Overall the stay was very good. The staff were excellent, food fantastic, pools great and a good beachside location, whilst still being close to airport and restaurants/ shops. However, some attention to detail is required. We were on the family getaway package which was supposed to give us a king bed and a single bed. We additionally booked and paid for an extra bed for the eldest child. On check in this seemed to bypass the check in staff completely and we were initially given a room with 3 single beds-no use at all for 4 people and no mention of the paid for extra bed. we were moved to a room with a king and single and still no understanding we had paid for another bed. After several calls the additional bed was finally brought to the room-at almost 10pm!! Also linens were an issue. We had booked 4 people and paid for extra bed but only had 3 towels and robes. We called for additional towels and these were brought. 2nd night only 2 towels and 2 robes. Again had to call for extra which arrived after we had left for dinner (due to storm i suspect so understandable but should have been in room already). Final night 2 towels and 1 robe. How hard can it be to have correct number of guests listed for the room? Not 5 star standard. We also had a broken safe, a leaking air conditioning unit and no TV remote. All rectified quickly but these are details a 5 star resort should pay attention to. One last issue on checkout-we were charged for transfer to/ from hotel when this was included in the family getaway price. It was removed from the bill then just as we were leaving we were called back and told not in package and had to pay, We argued against this and were allowed to leave without paying for it as otherwise we would have missed the plane but are still at risk of being charged this-not at all happy with how this was handled with us being pulled off transport at last minute and then left waiting as long as we were when we had a flight to catch

I booked this hotel for the 2nd time as the 1st time was with good memories, however we had to wait for more than 1 hour to check in to our room. We were a group of 9 with 2 elderlies and we arrived there around 3pm which is hotel's check-in time. Although they were aware of my arrival time which was supposed to be around 1 pm but due to flight delay, we reached there by 3 pm but still our rooms were NOT ready and we had to wait until 4 pm (I'd asked for 3rd floor rooms). After one hour, they still didn't say anything while the 9 of us were frustrated and when I tried to ask them why rooms are not ready I got the most ridiculous response that I have ever heard: "The rooms you requested are still not ready and we are not sure when they can be ready" I was told this after 1 hour and then they said "We are going to give you 2 rooms at ground floor and 1 room is still not ready as housekeeping hasn't finished yet." If they could not give me the rooms at higher floor, they could've told me sooner instead of keeping me for more than an hour but I still get this part. However they did NOT even have available rooms at ANY floor and when I said I booked 3 rooms more than one week before and I was here at 3 pm and I expect my rooms to be ready upon my ARRIVAL, they said "it's not our fault, it's housekeeping fault!!!!" How awful a management can be that they cannot sync up their teams together and let one blame the other one. It's like a guest would care whose fault it is. Anyways, I won't be going back to this hotel and it's not that it's a bad hotel and I would NOT recommend it to you if you want your room to be ready on time and believe me waiting time is NOT 10, 15 or 20 minutes as the 1st time, I also waited for more almost an hour but I could understand that as I'd arrived before 3 pm. I have a complaint about AGODA as they had not shared my special requests with the hotel and they didn't have what I had written while booking my rooms through your website.

Initially I wanted to book the deluxe seaview, but the price is higher than what I had expected so i decided to book the deluxe garden view instead. The room is really nice, big and spacious and most importantly clean. It also has a mediteranean feel to it which is different from other hotel, but we really like it. However it does not provide hairdryer which i think is kind of a must now in 3 or 4 stars hotel. The environment is very relaxing and the hotel provide a variety of food to choose from. It also has a nice seaview where u can sit down and enjoy ur food. They have a spa and swimming pool which looks great but we did not have time to enjoy them. The hotel also provides free transport to a private beach at a nearby island reserved by the hotel customers but we did not go there. The hotel also offer a variety of activities to do with reasonable price, but u can find cheaper options outside. I love that the hotel is near pantai chenang where loads of bar and restaurants are at. U can find for nice food over there but of course the price is not really cheap. It is a good location provided if u like to stay away from the hustle and bustle from the city like us and have ur own transport. It is far away from the kuah town (20mins drive) so if u wanted to shop around at kuah town then it wont be a good choice to stay there. and it will be quite inconvenient if u dun have ur own transport over there. Overall I really love the hotel and I would go back to stay there again at other time. However there are certainly rooms for improvement for the staffs. They are helpful but lack of a smile when serving customers. It also takes a long time to check in the hotel (about 20 mins or more). Luckily the hotel is very nice, so we spent time taking pics and look around while waiting to be checked-in so we are not too bothered, but our schedule was of course delayed due to the slow check-in. And there were not many customers around while we are waiting for check-in.

When selecting the hotel for our vacation in Langkawi i was trying to find a cheap one as my friends really enjoyed theire stay in a cheap 3* hotel and advised not to spend money on hotel. However after studying lots of Langkawi hotels reviews I decided to book Frangipani (deluxe room). Although, in my opinion, it's a little overpriced, I have never regretted my choice. The hotel is really very beautiful and clean. We have travelled around the island and in my opinion Franghipany has the best beach. The hotel staff is also extremely friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful time at Aseania for Jan 2010, a bit of advice dont check in before the check in time or you may get a rude shock when you see your room. We arrived at 12.30 and our original rooms were not available so we were given other rooms and put in their overflow area. As we had 5 Young children, huge amount of baggage, and had just caught a plane and a ferry from Alor Star we didnt think we cared, but Yuck, they were clean but extremely tiny we were put on opposite sides of the building and as you headed to the fourth/fifth floor you could see the difference in the condition of the hotel, the paint on the walls was almost gone, plaster in pieces, the door to the room was falling apart. After complaining to the front desk, we were told to enjoy a complimentary drink down the pool with our family until 3.00pm when our correct rooms would be ready. The staff were fantastic as since we had a family of 7 we were shown the different catagories of rooms that were available for our use. We had originally booked interconnecting rooms with 2 queen beds in each but we were offered a family suite which included a sitting area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, surprisingly enough this room was cheaper and the staff only to happy to swap us to this room and refund the difference. The food at the aseania is fantastic, if you like pizza i recommend it, its out of this world. The free breakfast was edible, even if it did become a bit boring after a while, it does get a bit crazy when everyone is down trying to get food at the same time. The massive swimming pool is fantastic for the kids, it has 3 waterslides to keep them occupied for hours, most of the pool is of 6 year old child's height so its perfect, deeper areas are clearly labelled for parents, however it is a sudden drop. If you like cheap alcohol, langkawi is the place to be, its a complete duty free island, there is a swim up bar which is fantastic, and alcohol there is cheaper that coke.

its hard to find good hotel for the budget cheap hotels are so dirty and the service sucks .. i tried three hotels in langkawi two of them in cenang beach .. nadias was the best and the location is in the center of living cenang beach Street ..in kuah there are good location but cenang is so active beach .. i love this hotel and if i come again i will book it and recommend it for my friends..last thing is the staff is very helpful and friendly also the cleaning service are

Biggest highlight: We saw the King of Kedah here as he left walking down the red carpet too! Quite something really. As close as we will ever get to a King or Queen for that matter. If he stays there it must be good (QED). The view was both good and bad. Looking up to the water was brilliant! Looking down in a few spots was not so good. Langkawi appears to have had some boom and bust cycles. Location to Tuah town was of course excellent but there is another area with a better beach and a bit more ex pat/backpacker "touristy" so check out your hotel location before purchasing just to make sure that you do not get any surprises. The room was very good overlooking the sea. Size fine and a DVD player was in the room. Fittings etc. were fine. Management turning off/down the air conditioner at night was a real problem for us as we both woke up overheated at night and had to toss off the blanket! I feel very annoyed about this as I write so please ask them more about this before you book. Service very good all around. Included breakfast good considering what we paid.

Stayed here for 4 days 3 nights. Staffs are very friendly, always greet us whenever we bumped into any of the staff. Breakfast is just a so-so. Crossaint & live station of prata & egg station is the best. Otherwise, everyday about the same food. Loving the ladies pool. No one was there most of the time so me and my friend had the entire pool to ourselves. View at ladies pool is so calming and nice. Room cleanliness is okay, would be better if the carpet is more softer and cleaner looking. View in our room is superb, sea view! Benefits is we can sun dry our swimming clothes at the balcony. Tv channels are limited but okay. We’re out doing activities most of the time anyway. Toilet size is just nice, not too big or too small. Shower towel however was rough texture. Ironing board is not cushion enough so when I iron my clothes, have those ironing board marks. Those criss cross thingy. Distance to the main attractions of Langkawi is far. We took grab everyday because we didn’t hire any driver or we don’t drive/ride. Grab price to and back attraction place is about RM18 each. However, hotel is near the jetty. Hotel is also beside a mall but don’t expect much from the mall. We went to the pasar malam everyday because everyday different place. Nice adventure. KFC is just opposite our hotel, a great help to fix our dinner because we were so dead tired from snorkelling but still want to eat bcos hungry. Haha! There’s a counter at the ground level of hotel where you can enquire & book for places of attraction. The staff there, Fatin, was very helpful and able to communicate in English. Benefit for my Chinese friend, at least I don’t have to do translation. Transaction for the attractions is smooth and our driver (sorry I forgot your name) to heli + skycab is very helpful and friendly too. Would recommend this place definitely for my muslim ladies friends who wants to go ladies swimming pool and for in the future if I want some nice quieter, less busy ambience.

When I walked into The Danna i wasn't really very impressed. The lobby is huge and spacious and felt almost cold. Then we were greeted buy one of the members of the reception team and were directed to a sofa in the lobby where we were given cold towels, a cold drink and a shoulder's massage. It was just great. We had a small tour of the hotel and then we arrived to our room. We had a Merchant room and it was just perfect. Big, clean, nice. And the bathroom, just beautiful. Same width than the room, with a bathtub, shower and his and her sinks (something that I loved). The hotel was a games room, which is more like a darts room. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed darts so we had a blast playing in the room that was pretty much all by ourselves. We were there mid october and the hotel wasn't really full. They also have a pool table, which was very enjoyable. But of course the best feature of this hotel is the pool. That pool. It's just AMAZING. Best pool I've ever seen in a hotel anywhere in the world. Just magnificent. You can even do laps if you want. As I said earlier, the hotel wasn't full (probably because it still was low season) so there were times that we had that huge wonderful pool all for ourselves. The pool team was very nice too. Always smiling and greeting you. The breakfast was very good. Wide rage of foods. Asian, Western, breads, fruit. I've read reviews of people complaining about breakfast and I would like to know what the hell they eat at their homes. You may not like all the different dishes but the choice was very wide. (Best eggs benedict ever!) We had dinner at the hotel once, the dinner buffet. I found it not as good as breakfast only for one reason: all the food was cold (even the dishes that were supposed to be warm!) That was a put off. But they have a good list on wines with inexpensive ones for a 5 star hotel. We had one bottle of the house california and was good.

Nice Friendly, Helpful and Efficient Staff. Large Room, with fixtures and furnishings in good working condition. Location not too far from the centre of town and some local eatiers nearby. Free Parking Spaces available on site, albeit quite busy. Wifi Worked Well. However, the big letdown is noise! No noise insulation from the conference room above. The reception kindly put me in a "quite room" seemingly as far away from the bar/club as possible and a nice proximity for watching the sunset from the room. However, despite this there was constant noise playing out of speakers until midnight - this was on a Saturday night, which for Kedah State is the last night of the weekend (Sunday is a working day). Then come Sunday morning, it was more loud talking from a speaker/microphone from 9am onwards; I suspect there was a conference on in the room above. End result I did not sleep enough - which was critical given the early 4:30am start I had made on the Saturday morning and need to catch up.

Great location right on the beach, close to the main shopping area. The room was clean, comfortable and a good size. The staff were very helpful and nice, thankyou to one member of staff in particular who went to alot of trouble helping me to get a very early morning taxi to the pier for the first Kuala Kedah ferry.

We booked 3 deluxe rooms with breakfast, one for hubby, myself and 2 daughter.the other two rooms are for my other two married daughter with small children. the rooms was the best of all. the space, the price as well as the bed.every and each rooms that we occupied are nicely decorated, plus it was decorated differently from each other.the tv however, does not cater to the needs for young children. the breakfast was not good enough, my son in law complaints a lot to the receptionist. the scenery was one of the best in its price. the look at the sea, the boats berth, and the night view of the ocean.but, there is no access to the beach. the pool is not entirely well kept, in addition the pool could not serve more than 30 adults at one time.the landscape is nicely decorated, even so i never feel like 3 star hotel at this hotel.others are good, we would stay there again for other leisure+shopping trip to Langkawi

We had called to check if they could provide a room with three single beds before booking and been told they could. Upon check in we found out this was not the case, not the end of the world as our room had a large comfy queen and a single but the reason why they only got 4 stars. The room was spacious, the bathroom the usual asian variety with hot water unit on the wall but a shower which inevitable gets water on the toilet- so much space in the room they could have designed the bathroom better to avoid this- but it was clean and tidy otherwise. Kettle and fridge in the room which is always handy. The pool area could be much better, its just a concrete backyard right behind reception, needs some umbrellas, better loungers and perhaps some potted plants or such to make it a retreat sort of area. Not many hotels along here have pools so they should really showcase this more. The 'Nest' on the rooftop (separate business leased from hotel but they provide the hotel breakfast from what I could tell) did yummy food, not just for breakfast. Its busy at sunset and the views are beautiful. Needs a bit more shade. They don't serve alcohol but the smoothies/mocktails are tasty if overpriced. Definitely book your room with breakfast as its only a few dollars more and breakfast is varied with egg station, yogurt, fruit, cereal, toast (good bread!) tea coffee and noodle/rice on some days. Staff were all very friendly and the views are a great way to start the morning. Overall I would stay here again as the price point for what you get is very budget friendly- we paid about $50USD a night for 3 people inc breakfast! The green thai curry on the rooftop is spicy but delicious and head down the street to Yasmin Syrian Arabic restaurant for a delicious meal. You can cut through the sunset resort opposite to get to the beach (less than 1 min)- a sun lounger for the day is 10 ringgit. You have to constantly log into the internet, it never remembers you- wifi is sufficient but not grea

The location and design of the apartment made the place special. Overlooking the Kuah bay, units facing the sea will give the best experience of being at seaside. The apartment layout also is very suitable for family, with 2 large beds and huge balcony to relax and enjoy the view. Service cannot be compared to hotel as it is just a managed service apartment. So 4 star for the place, 3 star at best for the service.

I am very pleased with the services provided by the hotel. I had stayed comfortably in the hotel for 5 nights. The room and the toilet are clean and spacious. I have no trouble spending my nights sleeping in the hotel. The bedsheets are clean and the pillows are comfy too. I would definitely choose to stay with Grand Alora again if I visit Kedah. The restaurant at 2nd floor is worth to visit. As I am vegetarian they specially catered vegetarian dishes for me and the waitress was very helpful and patient with me. The food were incredibly delicious. It’s yummy! Thanks for the hospitality I received throughout my stay here in the hotel.

situated on a stunning beach, backing onto rain forest with only one other hotel nearby, you have to wonder how on earth they got permission to build this hotel in the first place. but then you look closer and you notice how it is totally blended into its surroundings and it is almost totally environmentally friendly - they even have resident nature experts who do morning and evening free walks - take one, they are very informative. everything is near perfect, the rooms are a good size and very well furnished, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is the best i have ever had in a hotel. little touches abound, i was waiting for my dinner in the restaurant and i had forgotten my book, the waiter noticed i was looking around aimlessly and brought me a couple of magazines to read. similarly they have a poolside newspaper delivery service, along with the iced water and fruit. other reviews have said it is isolated with nothing else to do there, and this is true so just sit or lay back and relax. yes the prices are higher than the rest of langkawi or malaysia but the staff to guest ratio is very high and they have to pay these people somehow. for an ultimate 5 star luxury paradise in a superb location, this place is hard to beat.

I stayed in Langkawi Seaview in Langkawi, Kedah for 3 nights.The place was absolutely amazing.The host is really friendly and you will have a peaceful and unforgettable experience.The room is clean and the breakfast is delicious. Do not forget to discover the city!

The hotel is located basically on the beach and in the quaiet area of Pantai Cenang. The room is super nice with confortable bed, big windows, safe, aircon etc. Not many choice of breakfast, but good quality. The pool is great - big and clean. I also liked the beach, but there were some biting things in the water so we didn’t enjoy swimming that much. Sunsets at the beach were amazing. Good cheap restaurants nearby: try out Cactus or Sun cafe. We walked about 15 minutes to the street market and shops, but if you prefer the taxi, crab was only 4 RM. Hotel’s staff was always smiling and super helpful in everything. I liked the fact that they provided cold drinking water in the beach and by the pool, although the service was sometimes a bit too slow. The only really negative thing we experienced was a tour we booked by the tour company in the hotel- it was total scam, better take one on the street.

The staff were always ready to greet and extend help when it was needed. Our little kid was made very welcome wherever she went. The best of it was that kids meals were all free for kids below the age of 5 and the quality was excellent. The resort's premises was fantastic and Tanjung Rhu beach was simply peerless. It's one of the most beautiful beaches in Langkawi if not the best. Four Seasons wasn't the cheapest. By any stretch of imagination but it was definitely worth every penny. The activities at the Kids Club were also action packed and the Instructors were very good with kids. I would highly recommend it to any family considering a holiday in Langkawi.

During our stay the staff at the dining gabe us a free fried rice (top with a fr3sh egg) and cheap porridge for my child who was feeling under the weather. It were freshly cooked. We were quite surprised as my husband has been around the block lookin for our childs food. Hospitality is the best description and star comment for this down to earth hotel.

Overall nice stay. helpful staffs especially en.megat and he apologized to us for the inaccessible tv stations due to system problem in room 220. checked in on 6 july 2019 and booked a massage slot on 7 july 2019 with tanamera spa as discount is available as we stay at the hotel. agreed to come for the slot as advised by masseur(Kiki) at 8pm on 7 July 2019.witnessed her writing in the appointment book clearly and we saw no other appointment in the book. on the appointment slot, i went in but she informed me that she already entertaining 2 other clients and thought that my appointment was yesterday..she persuaded me to come at 10pm and i was unhappy with that. shocked with her explanation as my husband and i clearly remembered she advised me on the date/time, wrote exactly in the book and reconfirmed with us before we went out from the spa on 6 july 2019. blessing in disguise, we went for alun alun spa, chenang outlet and the services were tip top and nice wonderful ambience.will revisit alun alun spa. maybe cenang plaza hotel can discuss with alun alun spa to provide some discount for hotel clients.

best place exactly located around 1 minute walk to the beach/ behind us. The room we bookes was Wooden Deluxe. It could fit 2 A & 2 C. My room was facing the Cenanng Mall and it was convenient if you want to get anything, there was a guardian/watson shop. Foods are abundant along the whole cenang street. Most shop operate day & night. It was alive at night & very beautiful to walk & shop. Plenty of shop, restaurant & water sport activities.

Location is the best for this hotel, right in front of Underwater World whereby the restaurants, convenience stores, McDonalds, duty free shops is just opposite of the hotel.. walking distance to Cenang beach and Cenang mall.. basic facilities you can expect from this hotel.. the only cons about this room is it can get very hot during day time as the aircond takes longer time to cool down the entire room.. night time, no problem at all.. best to bring mosquito repellent.. I stayed in the cabin room type so the music noise from the nearby restaurant is tolerable..

Bungalow house with big space at kitchen, good to have steam boat for big crowd. Nice & clean grass for children play around. Rooms with confortable bed. Whole house very new & clean. Nearby agro farm under MBI is big with fruit & vegetable plants. Can visit fr 8am to 6pm free of charge..

The resort hotel is gorgeous beyond words. It looks exactly like the photos you see. The staff at the concierge were especially helpful in getting cabs, buggy to the gym for us to take a quick shower before we left for the airport after we checked out in the morning for our mangrove tour. Grab a mango milkshake at the infinity pool bar - so tasty! The only thing I have to comment is definitely do not swim in the infinity pool after nightfall. There's so many dead insects and other creatures lying around in the pool. It's like a Dead Sea! The hotel cleans and changes water at 8pm. I can't speak for how clean the pool is in the morning but evening or night swimming is a definitely no no. Breakfast was amazinggggg. The choices they have is more than adequate but there can be more seats available. When everyone comes in for breakfast Seasonal Taste becomes a five star hotel restaurant no more. It is like a wet market. What a pity, with its gorgeous view outside. The view makes up for everything. It's so so worth it! Book early for even better rates. This place is so popular! Get a part sea view room. We stayed in one but it didn't have a sea view. Next day we were suppose to changed to a room with patio but they upgraded us to a part sea view instead which I'm so glad and thankful for. Because waking up to the sea is bliss!!! I will so come back here again! Again, remember to book EARLY!

Definitely best place to stay as its nearby with Cenang Beach so can go shopping easily.. Nearby with Laundry so no need to bring much clothes here.. Friendly staff with clean pools concur points to stay here.. Room is in good condition and accessible for disable person as well.. Highly recommended to stay here..

Berjaya will spoil you with the best of everything. Only if i could give them 10 out of 5 stars. It's a 5 star resort and it deserves every one of those 5 stars. From the moment you enter their lobby till the time you check out, Berjaya will continue to woo you. I have absolutely no complains. The chalets were beautiful, clean and spacious. The room service very prompt and fast. The property itself is just breathtaking. We just didnt wanna leave. Courteous staff. They just know how exactly to treat you. And unlike other hotels they do not discriminate based on the type of room you've booked. We booked a rainforest chalet, and we were treated like king and queens. we reached the hotel lobby at 10:30 am and we were given a welcome drink and asked to wait. by 11 our room was ready; even though the check out time is 2pm. the shuttle dropped us to the chalet. It was out first anniversary, the hotel was so thoughtful to create towel swans every morning after housekeeping. We got a complimentary dinner at the Pahn Thai restaurant. so beautiful.

It was a perfect getaway for me and my sister. We stayed at the hotel most of the time just enjoying our room and the facilities and we already feel very happy. We even want to extend our stay but sadly we have work to go back to but we do plan to come back as it has been the best hotel experience for us. The hotel is located in Pantai Cenang which is among the popular beach in Langkawi but never once we feel disturbed during our stay. It is located at one end of the beach. Not many publics came to the beach hence it was a peaceful environment for us. If you are looking for peaceful and quiet environment this will be the perfect place/hotel to go with the perfect view. This hotel was mainly occupied by honeymooners/ retired couple as they don't have family rooms. We only saw 2 kids during our stay and they don't even make that much noise. We stayed in the beachfront room which we really recommend as you will have the nicest view to wake up to. The best thing about this hotel was the staffs. The staffs from the reception staffs to the maintainance staffs are super friendly and attentive which made our stay even more wonderful. They were really kind and helpful. The hotel may not be totally perfect as it is a four star hotel but the way the staff treated you just made you feel you are staying in a 5 star hotel. The food and spa were not that fantastic but again the wonderful staffs made us forget this little imperfections. The room service food price was reasonable to us and the best thing they don't have extra 6% gst nor the 10% service charge. Overall it's been a fantastic and unforgettable stay for us. We are definitely coming back next year.
