You must stay here if you are coming to Phu Quac. It is located right off of a main road minuets away from a grocery store and lots of restaurants. It is a five minute walk from the beach. I stayed one night somewhere on the beach, but ended up coming back to the phu house because none of the roads from the beach are lit at night! The staff here is truly amazing. I the receptionist Trinh was especially so kind and helpful. I also did the cooking class and ended up being the only one doing it. Troc was so amazing and enthusiastic about his work. I spent a week here and If i could stay longer I would!!!

Get the rooftop room”
Please can I move here. Even by looking pretty instagramable we enjoyed the charming apartment on the top floor. I could literally buy the flat with all its interior. The staff was very helpful and we would come back here immediately

Best bang for your buck!”
I never leave a review but here I am. It’s a hostel with private rooms. Has clean hot showers, rooftop bar, and pool tables. What else are you gonna ask for. Location is literally 3 min walk to most popular bars and restaurants. Bike rental is 120-150k a day. Staffs are incredibly helpful, especially short, salt and pepper haired girl. She went out of her way and beyond to check our tour info. Recommending everyone here!

The owner was very kind and warm. She guided me the way to the beach. At the time when I want to extend my staying, she recommended me to go to agoda for cheaper price instead of directly charging me. Decor was very nice with old school style but very convenience inside.

*DO NOT BOOK BUS TO CAMBODIA THROUGH THIS HOSTEL (Sea Flower Travel is the agency they use) It was the worst travel day we have had to date. We were charged $10 USD more for our Visa's, had to wait 2+ hours at the boarder while other travelers passed through with ease, were in a 15 person van that picked up multiple locals on the way (there ended up being 28 people in a 15 person van), we were told we would get there at 6pm and did not arrive until 8pm, and were told we would get dropped off in the city centre but were dropped off 30-45 minutes outside of the centre where tuktuks were waiting to try and charge us $20 USD to get to our hostel. *The hostel itself was very clean, comfortable, and had nice sized bedrooms and the bathrooms were the nicest shared bathrooms we have had during our 1.5 month travel. The offer free beer every day and the staff speak great english.

The staffs are very friendly. Hostel is clean and is not in the center of the city (not so noisy). Very convenient as opposite has massage center and convenient shop.

Friendly staff but poor service and facilities”
To be fair, Phu House is located on the main road but close to the beach and near the night market, these are its advantages. The staffs are courteous and friendly. However, the facilities here are very poor. The hotel looks more gloomy in the pictures. Its architecture and the lighting system made it so that at night, it was necessary to use the phone's flash to ascend stairs. The double rooms have no windows overlooking the sky, only 1 window overlooking the dark hallway. So, the room is small and secretive. The bathroom shower was leaking water. After showering, all the mirrors and the outside sink are wet. Not much hot water. Wait more than 5 minutes but there is no hot water. The air conditioner in the room cannot adjust the temperature. There were 2 nights when the room was icy and 2 nights the room became hot and hot. There were lots of mosquitoes in the room, even when the doors were closed.

I truly love this place. the staff are honest, was and friendly, especially the security guard who makes sure you are safe and having a good time. My stay on Phu Quoc island was magical thanks to this place. Phu house has free pool table, ping pong and foosball which is fantastic to make friends with other travelers. They also have amazing drink specials on their rooftop which showcases one of the best views of the sunset on the island. I truly love this place and it's people.

A new hostel space has opened in Phu Quoc that aims to turn the world into a big happy family with chic asian interior design. Located right in the heart of Phu Quoc and opposite to the Coi Nguon Museum if you wanna take a glimpse of the island history and culture. For as little as $7 a night, beds are an excellent, safe, and cleanly alternative to hostel grime.

Phu Quoc is still a few years away from getting where it's going, so the night life and atmosphere on Long Beach is still pretty quaint compared to other parts of Vietnam. Still, Q Hao is a short walk from the beach, places like Rory's, and you can book all sorts of tours and motorbike rentals from this location. The hostel itself is incredible. Great skybar, rooms are clean and orderly, bathrooms are great, it's just an awesome joint all around. All it needs now is a little action and higher volume of traffic, but like I said, give it a few years.
