A simple, no-frills guesthouse in a great location”
We had a pleasant stay at Phu Quoc An Guesthouse. For three of us we booked the family room with three beds (two queens and one single/full) and it didn't disappoint in size: there was more than enough space for us to spread out. Would have been nice to have a triple room option with three singles (and a lower price to reflect the lower maximum occupancy), but this room was more than large enough for us and still fit within our budget. Room is simple but has everything we needed, including one thing that wasn't necessary but was mildly surprising (if you book the family room, check out the painting prominently featured on one of the walls!). Room has everything as advertised, though the sheets and covers look a bit dated and may be very old. One of us got a lot of mosquito bites during the night we stayed here, though I personally didn't get bit or see any of the little buggers. Room was up a narrow flight of stairs, which wasn't an issue for us but may be for some. We didn't try the food, but prices looked reasonable. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. WiFi has received mixed reviews, but worked well for me. Overall, an inexpensive option for lodging in the middle of the Long Beach area and within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and only twenty minutes (or a cheap taxi ride) to town and the night market there. If you're fussy about the appearance of your room you'll probably be able to find more updated linens/newer facilities elsewhere. Would recommend to budget travelers.

Good hotel, nice location”
The rooms are spaceous and clean. The window was useless since the next building is just an inch next to it. The staff helped well with bus tickets. The beach is close. However, it‘s rather crowded. Therefore, we usually went to other beaches with the motorbike. Food options and shops are nearby

Room 302 had excellent porch that overlooked the Gulf of Thailand. ”
Staff were friendly and attentive. Room 302 exceptionally good value. Best seafood tempura on earth one block away (Red Snapper). Add lime juice to it and you are in heaven.

Great value for money”
We absolutely loved this place. Very close to the beach, close to nice restaurants. Good price for laundry and motorbike. Close to the market and also easy journey to Sao Bao beach. The staff don’t speak much English but we quite like this. Clean and a perfect stay!

Great Value”
Easy to reach from the airport, 10 minutes. Location just out of town and well within walking distance to the beach, Long Beach. Breakfast daily, use of bikes. Well informed staff, a scooter rental and any bookings you need. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

I paid around 13 dollar a night pre-booked. You will probably not need to book in advance in the low season (May to November), and you can probably get the room cheaper by visiting them in personal. I think that not every room are listed. Rooms are basic, the reception can store you passport in his safe for you. The Guesthouse have a securityguard hole night. That's good, because the doors to the room is not stronger then paper. I can probably break the door by only use 2 fingers. But the guesthouse have a familytouch and they try help you with your questions and problems. But you get what you pay for..

this was great value , room had a frodge,TV and air con .room was clean. Staff were nice and can do laundry and hire bikes for average price. The location was fine for us as 5 mins to beach and also lovley restaurants on the way, but the main town is quite far but no probs if you wanna get a moped or they will call a cab. Criticism would be that the WiFi on our floor sucked and was annoying

Good 1 star hotel”
We stayed here for 2 nights. There were a lot of mosquito but I think it's OK, everywhere in PQ was the same with that problem. My room was clean but my uncle room, on the rooftop, had a problem with the toilet's flooring, it was so high that made it difficult and dangerous to move, especially for the elder. We didn't have food in the hotel so there's no comment. The nearest beach, Bai Dai, is a best place to take a rest: quietly and peaceful, but the food service was no good. I love PQ and will be back here soon.

Disappointed”
Completely covered in bites (all over my body) can't say it was sand flies from the beach as no one else got any bites so I can only guess it's from the bed. Had a look at the mattress and it is literally foam with one protective sheet on (which is what you sleep on). Staff were okay but even though we had alreay paid for the room and it had a spare bed we still had to pay more for an extra guest. Had to surrender our passports at checkin aswell. Wifi connection was about the only positive. Wouldn't stay again as its overpriced and I'm now suffering with 50+ little itchy bites all over my body!!

Suiable for low budget trip”
Good location and clean. However the room 001 is close to the street that it is too noisy and hard to sleep at night. Room 003 has a smell of dung in all 3 days, please solve immediately.

Close to long beach ”
This place is ok. Nothing special. Far from the main town. They have free bikes but all 10 are literally broke. You can rent a motorbike for $7 a day. It's within 5-10 min walking to long beach. There are signs that say breakfast lunch dinner and we saw menus. However when we sat down they said they don't serve food after the staff told me the previous night they do and there are signs posted that they do as well. The beds are literally so hard. They do clean your room everyday and bring you new towels. No hot water. Ac works great. Construction right next door so be prepared to be up early from the noise.
