This is a great find! I've stayed on Phratamnak Hill many times but nothing compares to Centara. If the building itself was in any downtown area it would be 5 stars no doubt. For Pattaya it is truly a fantastic property. The only negative is that from the fifth floor down the ocean vista includes the back of some townhouses across the street. A higher floor would fix that but one visit to the rooftop pool or the beach and I didn't care about the view from the balcony. The unobstructed view from the pool area is one of the best I've seen in Thailand. I'll be back!

From Suvarnabhumi Airport, we took a tourist shuttle bus to Pattaya (about 2 hrs) and stopped at a terminal to transfer to a shuttle van that would transport us to our hotel. we passed by a string of small to good sized hotels, uncertain how our Royal Cliff choice would relate from beautiful pictures to the actual thing. When we reached Royal Cliff, away from all the bustle of busy Pattaya, my first impression was "paradise!". our well appointed mini-suite was as promised in the pictures; Agoda has made everything easy for us. Checking in was a breeze. all the amenities provided nothing but tranquil relaxation for our family, giving us every opportunity to bond and have fun together. since its quite a distance from the town proper, taxi cab is the mode of transport often used to get to night markets, outlets and the thousands of restaurants. It is best to know though beforehand of any special events or holidays because some roads are closed to traffic. in our case, the Sonkran Festival made us miss the opportunity to visit the Sanctuary of Truth,eg. but we were able to go to Buddha Hill near our hotel amd it was such a great experience. Thais are quite as hospitable as Filipinos and that is just great!

Very good hotel. Located up the hill not far from Pattaya, but isolated enough if you want to escape from this bustling city. The hotel has everything you can ask for. Fabulous facilities, many swimming pools, chill-out areas, restaurants and even its own private beach. Great service. Very recommendable!

When I tell people “Pattaya’s a wonderful. Place. Clean beaches. Quiet. Jungle setting,” they think I can’t be talking about the same Pattaya they know. . For everyone who hates some areas of Pattaya, Birds & Bees is a revelation. It’s perched on a hill over a pretty beach with a view to Koh Lan. Come stay here. You may never stay anywhere else in Pattaya again. Amazing restaurant overlooking the beach. Better than average breakfasts looking over the water. Some of the budget rooms are... well... budget rooms. But the fact you can stay on THIS spectacular 4 star property at a budget 2 star rate is a tribute to the owner, who could have made all the rooms $200 a night. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean and sunset is simple, and wonderful.

For the discerning traveller, the centre of Pattaya is best avoided unless you are happy to mix in close proximity with hoards of relatively unsophisticated Chinese tour groups or the recent influx of Russians. I have lived in Thailand about 22 years and this location is by far the best within easy reach of Bangkok. The rooms are well appointed including a bath as well as the usual shower and the Internet works well enough to stream programmes from favourite sources without relying on the selection provided by the hotel itself. Technically, the quality of the hotel channels is as good as I have seen and the selection is also not too bad though I prefer to access my own programmes using the Internet. A small gripe is the rather extortionate cost of breakfast in the hotel though I usually rent a car for trips outside Bangkok and prefer to find my own breakfast in nearby cafes. The views from the balconies towards Ko Lan and Pattaya City, including wonderful sunsets, are as good as they get in Thailand.

We (My wife, my one-and-a-half-year daugther and me) had a great time there! The resort is pretty new and well maintained. On a (small) hill top, it's landscape is beautiful... plus there are lots of BIG trees that make it cooler during the day. The room is also great... one king bed with pillows of your selection (super plush or quite thick.) There are one rain shower and a bathtub. The amentities are completed, supplied by THANN,...wow! There is also a FREE minibar in the room... few snacks and drinks (juice, milks) and a coffee machine (capsule-type... but the taste is not bad)... another wow! Another highlight for us is the all-you-can-eat a la carte breakfast. There are nine stes for you to choose from...as many as you want, but before 1030AM. We've tried 4 of them and we loved ALL (I love the Japanese version most - grilled salmon with miso soup.... wow!) The staff is super helpful and so the service is great. On the negative side.... there is no beach (...there is .... but you should not swim there... I suggest.) And the inifinity pool, though it is beautiful, is quite small. One evening we go dipping with other two families with kids... it's quite crowded. In summary, I think this place is more for a romantic couple (no matter how old are them, haha) rather than a family with kids. But...anyhow... it's one of the best place I've visited recently. And I guarantee you that it'll worth every penny (or satang) of you!!! WOW!

First of all, this hotel accepts chinese tourist by bus loads, so if you can’t take that then this hotel is not for you. Reached the hotel around 3pm and was told my room was not ready due to late checkout of previous customers. Was offered an upgrade but without the seaview which i booked but had to turn it down as it wasn’t much of an upgrade either. Staff were very friendly though. The housecleaning staff forgot the hand and face towels the first day, probably due to the rush to cleanup the room. Lightings in the room cannot be switched on and off individually as they run on a programme. Bathroom floor is slippery when wet, very common in thai hotels i noticed. Pillows were a tad too soft. Breakfast spread was good. Plenty of charging ports in the room. Don’t really have space for luggage. Key card somehow cannot be used after the second day and had to be reset.

staff are fun to talk with. hotel pools and layout are amazing. infiniti bar for sunset drinks was awesome. Only thing is the room furniture is dated compared to other 5 stars. 5 minute drive to cosy beach (as hotel does have a sandy area but no beach front and only small area to get into the ocean) and bali hi pier if wanna go to koh larn (island with clear water, 1 hr ferry ride or 15 min speed boat). food at the hotel was good and enjoyed the happy hour drinks. good escape if wanna go to a peaceful resort.

Check in was smooth and everything is well informed to us by the staff. I would have gave an all 5 stars except that water heater in one of the room that was broken and our laundry was delayed when it was promised to be sent to us at 9 - 10am, PS: we waited till 12:45 pm for the laundry.

We stayed here for 4 nights for vacation. I travel alot for a living and have stayed at many hotels. I have to say this is one of the best hotel I have stated at. If you can afford the high room price, I would highly recommend. The hotel room was beautiful with two balconies (1 for relaxing on beach chairs and 1 for private outdoor dining). The bathroom was the best feature with the jacuzzi, private toilet room, and separate walk in shower room, all made out of marble tiles. We did ordered room services for lunch our first day and it was great with delicious food and prompt service. All the staffs were great and very professional. They all took off their shoes before entering my room at any time. The room was a true suite being the living room and bedroom were actual separate rooms. The sea view from the room was magnificent. Breakfast was really delicious with many selections. It was a-la-carte from a dine-in menu instead of the buffet style. They did tell us we can order as much as we want from the dine in menu. We had the egg benedict, grilled steak, pastas, fresh juices, crossiants and a few other stuffs. Very high quality grade ingredients. Overall, we would love to stay again. Altough for the high price we paid for the suite room, we did get our money worth. A++ to the staffs and the hotel.

The hotel is close by the bus terminal. Yoou can either walk five minutes up the hill or take the 10baht taxi. The hotel is welcoming, clean, modern. The room was complete with a marvellous bed. Domotique controls on a bedside unit enhaces the pleasure your stay. The hotel pool was open well into the evening which is a godsend for someone to relax in. Breakfast...standard but very good, good coffee and exccellent Thai soup. I had a promotional price.....best best for money I have experienced in Thailand...well anywhere for that matter. By the way, its not near the night life in Pattaya, but I knew this, but the 10baht taxi stops outside so why care?

If you are looking for private villa this is the one. We stayed in 4BR with Pool. An amazing experience, very friendly staff, it is close to all amenities and beach. Look no further and book this one as you won’t be disappointed. The only issue was finding the location as you list first go to their office which is quite close but wasn’t communicated to us properly.

I stayed here with my friends. The place was good and there were enough beds for 5 people. One thing we were disappointed was that one of the bathrooms smelled like the sewage during the whole stay. Apart from that, staff was very nice and tried their best to provide good service. Oh, and they also made a taxi reservation back to the airport in Bangkok and they even got it at a discounted fare.

A very wonderful and beautiful place and I would like to thank Mr. Phil for the warm welcome its beautiful location and I would recommend this hotel to stay for all family's to the villa from the inside contains the rooms comfortable and harmonic and furniture in colors in the whole place is wonderful and will be back to hotel again thanks arabella

Nice and huge place. Staff are accmmodating. Unfortunately i thought i booked sweet villa 5 and specifically requested that,when we arrived it is sweet villa number 3 and had to contact agoda. Just disspointing

very interesting location of this hotel on pratumnak hill. big swimming pool with jacuzzi. friendly staff. we stay in an exotic room above the hotel ( kind of chalet ).

Booked the hotel for my mum and auntie and they loved it. It is right next to the beach and all kinds of amenities are nearby. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet and safe place, this 'royal' area is pretty ideal. But if you are looking for a wild night out every other day at or near the infamous Walking Street, you will need to walk about 15mins up the hill, get to the main road and get those public Song Tiew (tuk tuk like transport that cost just 10bahtt/ person) which will take just under 10 mins to get there. Or you could simply hire a bike taxi (60-100baht) or a cab (150-200baht).

First, the location is not so convenient. It located in Pratumnak Hill. It takes 30 minutes walking to Pattaya City. Highly recommend you to rent a car or motorbike if you booked this. Otherwise, you have to call a taxi or a GrabCar everytime or walk for a long period of time. Second, the staff are very nice. I met a staff who called Ninny. She kindly answered all the question we asked and tell us the information about Pattaya. Also, Irene Shirokaya, the person-in-charge patiently answered all my enquiry in the email. Thanks so much for that. Thirdly, this villa is tidy and neat. Everything is fine. It has air-conditioner, heater, fridge-freezer, boiler... etc. The only dissatisfaction is that there are no hair dryers. It brings us some inconvenience. Lastly, This villa is very suitable for budget-travellers and family. I booked this house for 3 nights and it just cost about £210 in the summertime. I recommend this villa but you must decide different other factors before booking.

This hotel is situated in North Pattaya which is about 20 mins from the main Pattaya town/beach area. Location is on a hill and very quiet and its right next to the Sheraton. its apartment styled suites with full amenities for self-catering. Queen size bed is small but has a living room area for good space. Comes with Microwave, electric Oven, plates, glasses etc. A bit jaded but still well kept and clean. Quiet surroundings. As its located on the hill, a bit difficult for elderly people as need to walk uphill or downhill to the swimming pool and restaurant. Parking is limited. Close to the nicer part of the beach, cleaner, less touristy traffic. No shops surrounding the area so if no transport may be an issue, but there are taxis and motorcycles waiting outside the Sheraton which is just 2 mins away. For the price, its a good stay.

location is only for the guests that don't mind to take motorcycle taxi from the main road or pay the taxi truck to get them inside the soi. if you have a car or motorcycle, it is the best! it is about 1km away from the main road on the hill between south pattaya and jomtien. it is for those who like quiet places. it is like a residential area which fits us very well. enough 711 and restaurants around nearby. positives: great and huge rooms with cable tv and and good ac, very nice and spacious shower. parking is convenient under the hotel. if it is full, easy to park on the street which is very wide. swimming pool on 2nd floor. very nice with shower and toilet. sun only reaches the pool until about 2pm. negattives: they do not provide facial tissues which nowadays even cheap boutique hotels provide. the bed is a bit hard and uncomfortable but this wont ruin the stay. it is ok, you will be too tired to think about this anyway. in princess suites the double bed in 2 pieces with a tiny gap in between. they forgot to replace the toilet papers! :!:@$$%#!? also forgot to replace the daily complimentary instant coffee. at the first place they did not provide us a laundry bag (forgot again?) which we didn't need anyway but at the check out they asked us if we took it because they don't find it. well..... i think that housekeeper will need a practice or replace herself is better... breakfast we don't know. we could not wake up in time ;) overall: we will definitely go back and i suggest this place. i liked it a lot although i hate to ask for things that they should do themselves.

Was more than happy with this hotel. Yes, out of the way from Pattaya. But when you think about it, you are right in the middle of Pattaya and Jomiten Beach. Quit, very safe !! More so than Pattaya. They rent motobikes for you to get around. Mostly Euro Guest. The Manager more than helpful. The rooms were amazing, modern and large. Great Pool..the best restuarant I have eaten at in a long time..French and the meat A++ quality. And I have been in Thailand for over 3 months now. The best in all cases. Best for the value. They could improve on their small TV (all french channels) But who wants to spend the time watching. OK internet..works. But I will stay here again and again when I go to Pattaya.

The cleanliness of the toilet could be improved, there was a stench coming out from the toilet and was discomforting but the smell was gone when I was inside the toilet. The toilet looks old and could be improved and please oh please improve the pressure of the shower cause very little water was coming out of it. Overall the price I paid for staying here was worth it and I got a balcony too! Lastly, the service of the staff was great! Very friendly and professional. I'd say the best part of this hotel was the staff.

Note: This was the first leg of my very first trip to Thailand, so I can't compare to other hotels in Pattaya, only to other hotels I subsequently visited on my trip, or to similarly-priced hotels in Singapore, Taiwan and China. the suite was very affordable. Very clean. I found the staff very unobtrusive, but friendly and helpful when needed. Location: The hotel is about 5' (slow) walking distance from Walking Street and shopping districts. In most ways it's nice be removed from all the activity. On the other hand, the hotel is not on regular tuk-tuk routes, so you may be charged extra (I was quoted twice 150 baht/person from WS) if you would rather not walk back (for example carrying something heavy/bulky). Minor cons: 1. I found that the AC was way too cold and hard blowing, but then I generally have that problem in Asia, so it my be a problem with me :-) 2. Due to 1. above, the lack of tissue paper in the suite was inconvenient. Until then I had never been in a hotel room that did not provide tissues, even in cheap hotels. Apparently this is a Thailand thing [???] because none of the hotels on this trip provided tissues either. 3. The safe was large enough for my 15' MacBook Pro, but will not fit bulkier PC laptops. The hotel has a restaurant that looks (and smells) very good, and is packed every night with couples & groups. As a solo traveler I did not feel that I fit in and did not try the food.

That was a pleasant stay. The location, close to one of the best beaches around, was a great plus, and the receptionists absolutely nice and always willing to help. Very thanks to all their advises. For the room, it was good but 1) the mattress was not good, too old, not comfortable at all, and 2) I believe the window on the the corridor or common public place is not a great idea. The weak point is the restaurant. The place is clean, the staff was nice, but the tattoo bodybuilding manager of the restaurant was execrable, talking rude ; the food was unfortunately too salty, tasty but not well cooked (I live for 20 years in South-East Asia, so I believe I can talk about that), and on top of that, the ingredients used were probably the cheapest they could buy (pure industrial worst quality meat). Good point to finish, Tony Service, a rental little shop providing great motorcycles at reasonable price. I recommend to book 1 when arrival, he doesn't have so many.

Excellent stay. One of the best 3-star hotels in Pratamnuk Hill. The service from staff is better and more attentive than some 4-star hotels I have stayed at in the area. Staff knows English well so they can and will address all needs or issues unlike many other hotels in this class. TV selection is very good. Great restaurant with all kinds of sports broadcasts and newspapers from all over the world. Studios are large and well equipped. Highly recommended at $30/night for studios.

I could not speak highly enough of this new gay resort hotel. Attention to fine detail in every way in the rooms. Everything working. Quality gymnasium. Excellent and reasonably priced gymnasium. Beautiful warm pool. Theres about 200 paces from the front door, up a slight hill to the main pattaya-jomtien road where Baht buses run in either direction every few minutes. The owner Jimmy has given a very strong calm, almost 'spiritual' feel to the place, a real Thai feeling.

he hotel place on hillside of Khao Phra Tamnak where we had goodview of New Year Count Down and firework all around. Good standard service and comfortable room. I'll back here again next chance.

The main Building "G" of the Grande Caribbean Resort is the only worth while Part of the resort as all the Main Facilites are in that 30 floor Building . We would highly recommend The 17th Floor Ocean view apartments that give a wonderful View to the ocean looking to wards the Island of Ko Larn with all the dozens of fishing boats all lit up every evening . The resort is a short walk to the beach or just a 10baht bus ride away , wonderful pools (5) Pirate ships waterslides , Fitness centre , spar and sauna rooms A great resort at a good price Michael

This review is exclusively written for the discerning travellers who are capable of sifting the diamonds from the pebbles. If you consider yourself a spendthrift, stop reading and move on to the next review. This is the “thinking man's hotel” as I'm about to unravel the best kept secret in Pattaya. The 2-year old building is nestled at the edge of the famous Pratumnak Hill between the deafening music of Gogo bars along Walking Street and the tranquil beach in Jomtien. You get the best of both worlds in terms of location, and whatever the hotel lacks in facilities the management more than make up for it in service with the meticulosity of a Stradivarius craftsman. The absence of a swimming pool and a fitness centre may have been the hotel's Achilles heel, but then again the hotel harbours no ambition to pitch itself against the likes of Central Festival Hilton in the hardware segment. The software battlefield is where the hotel continually raises the bar and puts its rivals to the sword. At a little more than than 600 baht per night, the hotel trades blows with its closing rival - The Red Planet Hotel, formerly known Tune Hotel and managed by Air Asia Sdn Bhd. Both hotels share similar hardware, but T5 offers a transfer service from Thepprasit Bus Terminal @ 10 baht person. If this is still not enough to set your heart racing, let it be known that all room rates are inclusive of ala carte breakfast complete with brew coffee and squash orange juice. The free breakfast delivers a knockout punch to all its rivals and effectively puts an end to any tug of war in the budget hotel segment. I have compared T5 with The Red Planet Hotel because the latter under Tune Hotel franchise has always been the industrial benchmark for budget hotels worldwide. With all due respect to all other budget hotels, the city of Pattaya must now welcome a budding young hotelier in T5 Suites.

What can I say about here ?, our room was magnificent, I couldn't have asked for better, the cleanliness of the place was superb , but the best thing about here, was our host, I think her name was Naed, if I'm wrong, I'm sorry, I lost my passport, and she let me use her phone to call the British embassy in Bangkok, a truly wonderful gesture, it you are the company that owns this place, she deserves some recognition, a fantastic person in a wonderful place to stay
