Very nice place to stay, good services with smile”
This is my first time have been go to Glasgow, Scotland. When i am little late checked in because of delayed flight, staff was very nice always smile and gave more information about place of interest for tourist attractions. The staff place me at a big room with a king size bed, room is very clean, hotel environment is very quite so that good for take a rest after have sightseeing. Location is very near to Sauchiehall Street is one of the main shopping/business streets in the city center of Glasgow, Scotland. Along with Buchanan Street and Argyle Street, it forms the main shopping area of Glasgow, containing the majority of Glasgow's high street and chain stores. Breakfast was good with all the menu you can choose. And only 10 minutes by walk to Buchanan Bus/Coaches station. I love this hotel and for next visit i will stay at this hotel again.

Best option in Glasgow for an affordable night out”
Lived in Glasgow for many years and came back wanting a night out in our old favourite bars on Sauchiehall Street. All the hotel options were overpriced and pretty poor - when did glasgow hotels become such a rip off. This was a great option - fab price, great location, basic but very clean and comfortable room. Perfect!

Really pleased with my stay at the hotel. Reasonable price, clean, nice staff. Sometimes it can be difficult to get a hotel in Glasgow. Would happily stay here again.

Small but comfortable”
This place was booked on a really short notice because my brother was coming in from Singapore, and the hostel I was staying at previously no longer had space for him. For the cost, this hotel really gives a value for money, because as backpackers, we didn't need to worry about stolen luggage. Room was small and cozy, there was still space to dump 2 big backpacks and hang our clothes. Found dirty water that has been left for days in the water flask, but the young guy at the counter immediately switched a new flask for me. Breakfast was provided the next morning for three pounds extra, and I recommend this, because the options for a full Scottish breakfast was unbelievable. We ate so well. The counter staff (all of them) were extremely helpful in showing us about Glasgow, along with a lot of tales of old Glasgow hahaha it was good.

Friendly staff, Highly rated breakfast.”
One night midweek stopover close to main shopping area, Nice pleasant staff, Breakfast was 5 stars highly rated and not to be missed, Only negative is a good walk to Glasgow Central train station, hotel is a bit dated and could to with a makeover but overall very happy with stay and would stay again in the future, got a very good deal for a midweek stopover and was very happy all in all i would rate this hotel 8 out of 10.

Great value and Great Breakfast”
I'd read several very negative reviews after I'd booked and wasn't looking forward to my stay. Utter nonsense - the hotel was great. My room was really comfortable and warm and the bed was very comfortable. The location is only 10-15 minutes walk from the centre. There are a few steep streets nearby but that is the only truth of the negative reviews. Some guests made out it was mountaineering walking up the steps to the entrance - grossly exaggerated. And the rooms and facilities are absolutely great. It's clear some reviews were written by people who had been pampered as children - unable to leave the house until the nanny had wiped their noses for them. The best thing was the breakfast - very welcome after waking up on New Year's Day. Friendly waitresses and you could have anything and everything on the menu. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone (except spoiled brats)

Comfortable Stay, Large Room”
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, and the hotel was located near the Glasgow University (Arts) area. However, it was relatively far away from the central station of Glasgow and took around 20 mins walk to get there.

Fine for short stay”
This hotel was ideal for an overnight stay. Quiet area and nice breakfast. Great value for money. Staff friendly and room basic but acceptable. Location is very handy for city centre shopping and is in a quiet area with no street noise at night. Breakfast was ideal and plentiful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is on a budget.

Good for the value, clean and comfortable”
Hard to find parking on the street, have to pay for permit parking, park in a different street then walk to hotel. This is expected since the location is in the center of town.

A bit disappointing. Somewhat dilipidated, misleading price”
I can not fault neither the staff or location I have to say I am a bit disappointed. I was led to believe this was a high class hotel as when I booked it I got a 75% discount. I paid 75 euro per night, but the hotel looks like it was last renovated 20 years ago. I think this discount is just a trick to lure customers in. Outside I saw soda cans scattered on the grounds. Nobody during the 3 days I stayed bothered to pick them up. The room was fairly spacious, but the remote was not working well. The bathroom felt very dated. I was led to believe from the description there would be parking on site(another reason I chose it), but in fact it was on the street and you had to buy city vouchers. Luckily it wasnt too expensive or hard to find parking though. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room is tiny and could not accomodate the amount of guests, so often you could not get a table and had to wait. There is no elevator either, so with a top room not easy with heavy suitcases.

What a Dump”
I do not recommend anyone using this hotel. I booked this as a treat for my wife who loves Rennie Mackintosh the hotel had nothing to do with him or his work and is an affront to his name. The price is absolutely ridiculous, this place is lucky to get 1* rating The staff were abrupt and unfriendly, the whole place was run down. You might forgive some issues if the staff were making an effort but the whole place was filthy and even simple cheap repairs were not being done. There was a few Rennie Mackintosh touches but no more than any other old Glasgow hotel, con. The receptionist wanted to photo copy my credit card even though I had paid online before arrival ???? I will put a review on Tripadvisor with pictures.

Pleasant stay in a clean room”
Pleasant stay in a city centre location. Room was clean, staff were nice- breakfast was excellent

Decent place to stay”
It's an old building, so I didn't have high expectations arriving. The room had a strange oder (maybe because the bathroom fan didn't work) and the toilet didn't flush properly. The walls are paper-thin, so you can hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms/bathrooms. Tiny dining room but decent food for the price. Location is 20 min walk from the center, so not bad. The kind and helpful staff definitely made up for the hotel's few shortcomings.

Basic accommodation in city centre”
I stayed here for two nights while visiting friends. THe room was very small, basic amenities, and was located up 3 flights of stairs. The hotel itself is also located up quite a steep street. Not a problem for myself, but worth considering if you have physical limitations. THe bed was comfortable, the bathrooms basic, with towels but nothing else provided. As a place to rest my head it was fine, if a little expensive compared to what was offered. The location is very good though, right beside the Art School, and 1 minute's walk from Sauchiehall street.

Good central location”
The staff was friendly and helpful (though one guy liked to talk so much that he was hard to escape from). The room was really comfortable though I don't know why it was two single beds together instead of a double bed. The location was quite good.
