clean budget close to train station”
Ninety down to Ten - The Queen Hotel near Surat Thani Train Station is very convenient for those arriving late at night by train – the room I got was the same as advertised on agoda.com – with Agoda.com I paid $12.77 – the rate if you show up at the door was $9.96 (300 Baht – 06 / 2013). Large clean room, clean bathroom, good enough beds – clean linins and towel - no bed bugs or cockroaches - backpacker standard good to very good – flashpackers and suitcase travelers may not feel the same. I never received my 5:30 wakeup call but we all have cell phones with an alarm – don’t we. Toilets need to be flushed using bucket – normal SE Asia (it was a western toilet without tank), wet floor in bathroom – normal in SE Asia, minimal electrical outlets – normal in SE Asia, no hot water – normal in SE Asia, no elevator – normal in SE Asia - if you want western standards don’t expect to find them at any of the budget hotels in SE Asia. I was planning to leave a “Quite Acceptable” review but -------- The man behind the desk arranged transportation for the wife and myself – we were to be picked up from the hotel and taken by bus to Donsak pier then Express Catamaran to Nathon leaving at 8am – I was willing to pay the “Premium Price” to avoid hassles but instead we were booked a ticket that entailed additional transportation costs and legs then we were put on a slower single hull boat that left at 11 am – not what I was sold – not what I paid for. I hate lying thieving cheats so I have no choice than to downgrade the review to Disappointing – Would I stay there again – Yes. Would I do ANY OTHER business with them NO FRIGGIN WAY - NO, not even buy a bottle of water from them – room ONLY!!! Would I book through agoda.com again – reservation were in order and for the extra 25% that I paid to ensure that I had a room when I arrived – I guess - $3 isn’t going to kill me. An earlier post recommended that I catch the local bus (silver with red ribbon and white stripes) into

Stay one night with three under 5s, great night sleep. ”
After reading the other reviews I was reluctant to book. We turned up off a train at 2.30am and agoda had messed up the dates of my booking. However the guy on the desk allowed us to stay anyhow and he was very sweet. I'm very happy with this place. Clean towels, water and soap provided, even with a 220baht double room . Two mins walk from the station .

Conveniently situated by the train station”
You would probably only stay at the Queen Hotel if you are going to use the train. The room really is very basic, but the price is also very cheap. The room we slept in smelt a bit damp and wasn't particularly attractive. However, we needed somewhere to sleep when our train arrived at 4am and this was fine for that. The staff were very friendly.

Very close to the train station ”
The hotel is situated quite close to the train station in Surat Thani. For a one night stay it was very good because we reached at around midnight at the train station. It was clean and everything was working. But it's quite far to the centre of Surat Thani and you can take one of the busses departing next to the exit of the train station.

Very basic hotel”
Didn't really have much of a choice. My friend and me had an extremely late train out at Surat Thani train station and we needed a place to while our time away. Room had bare amenities, a bed, a toilet and a TV. Only shops that were open at that hour was the 7-eleven nearby. We were pretty impressed by the variety of channels on the TV though. There were far more channels in this dingy little hotel room then there were in any of the other upscale hotels that we had stayed in...combined! So yes, we did manage to while our couple of hours away at the hotel.

For one night it is ok ”
if you have morning flight from surat thani airport, it is worth to sleep here. price is not so high, condition is ok, and there's 12 km from the airport.

Close to the Train Station”
We had to catch a 1.00 am train from Surat Thani railway. This hotel was perfect to get out of the heat and rest up rather than sit at the train station in the heat. Food market nearby was a bonus, we had a great meal for a couple of dollars.

The best option hotel near railway station”
Good hotel if you can not directly go to airport or if you waiting train. AC has working good and there is a convenient store near the hotel. In the night, you can walking about 10 minute to night market which selling cheap food.

Minutes walk from the train station”
Not a clean, overly friendly, or impressive hotel - but two minutes from the railway station and no hassles. To qualify the ratings below - I had already read reviews of this hotel saying much the same thing, so ratings are in line with expectation.

Did the job”
The Queen Hotel is excellent for what it is meant to be: a cheap stop over hotel while you are awaiting a ferry, bus or train. It is clean and the staff are nice.

Only hotel by the train station”
This hotel is convenient because it is by the train station. There is no elevator, you have to drag your bags up yourself. No hot water, toilet does not flush, you have to do it manually. Sink drains on the floor and from there on into a drain. Shower is next to toilet but there is no defined shower area and it floods the bathroom. The bedroom had A/C, the bed was hard but the hideous covers smelled freshly washed. No light next to bed. All together the hotel gets 0 stars. 1 star for the bedroom and -1 for the bathroom. But it was convenient and an adventure.

Cheap but good value ”
I didn't arrive here with high expectations because of how cheap the room was. It was fine for a single night stop over and in a very convenient location near the train station. As long as you're not expecting luxury this will do the job!

Ghetto, run by a cadaver”
I realize the hotel was cheap, so i shouldn't complain too much. I got what i paid for and upon check-in the cadaver/hotel clerk stared at me without any emotion, and tossed my key on the desk, then went back to whatever she was doing. i left the hotel alive and safe, so overall a decent place to stay for an early train ride.

The only hotel near the railway station”
It is decent with the close proximity to the Surat Thani Railway Station. It is a hotel designed just to give backpackers like us a decent night sleep and rest before continuing our journey. There is nothing to see around the railway station as it is located at the skirt of Surat Thani.

For stopovers”
I stayed here waiting for a friend to arrive on a late train. Once you leave the train station, make a left and then a right and it will be on the right side. This place has been around a while and you can tell, but it does fill up as it's the only option by the train station, so if you have no where else to go while you are traveling, book here. Had a room with air. The room is what you would expect for the rate, just a place to stay.

Queen Hotel Surat Thani”
The hotel is very clean, for ~350baht I didn't expect much. Just a basic stuff and a place to rest for a night is considered ok.

The Worst Hotel I ever stayed”
First of all, for a cheap price you can not expect too much, but I actually don't like to share my room with ants, termites, cockroaches and other insects. The wooden doors were all full of termites. The floor of the bathroom full of ants and wood dust that the termites got out of the door frame. The bathroom had only cold water shower. The toilet nothing to flush. You have to flush with a little bowl. The toilet seat dirty and broken. The door to a kind of balcony was to small so that it was never closed. At the top of the door was a space of about 2 inches where at night time the moskitos were attracted by the light from the room and came in for a pleasure night. The TV with satelite channels was working nice for 2 hours but then maybe the receiver crashed and no more channels available.

Convenient, but not nice place to stay.”
We only stayed here because we had a late train into town and needed a place to crash before taking the bus/ferry to Ko Samui. The good news is that it is only a two minute walk from the train station, and from where you pick up the bus. The bad news, is that the place is not so nice, but I guess you get what you pay for. The room size was decent, but the bed was tiny and not comfortable at all. No A/C, and fan was not very powerful so had a horrible night's sleep. Bathroom was nasty. To flush the toilet you had to pour water down it. Cold shower was simply a hose coming out of the wall. It was actually kind of refreshing considering how hot it was in the room. Overall, you won't die if you stay here, and if you need a place to crash before heading to Ko Samui, it's basically your only option. At least the price is right.
