

Highly Recommend”
We spent 5 nights at Peti Mas and the experience was a memorable one...the gardens alone are breathtaking, it situated in a perfect position close to the main tourist area, also the staff were very friendly, the pool was also nice to cool off in after returning from a hot day exploring. The breakfast was fine and its definately value for money. We stayed up stairs in room "M" so nice and quiet compared to the ones near to the pool and restaurant area. Would certainly stay there again if ever visiting Yoygakarta.

This Hotel is very closed to Malioboro. You can go there by foot and you do not think of parking problem. Malioboro is central of Yogyakarta that never sleep. From morning the activity start with street shop and at night sidewalk food vending stalls. To have a good time in Yogyakarta this Hotel is met our expectation, cause the hotel is manage by group of people like a family.

We spend 4 nights in this hotel to visit the nice places in and around Yogyakarta. This hotel is really nice and has a nice garden. Every afternoon we did enjoy the tea and small bit we got. The restaurant is as well very good indonesian style. We would definitely come again. Thank you very much.

Clean but noisy”
Peti Mas is a clean hotel located a short work from Malioboro. Check in was quick and room was pleasant - no fridge or coffee making facilities which for this price would be expected. Breakfast had to be ordered from a limited list in the afternoon which is a bit weird as I don't really know what I fel like then. Staff were pleasant enough. The one reason I would not rebook here is that the hotel has not one but two mosque loudspeakers on its roof, You cannot get away from the noise and it is very very loud . Unfortunately we were there for Ramadan and suffered through a whole day and night of stereophonic noise - even on a normal day though the noise level is too much.

Small but great hotel with superb location”
the first day we reached the hotel, we are served with welcome drink and cake (it's my first time experience staying in hotel with free dessert.) In fact, they also served snacks and tea on the second day and third day~We like the service! We are impressed by the garden-styled toilet.(However, don't forget to close the toilet door if you don't wish to get mosquitoes' bite). We enjoy most in the morning with the birds' singing. The staff put a lot of work into manicuring the garden and the plants. We appreciate the wonderful and lovely scenes in garden and swimming pool. We like the friendliness of the staff there. They don't mind to help us to change our money into small notes.They let us take outside food using the dining table in the restaurant. The hotel is near with mosque since you can hear the prayers' sound. Since we have already get used to this in our own country, we can sleep as nothing in the hotel~but for those who can't get used to it, do bring your earplug~ Overall, we enjoy our staying in the hotel
