This must be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. If you stay in the Ocean View Club Suite you will absolutely LOVE your time at this Resort. The staff are the most amazing, cheerful, smiley and helpful I have experienced at any hotel and I have stayed at many resorts. This resort made the Laguna in Nusa Dua seem shit. Especially the same comparison!

Really good place to stay, compared to other hotels at Gili T this place is located at the west of the Island, away from the crazy parties of the east island. the view at the beach is superb This is one of the best hotels in Gili T in facilities (when compared to the others) The pool is olympic and amazing. Everyone really friendly but they dont understand that well english (still with google translator everything was easy to explain when they said "sorry sir, dont understand") I reccommend this place for couples I WOUDL SUGGEST TO always have launge and cool house music instead of pop looud muisic. We are escaping from occidental music to a dream island NOT listen to COMERCIAL pop MUSIC all the time haha gooood!

Rooms are ok--clean but very conventional / boring. The pool is huge, and the south-west beach location is quite good. I wouldn't recommend it over other places on the island except if you want cheap basic accommodation for 1 night, or for big groups.

amazing service by all staff at kebun. hotel transfers waited for us even though we were 2hours delayed. we got to the hotel and were greeted with a drink and wet towel. then promptly shown to our amazing room. the photos dont do this place justice. we booked a trip to the gilis through the front desk and wow! what an amazing trip. the hotel is located right behind the sheraton (apparently you can use their facilities - pool slides etc) and a short walk from the art market. we had planned to go into the town for dinner but after having lunch at the bamboo restaurant which is located in the hotel we literally didn't leave! the food was 5 star and always a huge dish for what you paid! we loved it. the staff were amazing although some have very little english it was not a problem though. in fact one of the restaurant staff was learning english and used us to practice - it was an amazing experience. the rooms were cleaned while you ate breakfast - speaking of which the breakfast was awesome! you had 4 options to choose from and if you were really hungry you could just order the works - eggs, waffles, croissants, bacon and sausage, museli - you name it they will be sure to have it. great value for money! awesome if you want to just relax in your own room - or play some pool and have some drinks by the main pool.

this hotel earned its exclusiveness of the island because the beach just feels like it was our own private beach, different than other gili trawangan region (west and south side of the island) that is fully packed with hotels and bars. for travellers that is looking for a place that's quiet and beautiful, to relax and avoid the crowded nightlife, this hotel is perfect. the breakfast are top notch quality, something that i would expect from a five star hotel, serving local and international foods, although for a few days the menu would be quite boring. something that we regret for choosing this hotel is it's lack of transportation, because of the location is on the far west side of the island, clearly it is difficult for us to go to the south and east side of the island to reach the harbour and the island center, the cidomo fare to this hotel is very pricey (rp for one way trip), the bike rent fare on this hotel is 2-3 times more expensive from the price that we can get on the east side of the island. for you who have strong legs, i suggest to walk a bit (30-45minutes) while enjoying the beautiful views of gili trawangan.

We are a group of friends of 5 person. We had experienced the 7.0 earthquake exactly after our late check in. However in such a terrible situation, the hotel staffs still act in a professional way to taking care all their hotel guests. They tried their best to accommodate us, provide us with blankets, drinks & breakfast in the situation of limited sources. We felt very warm. Although we no chance to stay there, the great hospitality already make us to give them 5 stars. Take care, and all will be fine soon. We sure will come back to your resort again in the future.

We stayed in 3 hotels while staying in the Gili Islands. They were all great, but Pink Coco was the best! The staff is amazing and treats their guests with 5 star service. We got our room upgraded upon arrival, but decided to take our original room because it was on the top floor and was quieter (you could hear people above you if they moved chairs, etc). The pool was fantastic, the Balinese massage was the best we had and guests got them for 50% off. The power shut off temporarily one night and they compensated us by reimbursing our massage. Breakfast was delicious and there were a bunch of options to choose from. The room was great, the bed was comfortable compared to the norm in SE Asia. It's a 5 minute bike ride to the main area. The only downside to the hotel was the limited sun beds by the beach which you could lie flat on. Most of the sun beds by the beach and pool were only good for lying on your back, not both. If we ever come back, we will definitely stay at Pink Coco again!

We picked this hotel mainly because of the value and reviews people gave. We only had 1 night in Lombok since we stayed mostly in Gili and had to catch a 6am flight the following day. The front desk reception was very kind to advise us what time we had to leave the hotel and booked a taxi for us for 430am. She was even kind to let us know that they will prepare a breakfast box since we couldn't use our breakfast voucher. The hotel is spread out and our room looks quite dated but was comfortable. TV had a lot of channels too including HBO to watch to sleep. Loved that they had tons of sun loungers and there was a sign to indicate where the snorkeling area and the best sunset view are located. Overall loved this place. It's also walking distance to other restaurants and massage parlors if you feel skint to pay hotel price. We were also happy to see that they even had a clinic within the hotel. My bf had a bad asthma attack so we dropped by to get him checked and get some medicine. Btw, taxi came on time and breakfast box was ready. So pleased with their service.

Only had one night at Avia, but it was a night to remember. The pool was very clean, staff always ready to help, the nightly barbecue offered big portions and the room as well as the private pool were very clean. The rustling of the thatched roof in the wind offered respite from the thumping coming across the water from Trawangan, but we were so tired and the bed was comfy enough to whisk us to sleep. Easy to book a glass-bottom boat nearby and for very cheap! And easy to board a private boat to Trawangan, although not so cheap. Again, staff already ready to help. I'd come back again!

This IS how other high class hotel should look up to. The level of service and staff attitude should be a hallmark for a 4 star hotel other international hotels should emulate. I stayed in room #4 thru Agoda which is the Cozy budget room. This is 1 of 4 small rooms that is 2-storied. Bottom floor is the bathroom and sitting area. A spiral stairway lead upstair to the small room with a queen size bed. Since the first 2 days we was on an all day-tour, a room with a bed is all we wanted. The upstair room is closer to the coconut trees, so at night all you hear is the leave waving sound as if it was raining. I am happy with the price I paid (same as booking directly thru the hotel). A day after I booked the cozy budget room, I changed my plan to stay 2 more nights to just relax in the resort. Since I have 48 hrs in the resort I choose Queen bed Ocean View. I thought me and my wife would make the most of our honeymoon. Therefore, I went to Agoda (I have been a faithful Agoda customer for the last 5 years making min 5 trips/yr) and made my booking. Like I said before the price booking directly thru the hotel website and Agoda is exactly the same. However, the Agoda voucher stated the room is for 1 occupant only. So I emailed to customer service requesting a new voucher with 2 person accommodation. PuriMas webpage stated 2-persons for the same room, same price, and for the same 2 nights of staying. I cut-and-paste the picture of the hotel webpage showing 2-person rate for the Queen bed Ocean View room. After 4 emails I got the reply from the customer service that they have to charge me double for 2 persons (1 person US$127 nett, 2 persons would be US$254). Outrageous! Even though I shown them the web link and a picture of what the hotel charged for 2 persons ($127 nett). They do not bother to verify. I then cancel the reservation thru Agoda and book the same room, same dates, same 2 person accommodation for US$127 thru PuriMas Hotel

I had a perfect stay. Literally everything this resort did was 5-star. From the chilled mango juice upon arrival after a long day of travelling, to the warm smile and eye contact of every single staff we walked by. You see, I come from the USA. I am used to the highest living standard the world has to offer, so you can assume I'm very picky. During my stay here, there was nothing bad I could find. This was not just an "average" place either. Nothing was just "okay". Everything was 5-star quality. My girlfriend and I kept playfully telling each other that we would quit our lives and just live here... Although I know deep down we wish we actually could have. ;) The resort is beautiful. Nice swimming big swimming pool in the middle. Trees and green intertwined with it all. 10 second walk from the beach. Restaurant is on the beach. Food will make you want to keep ordering more. Shaded bungalows on the sand will make you stare off across the shore for hours. Beds are very cozy. Aircon is cool. Bathrooms are big and fancy. Rooms are spacious. When I go back to Gili T someday, I am without hesitation booking with this resort. And whether or not this review is helpful for all you pessimists, for once, just trust in this review from some random stranger around the world... You won't regret it. ;)

After I did travel from Gili island , I choose this hotel for the last stop and this is my right choice ever! I was booked as a Neima ,when I came in the room ,is it so fabolous , all the photo I saw in here are true, well open bathroom , nice living room with many choices tv programme, the bed is awsome. First day, I was tired, so I stay in hotel's restaurant, although need to climb up a bit stair, it is worth it. There have Infinity pool beside, all waiters are very nice, they also can remember my name in the following days and also the food were delicious with the fair price, I had 2 nights dinner in there at last!!The hotel will had some activites for their guests but you need to look at a notice board for first and booking in the front desk, if not, they need more time to prepare. When we go out, they will care about do you need a car or taxi or not? It is called hotel service !!But if you go to the main road just walk 20 mins, that could get to the places have a lot of restaurant, souvenir shop, massage shop, when I had a dinner from outside, the road to walk back is a bit dark but could enjoy a starry night!! Everyday had many styles of breakfast and the lombok coffee, the swimming pool condition are very good, I spent a lot of time in this spot. The Svarga Resort are the best hotel in Senggigi area I think, the room price are fair and the staff in there are dedicated service for me.If you want the romantic, relaxing, beautiful hoilday, you should pick this one for no doubt!!

We live in Jakarta so we really appreciated the fact that there were no cars or motorcycles on Gili. The service provided by the Gangga dive shop was great. They collected our gear the first day we arrived. They had it ready to go on the boat everyday (and washed and dried it every evening). The dive conditions were fantastic with great visibility and lots of sealife. The sunsets on the West side of the island are amazing! Our only complaint was that the A/C units didn't get as cold as we would have liked. Overall a great stay and we will definitely be returning.

Stayed 5 nights here. The resort is new, the infrastructure is excellent with rooms well furnished & in-room router for strong wifi. Other amenities : cable-TV, good restaurant, pool, good room service, bicycles@ IDR40k/day. Lounge chairs outside room. The resort is also situated somewhat close to the middle of the island - convenient to head west for sunsets pics in the evenings via bicycles & also a little away from the noise of main party area. Note : 1)The restaurant food is excellent with Indonesian, Vietnamese fusion dishes if youre tired/dont fancy walking out to main area 2) Cidomo from resort to jetty is IDR100k 3) Bike rides around the coconut plantations in the middle of the island - wonderful experience.

Negatives: The rooms are not the same for Garden View. We booked it because of the great look/ description in the hotel website but the actual room can be different depending on whether you get the new villas or old villas. New villas will have the outdoor rain shower. Old section has normal rooms that look just like any other 4 star hotel room. The rooms are not full villas on their own. You get either upstairs or downstairs of a villa. The room is not soundproofed very well. We woke up to the sounds of the birds chirping - not in a good way. At the old villa where we stayed, the sound of the mosque was SO LOUD my BF woke up from his sleep at 5am. At Sudamala where we also stayed for two nights you can hear the sound of the mosque in the distance but it won't interrupt your sleep. We were also kept awake by one room who requested for a TV so we listened to the TV through the walls and roof until they switched it off. The spa rooms are very simple. Not really befitting of a 5 star hotel I suppose, but I still rate the entire hotel as 5 star for Lombok. Positives: The staff are all very friendly and helpful and informative. The service here is great, prob lacking only a tiny bit in comparison to Sudamala but we take it it's because they were at full capacity due to a wedding. The food is amazing. We had maybe one mediocre dish but everything else tastes wonderful. The hotel grounds are gorgeous. Prob the best in Senginggi/ Mansit area. 3 pools so you don't feel it's too crowded. Furniture/ furnishings in this hotel are gorgeous. You can tell they invested in quality furniture/ furnishings.

Even before we arrived, the way the owners replied to my email, I could tell that they have put in a lot of effort to make the Puncak perfect. If there was a stronger word than perfect, I would use it. From the time we arrived, we experienced the best hospitality in my entire life (and I travel almost every month). The rooms were perfectly clean and extremely comfortable, there was even a handwritten note by the owner Jean-Paul himelf and his wife. The hotel is focused on being environmentally friendly and organic, which is really awesome especially in the food. BEST MEALS EVER, served right outside your room. You have to order in advanced though, because they put in a lot of effort and love into preparing each meal, so it takes time. The views from the rooms are simply breathtaking, as the entire compound only has 5 rooms, the pool is practically like a private pool. The staff are super attentive to your needs, although you hardly see them (its like magic, really). Jean-Paul even dropped by on our last night to check on us, which is really nice of him. This place is perfect for healing, to get away from city noise, and its really really relaxing, we wished we could have stayed longer. This is by far the best getaway we've ever had, and definitely would never be our last stay in the Puncak. Kudos to the owners and the staff for creating, designing and building this heaven in Lombok, we appreciate ALL the details (from the marble on the wall, to the comfy bedsheets, to the fresh flowers in the room and at every meal, the FOOD which is THE BEST OMG). Hope to see you again soon!

Great villa with private pool. Wonderful staff always ready to help. Slighly far from main harbour area but just a 10 minute bike ride away. Close to restaurants on the north and west side of the island. Very quiet and private. Highly recommend.

I only wish I had booked two nights, I had only intended to stay in Mataram for 1 night and ended up booking the Golden Palace afterwards. I really can't find any faults in the service, appointment, look and feel of the rooms, the food was excellent, however different to my usual experience in Indonesia the portions were huge, I regret wasting some perfectly cooked food. Steamed white grouper, sate Balayak (Lombok style sate which comes accompanied by rice baked in a banana leaf and mahi mahi) everything was nicely presented and delicious. The included breakfast was nice, with many Indonesian and western options. Despite having a large and fairly deep pool the odd boomerang shape is not conducive to lap swim unless you do loops. Another unusual design feature is that the pool is only accessed through the lobby level restaurant (the same one where breakfast is served) which presents the problem of coming out dripping wet half naked through the restaurant surprising the diners. Internet is not particularly fast a general problem in the region. I really can't praise this property highly enough, it hits all the high notes at a price just not possible in the West. The roof top restaurant has amazing views as the hotel is reputed to be the highest building on Lombok (about 15 floors).

I think this is the second best hotel in the island. Even though I found a scorpion in my bedroom. So please go on reading, because giving a score to a hotel in Gili is not a simple matter. Swimming with colored fish and turtles in Gili was one of the highlights of our Indonesian trip. Really incredible. But there's a price to pay: you have to stay in Gili islands, and they are not a good fit for an urbanite like myself. The Vamana hotel is relatively modern and clean, and the staff is nice and helpful (I think there are at least 15 people working there, and the hotel has 15 rooms). Looking from the outside, I would say that Vamana is definitely one of the top 5 hotels of Gili T. The only one that is clearly better is the Aston Sunset Hotel, which is isolated on the other side of the island. Vamana is in an absolutely perfect location: just close enough that you can walk anywhere you want to go, but on the edge of town so it's relatively quiet and you can actually go to the beach just in front of the hotel without having to share it with a trillion boats. Plus, this particular beach is one of the best places for snorkeling with fish and turtles: just grab your mask&finn and go into the water! Now, the scorpion issue... It was black, and about 6-8cm long. I don't have pictures because I has busy trying not to cry like a little girl while the staff came to kill it. Scary as hell. We cut our stay by one night because of this: we were just not resting as we should. But this is not an issue with Vamana hotel, it's an issue with the island itself. What you'll find behind all the hotels (even the Aston Sunset) is just jungle. Things live there, and they wander. Episodes such as the one we had must happen once a month in the better hotels, once a week in the not-so-great ones (they told us Vamana does a monthly anti-pest spray, which was coming the week after we left; maybe it should happen once every two weeks, but others may not even be doing any).

Upon arrival I was told I'd be "upgraded" to the suite/villa with the private pool for 1 night because the superior rooms which I'd booked were all full. If I were to ever stay at this hotel again I would not stay in the villa. It could be good for a group that wants to stay together, you have some privacy as there are 2 rooms within the area that share a private pool and have a separate door... but I would choose the superior room. Why? The bathroom in the villa is outdoors which means there are a lot of bugs and boy are there A LOT of bugs at night- hermit crabs, beetles/water bugs, tons of caterpillars (harmless of course) not only in the bathroom but the bedroom too. It was a little uncomfortable seeing the caterpillars all over the floor and having to watch my step making sure not to squash any. The bathrooms leave seomthing to be desired. In the superior room the bathroom is a room that includes a toilet, sink, and shower. Everything together. It's a little gross to be showering with the toilet. The rooms were clean though- basic, but clean. Lighting in the room is good. Good housekeeping. The location is great- very close to the harbor that you arrive at, very close to all restaurants and bars...but it can be loud. The villa was quiet because it's at the back of the hotel. The superior room I stayed at was in the front so it was loud! The pool is nice as others say, right in front of the hotel. The breakfast seemed lacking but the restaurant has a nice view! If you want something romantic I suggest the south, north or west. For party time, this is the place. For the price, it can't be beat.

We stayed at the Novotel Kuta for 3 nights in August. On arrival we were informed that they had overbooked and the deluxe room we had booked was not available. We were then offered an upgrade to a villa, however this upgrade was not complimentary as it should have been and they made us pay an extra $100 USD. The room was amazing and we still got it for a lot cheaper than the normal rate, but forcing us to pay for their mistake in overbooking was terrible customer service, we asked if we could have breakfast included to compensate for their error and they refused. If this had not happened then our stay there would had been perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the food is great- best we've had in a hotel, however the drinks are overpriced with a small beer costing 45,000 rupiah, double what we had paid in other hotels. The pool is strangely positoned elevated right next to the restaurant with no decking surounding it and for a large resort only very small. They have a large expance of beach which is mostly unused, and nearly all the sunbeds are on the beach. These all filled up very quickly and we noticed a lot of people 'claiming' a chair first thing in the morning by placing their towel on it then going away. We just walked up an removed the towel and laid on the chair anyway - the hotel needs to enforce a policy that if you are not present and using the chair you can not claim it. We did really enjoy our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Kuta. Sunset from up the hill with 360 degree views of the bay was amazing. I hope my review doesn't sound too negative because despite these few minor things we had a wonderful stay and would definately stay there again and really enjoyed ourselves.

Excellent. I was with my eldest daughter who was 20 and my youngest daughter who was 5. Both enjoyed their stay so much. We built sand castles, looked out for nice corals or shells, swam in the pool, lazed around, went to Sengigi for lunch some days, visited the pearl farm, headed Gili one of the days and enjoyed the huge waves. A tip, please bring your booties (scuba) or sandals to walk in the sea. You can borrow the mask and snorkel but there is no life jacket for young kids. So bring your own, as we did and my youngest daughter enjoyed the snorkelling at the beach. Lovely sunset! As we are on the west side, no sunrise but the sunset views are breathtaking! Buy sea cultured pearls, they are a steal and very good quality especially the gold coloured ones! We will be back!

New hotel, with good facilities everything was new and clean the downside was we knew the hotel is still getting build and we have asked them to make sure we are away from the constructions and they have noted this... and they put us literally under the constructions area... not very happy. But location and everything else was good.

Having a private pool that you can actually swim in and a huge spacious villa that is quiet and private is really fabulous especially since we are city dwellers. We had a fantastic relaxing stay at the hotel. The staff is attentive and the manager actually came by to ask us if there's anything we need. Though the walk to the main busy stretch of the beach is about 30 minutes, we enjoyed out nice walk. The walk to a much more quiet beach which features a fabulous sunset is 15 minutes walk from the villa. Having said that, I think personally, the location is fantastic in the sense that while we enjoy the privacy and quiet surroundings of the hotel, we can also choose to walk to the busier beach or the quiet beach from the hotel. for those who don't like walking, the staff is able to arrange for a horse carriage to pick you up or you can choose to ride the bicycles provided in your room though I won't recommend using the bicycles as they are kinda old, part of the trail is bumpy and the streets are quite dark in the late evening (unless you don't paying a 100000 deposit to loan out a small torchlight from the hotel). The breakfast menu is pretty standard (American, Continental and traditional) though I wish the staff would be able to get our eggs done in the way we want correctly (they made the mistake twice). The menu is pretty limited but that was fine since the restaurant we went to at the main stretch of the island is fantastic, serving delicious grilled seafood and kebabs at a reasonable price. One important thing to note is the hotel does not provide 24 hour room as stated by Agoda.

After my initial booking for 4 nights I extended for another 3 - this place is impossible to leave. I've worked and lived in Indonesia for several years now, this is one of the best resorts I've ever stayed at! The staff is incredibly friendly, so attentive and never stops smiling. Loved all the little details and amenities, from the lemon or cucumber flavoured water by the pool and the daily fresh fruit "sate" to the cookies and water bottles next to your bed when you come back after dinner. Food, especially and smoothies are tasty and the massage is iust heavenly relaxing. Again, one of the best one's I've ever had on the island! The environmental friendly focus is much appreciated from bottled water to paraben free soap. Thanks again for an absolutely wonderful stay, I'll be back for sure and will spread the word. Can't wait to see the wonderful staff again. Sampai bertemu lagi! P.S.: In case I forgot to mention, the rooms as well as facilities including pool are spotless and clean. It helps that the place is still knew so please keep it up that way!

Villa Karang is very close to the Gili Air harbor which meant we didn't have to pay a horse & buggy to take us to the hotel (they charge a fortune, 150K IDR for a 10 min ride??!). They didn't have our room ready just yet but gave us a free welcome drink and a cool refreshing cloth (we'd just hiked Rinjani so we were filthy). Within 10 min we were in the room which was very comfortable. Nice little porch, awesome outdoor shower. Only complaint about the rooms is that the walls are *VERY* thin, so we could hear everything our neighbors said or did. If you're looking for a hotel where you can just walk right out on to the beach, I'd recommend staying on either the East or North side of the island. We had to bike for about 10-15 minutes before we got to a good lounging beach with snorkeling. The harbor is packed with boats and dive centers trying to snag customers so it wasn't a relaxing location. We'd leave after breakfast and then make our way to either the E or N beaches to stay all day, returning after dinner to the hotel.

We rented a villa w/pool, the best value for the money. So nice to just relax in your own room pool outside your villa. Room was equipped with everything, even a dvd player. Outside modern rain shower shower head. Free bicycle rental to all guests staying there. It is about a 5-7 min bike ride to the main road. The main mode of transport is the horse drawn buggies, so be careful as you ride, they do trot along quickly on the road and it is to narrow for both the horse cart and a bicycle to pass. Just something to be aware of. You can easily ride around the island from where you started in about 30-40 mins of riding with some stops here and there. Wifi in the room was great, no problems picking up a signal everyday. There is a large common pool in the restaurant area for all to swim if you do not rent a pool villa. The property is very natural, quiet, could barely hear the mosque call to prayer, faint muffling sound. Such a peaceful, relaxing place, you will not forget this hotel. They have a sister property on Gili Meno, no horse carts, bicycles and walking is the mode of transpo on Meno. Everyone at Ottalia is super helpful, even the owner (who is French)came out from behind the check-in desk to ask us if we had any problems with our bicycles. We said, the tire light would not lock in place against the tire to generate power to light up, so he actually got positioned correctly and fixed it. The restaurant breakfast was tough, what I mean is, you can only order one main course breakfast item, eggs or french toast, its one or the other. They also havey two flavors Muselix cereal; chocolate and banana I believe, Yogurt and fresh fruits. Toast with assorted jams/jellies. Coffee, tea, milk, juices. Arggghhh! So, breakfast if pretty light for the appetite. If the hotel was to upgrade its kitchen and menu, I feel this would make the hotel very complete in a perfect place to stay and eat. We will definitely stay here again! Well worth the money!

Origin Lombok provided a fantastic service for the entire duration of our stay. The room was lovely and clean, with all the necessary facilities and amenities. The enclosed bathroom is absolutely perfect, containing a walk in shower and toilet, simple but with some nice touches to make it feel high end. There is also a mini bar, tv, safety deposit box and terrace with bed and bean bag to chill. The bed within the room is large and comfortable. When staying make sure you check out the resort restaurant, the food is absolutely delicious and impeccably presented whilst also being reasonably priced. My partner and I have eaten at many restaurants around Indonesia and this one is right up there with the best. The pool and bar area is a great place to chill, with the surrounding forest and hills it is a unique and very picturesque place to relax and have a swim and drink from the extensive range offered. As well as the facilities offered, the staff are a pleasure to be around, always so friendly and willing to help, each member of the team is an absolute credit to the resort. Whilst the resort is fantastic, the surrounding areas are a must see during your stay, conveniently the hotel offers a scooter hire service, which is very simplistic, so definitely do this and enjoy Kuta!

I loved this hotel. It had a wonderfully grand, old world feel to it. The gardens are breathtaking, with some gorgeous trees and plants, better than Kew Gardens. Wandering around I felt like I was in paradise. The beach is not the best in the world, the sand is not so white and the water not so clear. But it was pleasant enough. You may find it hard to get a sun lounger if you arrive at the beach after lunch. The pool is lovely, one if the nicest I've seen. The reception area and restaurants are luxurious. You definately feel like you are in a five star hotel. The rooms are a bit tired, but clean and spacious with everything you will need. Comfy beds, fluffy bathrobes, mini bar ( room to store your own drinks in too), good array of toiletries (although no shower gel), lots of lighting, big choice of tv channels, room service menu, terrace or balcony with seating. The location at the edge of town is great, only a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants. It's about an hour and 15 mins from the airport and cost about £10 by taxi. I previously stayed at the Novotel in Kuta and I much preferred The Sheraton. And I liked Senggigi. I had read bad things and expected it to be ugly and big and horrible. But it's a small pleasant town. The Novotel and the Sheraton are roughly the same price (£70-£84 per night when I booked) so I think The Sheraton is way better value. There are not many places in the world that you can stay in a grand five star hotel right on a beach for under a £100 a night. I will certainly be back.
