We stayed at the Leaf Oceanside for 14 nights in a Leaf room. From our arrival at midnight, everything at this resort was excellent. Our room was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We know from previous experience that beds in Thailand are notoriously hard but this bed was one of the best we have slept in. Plenty of cupboard space and drawers, 3 large mirrors, lovely balcony with chairs and hanging rails and a nice view of the garden and the Leaf pool and hills in the distance. The bathroom was great with a huge shower, plenty of room for two in at one time. Breakfast was a lovely buffet, with enough selection to please, fresh fruit, yoghurts, bacon, ham, sausages, eggs any style, continental salads and cheese, and delicious Thai dishes which were different every day, lots of breads, croissants and danish pastries, with tea and coffee. We have read lots of negative comments about the breakfasts, and can only say that some people are obviously very hard to please, and should probably book 5 star resorts and pay a lot more, to get what they expect. We felt that this resort was wonderful value for money, and were extremely happy with everything. The staff were very pleasant and we found them attentive, and quick to try and please. The pools were sparkling clean, and being low season, there were plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas to go round. The pool towels were the best we have ever seen, super long, so that they covered the deck chair end to end. The gardens were well maintained and very tidy and pretty. Unfortunately for us, we arrived during the tail end of a cyclone in the area, so had lots of rain. It was very pleasant to sit on our balcony and read and drink coffee, and enjoy the tropical downpour. We loved the balcony for the privacy it afforded us, and preferred the Leaf rooms to the pool view rooms because of the privacy aspect.
