First visit to Cardiff with a day at Cardiff Castle the main attraction. The hotel was easy to find. The staff were, to a man, extremely helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast brilliant value for money with a delicious selection of hot and cold foods on offer. Minor niggles included the bath plug not working in one of the rooms booked (we had booked three in total) and the hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment. The £20 parking fee per day is also quite hefty. The hotel was located in the heart of the shopping district and a very easy walk to the castle.

location is very easy to find after i got off from train station, just 2-3 mins walk to the hotel. i booked maldron hotel cardiff because it is also one of the best location for attending a concert at motorpoint arena. with completely hotel facilities and also free wifi throughout the whole hotel!

Ruthin is a lovely location for walking.The hotel is massive and takes a bit of getting your bearings.We were upgraded to room 116,from a smaller,double room ( bed didn't seem double!) Make a fuss and get a decent size room! If you want to eat at Berties - BOOK! We intended to have food in Library bar but were told 2 hour wait ! Recommend going to On the Hill restaurant,and Myddleton Grill.I believe Berties were small portions! For a 4 star,breakfast is not worth paying for.No choice,not hot,little of it - go to Wetherspoons! If included,get there early,as replenishment is slow - no alternatives for vegetarians ( sausage),eggs were fried and poor.Didn't use the spa. Basically their breakfast needs a big improve ( a queue to get in,one day) and more staff on evening meals.Eating out is better option.

Had some problems checking in as they could not find my booking. Booked 3 rooms but the system only showed 1 room, but it was resolved within 15 minutes. The hotel is located near Cardiff Castle. And if you are joining a tour group, the meeting place is usually the Museum, which is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is quite busy since there's usually an event or conference. The shopping area is just behind the hotel which was very convenient.

We had a one night stay and traveled with a 3 year old , the staff were so accommodating and lovely to our our daughter, organised a z-bed, let us check in early. They were obviously busy getting ready for a large wedding that afternoon but they still took the time to chat to us and made us feel welcome. Every staff member we came across was lovely and seemed to enjoy their job, not just painting on a smile! When we had to cancel a spa booking at short notice, as our daughter wanted to be be outside in the sunshine being as though the weather was unexpectedly good!, they went out of their way to sort it out for us and didn't charge . which they were in their rights to do) The breakfast was lovely too! We'll definitely be back and will sing this hotels praises to anyone who wants a short break!

My wife and I stayed one night at the hotel. This new hotel is very cosy and has one of the best location in town. It is a stone throw away from the Swansea Castle and shopping area. The room is quite big and very clean.

The room was comfortable as was the bed. The only thing I can say bad about the bedding was that the pillows are very small, though there are two per person, one firm and one soft. Our room was surprisingly quiet for a city centre hotel. All the staff we met were friendly and efficient. Be aware that the car park will cost you £28 if you are staying for two nights, this gives you up to 48 hours parking. In fact it's the reason I've given value for money only 4 stars and not 5. I do understand it not being included in the price of the room, as those arriving by public transport would lose out, but the price could be more prominent in the pricing menu on the website.

Arrived after 9pm to a warm welcome at reception., My room was a good size, very clean, warm and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable with nice pillows. The refreshments offered in the room were all sourced from Wales, I really enjoyed the Welsh "paned" and the delicious hot chocolate. The toiletries felt luxurious and the bathroom while a little compact, had a nice large shower and lovely big fluffy towels.. Breakfast was fantastic and came with a smile. There was plenty of choice of fresh fruit, cereals and the locally sourced Welsh breakfast ingredients, cooked to order, added up to a real 5 star breakfast. I will definitely be going back .

When we eventually found the place we were pleased with the facilities. We were 1 hour trying to find it because the postcode on my booking reference was incorrect, finished up on a housing estate about 3 miles away. After driving for 5 hours this was very frustrating, not good in any way. However, the facilities we considered to be very good, all clean and tidy, very comfortable bed, very large room, shower was really good and big. We liked the little touch of the microwave cooker and the toaster in the reception area and the supply of tea, coffee , milk etc. We will certainly use Days Inn, Bridgend again when trvelling the M4. But please get the postcode correct for the drivers who use satnav.

It was an amazing stay in the hotel. The hotel is located next to the beach and the town. It is also very easy to get to the Great Ohm. The room is big and clean, although the design has not been modernised. The best thing about this hotel would be the price, which was very cheap, and breakfast, which was the best english breakfast I have ever had!

Excellent location, St Mary's street Close to Central station . Shop around for better prices like we did. Would definitely just this Hotel again

I stayed at Hotel One Hundred for 6 days and 5 nights. This is definitely a really lovely place which is near to Cardiff City Centre. The location is really convenient whereby there are pubs, takeaways and convenience store just right behind of the hotel. The decor in hotel is lovely and it feels just like home. Helene and the other staffs are really friendly at the hotel. They are very helpful where they would guide you around the city if you are not familiar with it. Also, the breakfast in the morning is great and I enjoyed it a lot throughout my stay. I would definitely come back to Hotel One Hundred again if I were to visit Cardiff again in the future.

I really enjoyed my stay there, really nice staff,so friendly and helpful all the time with a big smile in their mouth and lovely kindness. I stayed there to stay 3 days in a 4 bed room, actually it was like a Hotel, with lcd tv and sofa inside of that, so lovely, but there are something i don't really dare with it: Wifi, completely bad in the whole place, room and common areas. I highly recommend this place, but please guys, change the wifi, is absolutely terrible.

Although we had quite a comfortable stay at the Bryn Howel Hotel, and the setting is outstanding, one or two things were a little disappointing. On arrival, we found the bedroom door open as the catch did not work properly (although this proved useful on our second evening). Also, the bath panel was on the floor rather than on the side of the bath, but that my husband was able to fix. On the second evening, knowing that we would be returning late to the hotel, we did as asked and informed Receptiion, whereupon we were given the key code for the front door. When we returned, there was no-one in Reception, but the notice on the office door stated that room keys could be found in the Lounge Bar. Unfortunately, the Lounge Bar was locked. Only by knowing that the catch on the bedroom door didn't work properly were we able to access the bedroom. We did point this out to the staff member when we checked out, and she was quite apologetic. On our return home, we discovered that a family member had phoned the hotel and left a message for us, but it was not passed on - this was quite disappointing.

A bit of welsh hospitality which goes back the old days of good service and hospitality. Good location for touring North Wales

Stayed here for 2 nights and would definitely do so again. Hotel was a short walk (less than 10 minutes)from the International Arena where we were to see Michael McIntyre. Also near the shops and restaurants and nightlife. Whilst near all these, it was outside the main area, and so was quieter than a more central hotel would have been. We were on the side away from the road, but the road seemed relatively quiet, so rooms on the other side would probably be quiet as well. Our room was clean and largte enough, though it did need a bit of minor decoration in less visible areas. he hotel's public areas were also of good quality, and we particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. All the staff we encountered were polite and helpful. Would recommend this hotel, and will stay here again, especially at the price we paid through this website.

Pros: Great location, great rooms, very friendly and approachable staff. I would definitely book again but not not pay for the breakfast. Cons: Breakfast was poor, selection of salami meats and cheese but was not replenished so if your later or someone is a little greedy your out of luck. I came down on morning and with there was only a few slices of meat left, when asked for more, I was told once it’s gone it’s gone. On a lighter now there is a Wetherspoons two minutes away that will do a good cheap full English

My first YHA experience. It was fantastic. Everything very clean, great showers and kitchen facilities. The host/receptionist was brilliant, efficient, helpful, knowledgable and caring.

Ideal location for Wales Millennium stadium. Good value for money. Free parking but make sure you register your vrn at reception when booking in.

The hotel was lovely and clean with friendly staff. Downside the shower was small and not very powerful. The bathroom door didn’t seem to fit properly. Also we booked as a couple but only one bottle of water and one teabag which we didn’t realise until we went to make a cup of tea in the morning. Beautiful big bath towels.

My girlfriend and I had already stayed elsewhere the previous night as part of my 30th birthday celebrations, we were heading home and both decided that we wanted another night away. A quick and lucky Google search showed us Peterstone Court, and we are both so glad that we found it. The hotel itself is a beautiful house with plenty of character and squeaky floorboards, nestled in a very quiet spot in the valleys of Wales. Upon checking in we were made to feel welcome straight away, and shown to a stunning bedroom with a rather large four poster bed. We booked a table in the restaurant, more because we didn't want to try and find anywhere else after a long and tiring day, but this was another gamble that paid off. The food was sublime, the atmosphere was quite intimate and don't tell my other half, but I slightly fell in love with the Lamb that I ordered. Honestly, I think we've bored our families with talking about this place. Maybe they'll check it out for themselves now.

We had read a few negative reviews on this hotel but we had nothing to worry about our room was modern and lovely and warm .The public areas within the hotel could do with modernising but the bar area is tastefully decorated and friendly and the food was excellant .For the good price we paid we had great value for money and we would not hesitate booking this hotel again

To clarify my staff rating which I have only given two stars. This is pretty unfair I guess as the majority of the staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. However, I found the coffee staff had poor attitudes and one was particularly rude. I did wonder if she (and some of the others too) really wanted a job serving the public, she certainly hadn't got the aptitude for it. We did complain but I don't know if anything was said - probably it was as the service after was even worse. However, we had a very pleasant break. The Bulkeley is very good value for money. The food is good. Very dog friendly which was great for us, The decor is a little tired but generally I would recommend it.

Myself and my partner avoid B&Bs like the plague usually. They're just too hit-and-miss, and we've had such awful experiences that we find it safer to just book bigger hotels and chains. However, we were on a budget last weekend so chanced 'Leonardo's'. After ringing the bell to gain entry, we were met by a lovely lady who gave us our key and explained when breakfast was and how much, our room (3) was a VERY pleasant surprise as it had a large bay window with an uninterrupted view of Swansea Bay! Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean (small, but this is a B&B!), but the bed ... This was quite possibly the finest mattress we have ever slept on. It was so good, we've emailed the hotel so that we can purchase one of our own. Despite being a Saturday night, there were no endless banging doors from other residents, and the only negative really was the road noise (which really wasn't a huge problem). We will definitely be staying at Leonardo's again with pleasure!

We normally stay at a hotel not too far away from this one but as it was a last minute booking, we were unable to book a room. This one came up and we were lucky enough to be allocated a sea view room, at a very good price. The hotel was spotless, the staff friendly and although it was only a 2 star, it had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We willl definitely be booking again in the future.

the ground floor had just been refurbished as it had not long been taken over by new owners we spoke to the Lady owner she is very nice and very helpful along with the rest of her staff. The ground floor is the bar it's been refurbished to a very high standard it looks fabulous my girlfriend and I where we'll impressed. The upstairs is slightly out dated but hasn't been refurbished yet that's due to be done soon but it's nice it's clean tidy and well kept, Their is a nice warm feel about the place the location is great as well surrounded with rolling countryside. The breakfast is really good too you can help yourself to as much cereal and toast you can handle and whilst your freshly home cooked breakfast is prepared for you. The breakfast is really nice the sausages are out of this world pork and leek sausages, They are to die for home made from a local Welsh butcher in Conway. At the bar their is a large selection of drinks some local brewed beers and they sell some good quality whiskey's as well, The Tafarn Y Rhos is a lovely little guest house in a beautiful part of the world and has the potential to be even better. I would go back their again next time we where in Wales I would recommend it to anybody. Thank you for a nice stay!

We stayed for 2 days, sat to Mon. Right in the centre!! We were here when Wales played the new Zealand so Cardiff was heaving, so there was a lot of street noise which was copeable. Beds were comfortable with extra pillows and food in the hotel was tasty and reasonably priced. Your very close to clubs and bars which was very loud the Saturday night, so hotel could probably do with upgrading the Windows to double glazing, but we did have a street side room so probably very quieter at the back. All in all though we would recommend this hotel as everything was on its doorstep, staff were friendly and helpful.

Arrival at about 3 pm on a Sunday - but there was no one to greet us on reception! We waited for 10 minutes then wandered through and found a member of staff who could not find anyone either and was not trained to book us in. Eventually a member of staff came back to reception and apologised for her absence. After that blip we had a speedy check in, a beautiful, spacious and clean room and a large well appointed bathroom with a TV on the bathroom wall which doubled as a mirror but unfortunately that did not work and after making enquiries the staff confirmed that housekeeping had reported the issue but the handy person could not attend to it until Monday - after our departure. We ordered bar meals prior to our departure for an event in the town that evening and the meals were delivered to our room with no extra charge within 30 minutes. They were well priced, good portion sizes and delicious! An extremely comfortable bed, good choice and service at breakfast and professional and prompt checkout - would certainly consider staying there again.

This place takes hosteling to another level. Really well set up to help travellers on a budget while maintaining high levels of cleanliness. It's a place where people are genuinely being tourists - no long term drop outs hanging about. The hostel provides a wealth of information about Wales and other journey options, has places to relax, provides a great b/f and kitchen/dining facilities free from any institutional feel so true of many other options in the UK. My only 'main' is the door slamming - due to the way the doors are constructed. Without that, the place would be hard to beat.
