The owners here went above and beyond to make us even happier than we were. They taught us a lot about the forest and farming on the island. They filled our mornings with smiles and laughter. They scolded us when we didn’t bargain enough… True, they don’t speak much English, but that just adds to the fun, and when all else fails, google translate. The huts are cute and you get to see monkeys in the trees and birds on the reservoir. It’s perfectly situated between the good beach and the town, so you can stroll into town for tasty lunches and dugong viewing from the pier and then pop to the beach for sunset cocktails. And the restaurant next door serves big portions. Will definitely be coming back soon.

The best stay in beautiful Koh Mook”
The owners of the Phusambig are so lovely. They helped us with a lot of things during our stay. They gave us bottles of water everyday, they cooked so delicious. The environment is beautiful and Phusambig is just in the right place, 10 minute walk from the lovely Charlie beach and 20 minute walk to town. You can rent a scooter very easy or take a motorbike taxi. I really really recommend booking with Phusambig!

We loved our stay at PhuSamBig Resort. It is in a beautiful open location in the middle of the island.. We stayed in one of the larger bungalows which had more room and a pleasant patio to sit outside. We didn’t use the air con, just the fan. Good facilities and an assorted breakfast menu...very tasty dishes! The bungalows are about a 10 minute walk to the beach with several restaurants along the way. The walk is shady and full of leafy trees and the sounds of insects and birds...beautiful! Would love to return here one day!

The staff are so sweet and welcoming! Rooms and bathrooms are comfy and clean. Screens on windows and sliding doors. Strong fans. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Centrally located and close walk to Charlie Beach. Wifi works better in some rooms than others. No hot water, but that’s standard in cheap rooms on Thai islands. Great place with an amazing family!

We enjoyed our 4 nights stay there! The bungalow was nice and clean, the grounds well kept, the owners very friendly. It's closer to the sunset beach than the village, which makes up for nice walks. You could take a "taxi" to reach, however we never did as it was enjoyable to walk. Would stay there again!

Mountain Island Retreat”
Sweet family owners Very quiet island with everything cheap in spite of the remoteness. We are told peak season is very busy. I expect services in restaurants and hotels will be strained when it's peak season. But when we went we were treated like kings and the air was so fresh (July) we didnt need A/C (this room was not AC)

A very good place to stay in if you like tranquility. I tried three places on the island and this is definitely the most quiet one (no roosters, dogs or loud motorbikes to make you awake early). Phusambig is also 10min walk

A pleasant surprise, great value”
Clean, well maintained huts. the 'small bungalow' is tiny but has fridge, coffee, nice porch, Larger ones are almost spacious. Set in a single line down a flowery path in a rubber plantation, there is a feel of privacy and forest quiet. Restaurant presently closed. Better if you want to spend more time on Charlie beach or if you have a 2 wheeler.

Everything was just perfect.”
To us, Phusambig was the highlight of four weeks in Thailand. We stayed there for five nights in the "Villa Garden View" which was very well equipped, spacious and clean. The bungalows are surrounded by nature. It is a quiet and peaceful location. You can easily relax on the porch and listen only to the frogs and the crickets. If you want to go to one of the beaches, you can either walk (to Charlie Beach it takes maybe 10 minutes, to Sivalai Beach about 20/25 minutes) or rent a motorbike at Phusambig (250 Baht/day). Another option is to take a taxi (50 Baht/person). As the island is quite small, everything is easy to reach - like "supermarkets" or restaurants. You can also order some food in Phusambig or buy some snacks in the OK Mart right at the entrance. When we arrived, the Mart was closed, but the family that runs the hotel opened it - just for us - so we could get some drinks etc. Whenever we had any requests, they took care of everything. They are such kind and helpful people who make you feel really welcome. Their warm hospitality and the harmonious atmosphere at Phusambig made the days we spent there quite outstanding. We would definitely come back!

Great budget accommodation and the friendliest staff”
We had a great stay at Phusambig. The lady manager was lovely and was always smiling. She is an asset to the resort. The accommodation was good value for money and had the facilities you would expect from a budget resort. The location was good, with Charlie Beach only 10 minutes away. Do try the Hilltop Restaurant nearby. Really good food if you’re prepared to wait a little as everything is cooked fresh. All in all, a really enjoyable stay.

We loved our stay at Phusambig. The bungalows are spread in a nearly maintained garden. A/C is not really required as the air is pretty cool at night. The lady managing the resort is awesome and even managed our transfer to the airport. The breakfast is a la carte (3 items) and the fruit pancakes are yummy !

Very cozy place and friendly staff. The bungalow has a comfortable bed, pillows and clean bed sheet. Wifi is always working as well. Rent a bike in the reception to explore the island. Also, recommend their breakfast. Thank you Phusambig for a memorable stay!

Perfect and relaxed stay”
Pros: - nice, clean Bungalow (one with a fan, which was not too hot to sleep at night) - lovely lady and her sun were very friendly and funny. They cared for all our needs, we could rent a motorbike for 250 bhat/day, they organized our transfer back to trang and even got up earlier to serve breakfast on our last day - the breakfast!! Lots of variety, lots of fruit. egg and musli was tasty! The boy brought free bottled water, coffee and whitener to our Bungalow every afternoon which was a nice treat - their dogs - the peaceful atmosphere Cons: - don't know what the lady will do when the boy is at school - he could understand and speak English quite ok, but she didn't. But they were very engaged and I guess it will always work somehow Be prepared that there might be frogs coming for a visit into the bathroom :-) but that's perfectly fits to being in a dungle....

A great place to stay in Koh Mook”
Good value for money in Koh Mook. A little expensive though compared to what you can get on Koh Lanta or other bigger places. The bungalows are basic and need a little extra cleaning. The owner is very welcoming and nice and the Phusambig is located close to the restaurants and bar.

Beautiful Place”
A stunning location on the edge of the dam surrounded by beautiful gardens full of nature. Koh Muk is a basic island so to have great wifi, TV, fridge and air con what more can you ask for what you pay. People were friendly but didn't speak much English so this was left to the son who was great, helpful and did everything he could Breakfast was great, shame we didn't eat here in the evening. 10 mons stroll to Charlie's Beach and about 30 mins stroll to town or 100 bht in tuk tuk. Didn't want to leave and would definitely stay here again. Good luck.
