Overall a really nice place, but must have been absolutely amazing when it was new, like a lot of places that went through the pandemic there is decent amount differed maintenance, pool could use some cleaning, weight room carpet smells a little... having said this I will happily stay here again, easily worth the small price they charge and the Manager and staff were wonderful...

Great laid back location. Beautifull situated. Very helpfull staff. I mistaked the date off my non refundable booking. They did all effort to contact Agoda to have it changed. Nice restaurant. Good breakfast. Specious bungalows, very clean. Highly recommended

Nice resort - transport/taxi needed”
Good large resort with individual clean huts as rooms. It’s not super close to anything so make sure you have transport or are ok with taxis. Pool had a bit of a chemical taste/smell. Check the reviews on the restaurant if you intend on staying within the resort for a few days. I would still stay there again.

Beyond expectation”
I stayed on superior bungalow. It’s very nice and clean. All facilities are good enough for me. Nice staff and delicious meals both breakfast and dinner. If I go to Chiang Rai again, I will stay here as well.

Excellent hotel. Unbelievable value”
Beautiful hotel just to the north of chang rai. Staff were brilliant and helpful rooms are five star and the grounds are gorgeous. Nice and quiet but five minutes into town by taxi for £2. Due to corvid the hotel was very quiet but ridiculously good value. Even at normal prices I would thoroughly recommend it for a stay in chang rai.

One of the nicest resort in Chiangrai”
I was glad to have stayed here during my stay in Chiangrai. The place is near the city proper, landmarks and tourist attractions. It's also filled with lots of trees and bushes. The fishes on small canals that they have built were surprise. The staffs were also polite and accommodating. I would love to stay here again when I visit Chiangrai.

It’s a wonderful place”
A little bit of deferred maintenance, that seems to be common at most the mid range hotels I stay at lately (Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore & Thailand) I’m sure it’s because they’re still recovering from being shut down for so long. I absolutely positively will stay here the next time in town. The manager agreed me by name, staff were always extremely helpful and helped me hire a car for a day.

We stay at the Pawadol several times a year when visiting family in Chiang Rai. I love walking through the property and using the pool. They have great bathtubs and keep the rooms very clean.

Great spacious room with nice surroundings”
It was a nice big room with a nice sitting area outside. Staff are friendly and location is good if you have your own set of wheels. Tap in toilet is loose but still usable. Switches for lights a little wonky but manageable. Pool and gym does not look well maintained. Overall it was still a good stay.

Phowadol resort is a nice place, just outside Chiang Rai, convenient for getting to main sites if you have your own car. If you do not have your own transport I would not recommend this place. Maybe because it is off season it felt a bit run down. The ponds which the villas surround were murky and green which spoils a beautiful layout design. Our villa was spacious and comfortable with a nice seating area as well as the bed area. However, the phone did not work which meant no room service ordering nor arranging the ground transport for luggage collection etc and this was not fixed despite reporting it. Also the wifi was poor and despite two staff members trying to fix it I was unable to get wi-fi on my iPad throughout the stay, it only worked in the restaurant. Very disappointing and inconvenient. However, given the special price option it was worth the money paid. However, I would probably look at other alternatives in Chiang Rai next time.
