Pleasant one night stop over”
I decided to stay in Tak to break up the drive form Pai to Bangkok. The Rajaburi Boutique Hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. Conveniently located on the main road (and opposite 2 supermarkets), the rooms were very quiet and beautifully appointed. The bathroom was clean, with a bath and hairdryer. It'd expect to pay 3 times the price for the same in Bangkok. My only complaint is that the bed sagged a little, so my sleep wasn't as comfortable as it could have been. Other than that, the room was most impressive.

Worth for the money.”
Tak people are nice and helpful, most things are good and resonable price, the bus station located right in city center and very convenience to get to Chiangmai with a very low fare and safety. Tak is a peaceful place to visit. If you get the bus from Chiangmai to Tak, please take the one routing Chiangmai-Tak-Bangkok, you can ask the bus driver to drop you off right in front of the hotel.

Large hotel great for a quick stop over”
Located across the street from the big c and tesco, convenient location to explore the wonderful Tak. Rooms a decent size with a 2 seater couch as well. Shower over bath would have been very nice but the water pressure isn't great and neither was it very hot. Dinner in the front restaurant was very good and reasonably priced for a hotel. There is also a pub/nightclub downstairs which did have some noise spill into the room but quite minimal. Breakfast was alacarte, the thai porridge was straight out the microeave and luke warm, but showed promise. Wifi was quick and the bed was soft. If you head out for breakfast, then this hotel is well worth the stop for the night.

worth the money and very nice.”
It was in all a good stay. The only problem was that the although there was a bathtub in the bathroom (with a shower)... there seemed to be not enough hot water... it was tepid at best. But my stay was very nice... the bed was comfortable and the AC worked almost too well. The hotel did not seem busy at all and there is a nice bar/club below the Lobby. Over all... it was a nice place to stay when in Tak. Will stay there again.

Business hotel”
We spent one night at the Rajaburi Boutique Hotel in Tak. The price was reasonable and the room was big. It was not a special experience and there is not much to be said about it as it does not have any special features.

GENERAL OVERVIEW”
This was my 2nd trip to Tak and decided to try a different place to stay. 1st the staff speaks almost no English. You can tell the place had seen better days with maintenance neglect in elevator (only 1 working), hallways, and junk stored on stairways and floor level entrance. Room was lovely and oversized. Limit on power outlets (I always carry a power strip to handle phone and laptop). Front restaurant for breakfast is nice / OK - not included. It is a hike to get to the Lotus shopping center for food court. Had to drive a bit to find a 7/11 for sundries. Had a big party on 2nd floor and has a late night Thai bar / disco (didn't stay up to check it out). Felt the noise (I was there on weekend). I did notice the car park was still full around 5 am (disco stragglers) OK but non-Thai speaker may have trouble.

A pleasant surprise”
This was a pleasant surprise and a real value. Tak was a taste of real Thailand. Sunset and the food market on the river front was a delight. We were the only foreigners. The rooms were a duplicate of the fancy hotel we stayed T in attayu the night before. The free breakfast buffet was very good. The Asian breakfast was an extra so read the sign.

Quality accomodation at promotional price.”
This hotel is the mid way point to Northern Thailand. located on No. 1 superhighway on the opposite side if you're traveling from Bangkok to the North. From the Outside of the Hotel is a small signboard on the road level showing the hotel name in English. So if you don't read Thai, you have to look for the small signboard. You've to ask for rooms further away from the Karaoke, else you have to bear with loud music till 2am. Other than that, this hotel is a good deal in terms of comfort, service and food.

Very nice, clean gotel”
I stayed here with my family on my way north. It is a very convenient and comfortable hotel - rooms are newly decorated, staff friendly and informative, spacious car park. Tak has little to atract the tourist, so most people are in transit - making this rest-stop very good.

good hotel with a hot Thai disco attached”
this is a good stopping off place on the route between bangkok and Chiang Mai, if you happen to be driving. The rates are very cheap, and it appears to be a 4 star hotel. I got a deluxe suite, and it was about 700 bhat. It includes a free breakfast, which, like most free breakfasts in Thailand, isn't much other than coffee and some fruit and toast, but it's better than nothing. The Hotel is also located near the town of Dtak, which has some good markets. There's a hopping Thai disco located in the basement of the hotel, and there were about 500 motorbikes parked out front when we pulled up at about midnight. We were tired and so didn't check it out, but we could hear the music as we entered the hotel, and it sounded good. I'm sure it's a fun place, if you're up for a night of partying. We didn't hear the music from our rooms at all, however, and weren't bothered by the disco or the partygoers. So, this was no problem.

Travellers Hotel”
We stay at Tak because it is halfway from Bangkok to Chiangrai, although it could be a base for visiting the Burmese border at Mae Sot. This hotel is on the main road, away from the town and the river. The Junior Suite is very comfortable. Service is pleasant and the restaurant is very good, even featuring some European dishes. The main hotel is surrounded on three sides by a short time motel,so I was expecting the noctural comings and goings to be noisy, but we were not affected at all. All in all,as a travellers rest it is ideal.

Great Value”
We stayed in this hotel only one night as we drove from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. So glad we picked it, it was lovely, clean and modern. Good food and has a night club and karaoke bar underneath hotel. Did experience some noise but it wasn't enough to disturb us. The only bad experience we had is that the restaurant was full of mosquito's so bad that we had to go to car and get our mosquito spray. We are very happy with our stay and especially the price.

Great stop over point ”
Nice hotel for an overnight rest. Makes a good stop over if you are driving from the south of Thailand to the North. Breaks up the travel and is quiet a nice town to stay in. Tak has many places to visit while your resting.

Nice hotel and service”
Big room with all facilities but the warm water is not as good as it should be. The spa service is really incredible. So relaxing. Apart of that, I love Rajaburi. Breakfast has less choice than the other but it's ok for the rush morning.

good location and very nice rooms”
we found our room to be of a very good size and very comfy.the housekeeping was allways up to standard.even though there is a club inside the hotel, the noise-level was not a bother at any time.breakfast had a good selection ranging from western to thai foods.however the egg-station person seemed to feel he had to present an efficiant face and made his eggs in advance resulting in cold eggs for breakfast.i think thais dont mind this but western guests expect their food to be warm.my request to make my eggs fresh was promptly followed and i received my order with a smile!the on-site restaurant also served some very good food.

Not "Boutique" but OK for Tak”
Not really a boutique hotel, but an ordinary hotel with average style, cleanliness, food, etc. The "Junior Suite" room is similarly not really a suite, but nonetheless worth the extra price for the larger room and bathroom. My room was in the back side of the hotel, and was extremely quiet. The hotel is located across the highway from Big C and Tesco Lotus, making shopping extremely convenient, but it is about 4 km from the town centre, making it rather inconvenient if you don't have your own transportation. The hotel staff were very hit and miss... Upon arrival, the porter swiftly took care of my luggage, while the front desk staff seemed intent on ignoring me and frowning in the hope that I would go away on my own, and it took them some time to find my reservation. The younger front desk staff from another shift were much more friendly and welcoming. The hotel has free wi-fi in the rooms, with an array of hotspots, about half of which are actually working at any given time. Breakfast is quite decent for a hotel of this standard. There is also a restaurant which doubles as a karaoke bar at night, and a so-called "HiSo Pub".

Scope for improvement at the Rajaburi”
I would consider using this hotel again but would be tempted to try another in the hope of finding something better. It's a pity that the otherwise well presented and well equipped hotel seems spoilt by relatively minor aspects of management. Overall we felt the value for money was 'fair' but could easily be made excellent if the management philosophy were improved. The location is convenient for breaking the journey en-route to Chiang Mai and the north and Tak is a very pleasant location.
