The bedsheet was smelly, with bad odor. Unfortunately, when we discovered the problem, it's way passed midnight. So, decided not to disturb the house keeping and slept thru haphazardly.

Best Bang for Your Buck”
Redtop is probably one of the best bang for your buck in the area of the northern and central border of Jakarta. Taxi's are readily available at the front door. Hotel is an older style with very high lobby ceilings. The hotel itself is immaculate with a very kind and efficient staff. I have dealt with the evening manager name Hosein who is first rate. I have stayed in the standard rooms, Executive rooms to Plaza Club Suites. All rooms, gym, pool, restaurants are very nice. I have stayed there many times and will continue to do so and would recommend to my friends who are looking for a very nice hotel for the best bang for your buck. Thanks RedTop.

Reasonable Price Business Hotel”
Compare to similar priced hotel in the same area, Redtop is considered old, with wooden furnishing that looks 'well used'. I tried newer ones but still find Redtop most decent among the price range. The air-con is able to tune cold (I've been to newer hotels where I can't stay in the room during the day because of insufficient air con, and I lived in the tropics my whole life). Redtop has sufficient lifts, I tried other hotels where the lift carriages are always full of people and very slow. I think Redtop recently fix the card key issue so you don't get lock out due to 'expired' keys, then face the lift problem again. Also surprisingly (and happily), Redtop now has functioning WIFI! It actually works beyond the login page! BBM, Gmail, Facebook, Yahoo News no problem, hotel lobby, rooms all WIFI available. I chose this hotel due to business associate around the area, when the traffic is unbearable (around morning to early night), there are Chinese restaurants around, I also like a famous streetfood -pancake (Mutaba)shop. Together with the Hotel decent Western Food and coffee, I very much prefers to invite business associate to the hotel to eat/drink and discuss business. If you have been to Indonesia, experienced its hot and humid weather, terrible traffic jam in car with poor air con, you will greatly enjoy this Oasis.

Wonderfully preserved historical modern hotel”
Redtop hotel seems to be have built in the 1960-70s, with very typical "modernistic" architecture from that period. What is remarkable is that all is very well preserved, this hotel is almost like a museum of this period of architecture. The reception hall is very spacious and stylish, rooms are large and very cozy, there is a big pool and a very well equipped and new gym. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they even have an in-house doctor. Food is also very good, although western option is lacking, the "dim sum" buffet lunch at their "Oriental Café" is a steal for 82000 IDR. All in all, a near perfect city hotel and great value!

1. Checking in was fast & easy (we checked in @ 1am due to flight delay) 2. Room was spacious 3. Twice requested for the iron/ironing board during our stay & were delivered almost immediately! 👍🏻 4. Breakfast was great - tasty 5. But most important - location. Right at Jakarta's famous culinary street!!...and close to pasar baru too 6. Stayed here almost everytime visited Jakarta with the fmly! Not new BUT NICE HOTEL!

Nice Holiday Stay”
The Redtop Hotel, located in North Jakarta, provides real value for money. The room was large, the bed comfortable, and the room very clean. The staff were all friendly and professional. The distance to the Grand Indonesia Mall is a short 10-15 minutes by taxi and it's also very close to many government ministries and the embassy district. I would definitely stay at the Redtop again when visiting Jakarta.

The night manager, tall and very friendly .. I forget his name but he truly took care of us. I would give him an A+. I stay at Redtop each time I am in Jakarta and always recommend it to my friends. The hotel is a little older but immaculate .. very good staff .. very comfortable place to stay. My home away from home when in Jakarta. Thanks.
