A modern hotel with friendly staff”
The room on the top floor had a great view and though small it had what we needed. Except for clothes hangers! Cleanliness was top rate. A special surprise was a goody bag for my husband's birthday - nice touch!

During my stay, the staffs were helpful and the location of the hotel is nearby malioboro but when you go on weekends, maybe the street will be more crowded but still good location The minus point was the shower hose was leaked so it didn't work properly maybe the hotel can fix it so the next guest will have a good bath 🙂

First of all, the location is the best for downtown accommodation, next to train station and popular malioboro area. But not even worth any penny for the room. Bed and pillows are smelly, damp, and stain all over the sheet. Room was smelly, a lot of bugs and stain, very dirty. Bathroom dirty, towels smelly. Breakfast just rice with gudeg and coffee or tea. Better to choose any hotels, it is like motel with 200.000 rupiah, never come back.

Strategic location, nice hotel service, must try!”
It was a pleasant and wonderful stay at Pop! Hotel Gandekan. A right choice by choosing this hotel for its strategic hotel location nearby Malioboro street with 5-10 minutes walking distance. The hotel staff is really nice and helpful. I remembered during the last day of stay which I supposed to check out by 12 o'clock. I went out early in the morning for tour and I thought I could make it on time to be back for check out but unfortunately I'm not. So when I got back to the hotel, their staff helped me to do extension without charges. The hotel design is very unique & attractive. Besides its concept is very good which I like it a lot. Must try hotel for any Pop! branches over Indonesia.

Great budget hotel close to Malioboro street. Clean rooms, beds the most important thing when it comes to a budget hotel and Pop Hotel delivers. Would be nice if there was a kettle in room but not a big deal. The breakfast is Indonesian which is a bit strange for foreigners but the fact they have free breakfast for the price is a bonus. Nothing really bad to say about this hotel. For the price it is great and the staff are all so friendly.

Great place to stay here! The location is perfect, it's walking distance to everywhere. It's near the train station and Malioboro Street. I enjoyed eating at the warungs and small roadside eateries nearby, the food are cheap and delicious. There is a great place for massage called Kakiku next door. If you're looking for money changers, walk to the train station and change money in that area instead of Malioboro area, the rates there are much higher. The breakfast at POP! Hotel is not very impressive though. I would definitely stay at POP! Hotel if I ever come again.

I arrived too early in this hotel on my first day in Yogyakarta. Unfortunately, they were fully booked and I may not be accommodated for check-in. I just asked the receptionist if I could stay in the lobby while waiting, and he said yes. It was 5am, and no restaurants were open yet. By 7, I told him that I'll have breakfast first. If you'd ask me, the wait is worth it. Facilities are nice, my room is also nice, with cable TV, hot shower, etc. I definitely will recommend this hotel.

Great. The staffs is very attentive to our request and question. They assisted us in many ways they can. Cleanliness good. Hot and cold water provided. Juat too bad, the brrakfast not too vary. But hey, what do you expect from 2* hotel? 😄 overall, this is a great hotel, value for money and definitely will come back again to stay whenever Im going to Yogyakarta

Clean, cheap and exactly what we needed. ”
We stayed for 2 nights. Our room was very clean and tidy and plenty of space for us 2. The air con worked really well. The hotel offered a good deal for a sunrise trip to Borobudur which went very smoothly and was a comfortable ride. The location was a short walk to the main Malioboro Rd where all the shops are and the mall. Bedhot Restaurant was also close by and had some delicious cheap meals. We didn't have the breakfast either of the mornings so can't comment on how good it is. We would stay here again.
