Traveling to Indonesia? Find Bangka Belitung Islands hotels

I stayed in this hotel on my trip to enjoy solar eclipse in Belitung island. I dound this hotel very crowded due to that spectacular moment of solar eclipse. Seems that many visitors stay in this hotel including the tourism minister. There was also a seminar about solareclipse held by a very famous publisher and one of the main speakers was Andrea Hirata which is popular with his book "Laskar Pelangi" I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. In the morning, I rent a bike from this hotel and go around the city. It's a small city so you can see almost the entire city in one single morning ride with a bike. That's nice thing to do. I didn't do much else in the hotel because yhe main focus is to enjoy Belitung with its beautiful beaches and islands. Only one note: AC is noisy.

if you plan to spend a vacation at Belitung then I can recommend this hotel. Though it is far from the city and airport (about 1 hour drive), it has its own nice beach. And it is near the famous Tanjung Tinggi beach (like 5 minute drive) and near the Tanjung Kepayang beach where island hopping boats departs and returns. If you like seafood, there is Pohon Ketapang seafood restaurant nearby which I would say the best seafood in term of taste and value for money. It has I'd say the best fish head gangan soup. now about the hotel itself, the breakfast still needs to improve in term of taste and quality. But I guess you get what you pay for. Belitung hasn't reached the Bali level yet so no complaining.

This is probably the best equipped hotel in the whole province of Bangka-Belitung. The breakfast has huge variety for a city with very limited business or leisure activities. The room was in a good Novotel design standard, which was modern and highly efficient. It has a large conference hall, good fitness center, and a good swimming pool, which were more than enough for any business traveller. The location is close to the airport on a main road. As Pangkalpinang is still a small city, it's fast to go from one point to another. The only thing I'm confused about is the name, because the golf course was located a few kilometres away from the hotel. I actually went to the golf course and I think it wasn't owned by the same owner. In all fairness, they should write it off from the name, and write it off from the list of facilities.

Arumdalu was the best private resort in Belitung, maybe top 5 best private resort in Indonesia. Location is far from the city, so good to relax and escape from the crowd. Facilities also good, but the hotel was not inform us that in this month we can not use the beach activity for the weather reason. Fortunetely we didn't book for room with activities ( we hope that the hotel don't show room availability for such room if they can not provide at that time) We choose room with special lunch (suppose we have lunch on the beach / arumdalu explorer), but for the weather reason we also didn't try it. Location is far from city, so you have to breakfast, lunch and dinner at the property. The food is excellent and price is reasonable (but expensive compare with local food at Belitung, about 200-300K rupiah per-food item and 50-100K rupiah per-beverage) I think there have only about 10 choices of food. So hope next we stay there, hotel can add food variations menu.

I like to stay at MaxOne because it's one of the limited option we can have in Belitung island. I don't have any complaints at all. Recommended!

12hours of planes delays to Belitung (Thanks Garuda, Indonesias best, lol) made our day less than enjoyable, but arriving at our place of stay at 11pm, we were impressed and satisfied with what Billiton Hotel & Klub had to offer right from the start. A warm welcome and a no fuss check in alleviated any stress, the clean and fresh room allowed us to relax and chill out immediately. Breakfast was wonderful with a great range of dishes (Cereal, Traditional Indonesian and Asian dishes, freshly made Omelets, freshly squeezed juices, kopi, tehs and an assortment of freshly sliced fruits.) Breakfast was really nice and fresh. We had the fortune to share breakfast with the manager who sat down and discussed the history of the hotel and Belitung and also set us up for a island hopping tour later on in the day. The layout is nice, the ambiance is chilled and relaxed and the hotel would suite families and/or couples as a place to simply unwind or centralize there base for a tour of Belitung island. My fiancee and myself will definitely be back to Billiton because its easily the best a hotel on the Island.

Pros: check in and check was super easy and fast. Staff all very helpful, informative and friendly. Room are clean and tidy, spacious with comfortable bed/pillow. Location near to many restaurant and other coffee shop. We are lucky during our stay, we get beautiful sunset view from our balcony. Cons: selection of breakfast slightly below my expectation. But still good. I suggest more variety in food selection. Extra if there is food specialty from belitung.

One of the best hotel in Bangka i think. The hotel is clean. The condition similar with hotel in Bali. We were very cozy just to stay at hotel. The room is big. Surely will back to this hotel again

The hotel is perfect, new and clean. Staffs are friendly, good food too. Too good to literally destroy my personal diet. The Belitong mee was really delicious.... we will definitely return to this hotel when visiting Belitung again.

The room and the bed was ok, AC and hot water went well. What Memorable to me was that they allowed us to check in early around 8.30 am, I was so happy that we can check in early so that we can explore Belitung a lot more. Wifi works very well in my room so Nothing more I could complain for the price I pay, it is all fine during my stay. My Soto ayam for breakfast was tasty but the fried rice was not good. The view of the beach not so special.

the room smells very humid, for that price there should be complete bathroom equipment (hairdryer, liquid soap). for breakfast: dry and cold rice, standard taste

Beach location, privacy, good restaurant foods especially fresh local red kakap limpah kuning and friendly staff are the best things here.

The Room is cool, clean and rate OK, Suitable for one place trip and enjoy the location with nice beach view and low wave. Not suitable if would like to see few highlights in the Island as not in the center of the Island. The Staff is very help full, the facility is OK

Pelangi resort is so nice.... Big garden, spacious room, quite surrounding, walking distanceto the beach for swimming. We booked wrongly trhough agoda cottage 2 but with price of single room, than we rebook add 1 room, the manager upgrade to remain in cottage 2, very kind of them. From here ry near to Kelayang beach we rent boat for 6 persons with cost 400,000.00 very cheap, we have done joyful island hopping..... Belitung indeed is beautiful island,..

I went to Belitung with 3 other friends and decided to check in at the hotel after visiting Tanjung Tinggi beach in the afternoon. The hotel was easy to locate as it's not far from the round-about and the famous mie Atep also because it's on the main street. Everything were clean in the rooms. Apart from limited TV channel that we didn't see much and rooms location on 4th floor, we don't have much complain.

We stayed at Lor In resort for four nights. We booked the largest rooms available, which were comfy and offered king size beds. They also had Balinese style outdoor bathrooms which were very large and tiled with red marble. The resort has a large pool and dining area. The staff here were excellent and always did their best to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. The resort offers private transport, rental of bicycles and mopeds, and in-service massages. I'd stay there again if I go back to Belitung Island.

I stayed here for 4 days with my sister in July 2013 without any issues and would go back. The accommodations are very basic but the rooms were a good size and clean. The breakfast was basic but worked for us. The high-speed internet worked well especially in the main lobby. The location was good as it was right in the city. The best part of our stay was the owner and staff who were very helpful and outgoing during our stay. We used Google Translate to communicate with them as we only speak english. They arranged scooters for us to rent and told us exactly where to go for the beach and where to find food. Also the owner was nice enough to take me to the main market to get fruit. Belitung was defiantly a great little island, safe, friendly and has a great beach about 30-45 mins by scooter outside of the city. I would go back no problem but I would have to say it is defiantly for the no frills traveler/backpacker and not for the 5 star tourist.

Bangka is a small city, there is no traffic jam at all unlike big city like Jakarta. Car rental is truly recommended as it is really difficult to find taxis or other public transportation in town. With a personal driver, going around Bangka town is very convenient. The hotel is still new i guess, because it's very clean. The room is considerably comfortable. The best part of the hotel for me is the price from Agoda. Breakfast choices are limited at the hotel, but don't worry, because there are various traditional food the town has to offer.

Bahamas Hotel is very pleasant with large no fuss clean rooms, staff are brillant very friendly and helpful anything you need to know about Belitung they are more then willing to assit. The hotel is located about 15 minute walk from the main town area, however its nice to stay at the hotel as its located direct on the beach front, beer can be bought from the Aloha night club next door after 8pm most nights.

I really impressed with the service from this hotel. They provide us breakfast eraly inthe morning after they know that we hve to leave for the port at 5.30 in the morning. Two staff brought us the breakfast to our room. Superb

Pros: Fantastic location away from the city for those who want to relax and a beautiful beach. Lovely staff who went out of their way to help us organise SIM cards, island tours and motorbike hire. Very neat and clean rooms right on the beach which was also very clean and rubbish free (a rarity in Indonesia) Delicious food in the restaurant that has a great view. Huge clean swimming pool if you don't want to get sandy. Cons: 96 steps to get to the bungalows from the restaurant (gets easier the more times you go up) not great for the elderly or disabled. Not much variety for breakfast. Wish there was some fruit or cereal on offer. Fortunately it's easy enough to buy in the town and store yourself if you remember.

I was booking for a room with two beds (I saw in Agoda). When I was in Belitung, it refer to different room with one big bed. Overall, the hotel is fine. One more concern is the low light.

We stayed for 03 nights in Golden Tulip, everything was good and we didn't have any complaints. WIFI was not working, but that was not priority to us. Staff are very nice and courteous, they assist you everytime. Cleanliness is very good and you feel refreshed when you enter the room. Rooms are very spacious and big. We stayed in a family room, it was big and comfortable. Breakfast was good, but could have been more options, like pasta, sapgheti. Overall our stay was comfortable and we would surely love to stay here, if we come back to Belitung

I was stay for 3 nights in Belitong Inn. Small hotel but they have a basic facility and have a clean room. I choosed single room include breakfast. The room is big enough , clean and it's very value for money for solo traveller like me. The housekeeping cleaning my room everyday. They have a motorcycle for rent too. It's make easier to me to travelling around Belitong island. Only 20 minute driving by taxi from airport to hotel (14km) , with cost approximately Rp. 80.000 by Street Taxi . I will back someday to this hotel.Recommended Hotel

The hotel was recommended by a friend. Overall it was a pleasant stay for two days. Staff are very friendly and gives helpful directions and places to see. The room is very clean and spacious considering the price that I am paying for. Highly recommended for others to stay there.

Hotel is quite cheap, not far away from city, one reason we choose this hotel because they have swimming pool but whenn we came the pool was under renovating pity. Staff are very humble & kind.... Going around the city we took car rental quite cheap each day rupiah 300,000.0

Location near the traditional market and near to everywhere because in the middle of belitung city The room was big enough for us ( 2 adult, 1 child and 1 infant) The bed was comfy so we can have a good sleep The staff really helpful, we check in at 23.00 But they still help us with a smile

Our stay in Hotel Puncak (that's their "famous" name in pangkalpinang) was great. Main reason is the hotel manager Mr. Robby is giving us (and other guests too) hospitality services beyond the normal service of 3 star hotel. His service is like a 6 star hotel! The hotel itself too is great in location, room, and cleanliness. Worth more than what we may pay for. The hotel is not only recommended for business traveler, but also family who do not seek extra swimming pool or jogging track to be along with the hotel - it is quiet and near to food centres too. Great Stay and Satisfied customer.
