"After visiting Port Aurthur. We checked in manor. We stayed here for a night as our based as it was very close to Richmond. The room had a bathtub which we had a great soak. I like e firm bed (to each of its own) E lady owner was nice and friendly. I woke up early to feed the horse/alpaca/chicken and sheep. There are 2 adorable dogs onsite. We like the look of the manor. Feels like a cottage. Its near to e airport too. I would recommend this place. "

"Neat, clean, well supplied with the essentials for independent stay. Owners were friendly and helpful (without being intrusive) with whom I enjoyed a pleasant chat. Accommodation is within walking distance of shops and local attractions. Though on one of the central roads in Richmond, noise was not a problem.I will be staying again on my next visit as Hobart is only 20 minutes away. Stay without the traffic and parking issues."

"We had a lovely 3 night stay in The Retreat at Richmond Barracks. It was clean, a good size with a separate bedroom. It had a modern bathroom and kitchen area. A nice breakfast food basket was provided each day. It is set in the quiet historic village of Richmond which is about 20 minutes outside Hobart. The village had a good choice of restaurants and also a pub and small supermarket. Larger supermarkets and takeaways were located in the nearby town of Sorell about 13km away. It's only 20km from the airport. We would definitely recommend this accommodation."

"Look no further, an absolutely amazing place to stay in Richmond, Tasmania. Kim and Sharon are so nice, friendly and perfect hosts. Nice, clean and cosy place. A nice spread of Breakfast basket includes freshly baked hot bread (best bread I ever had!), eggs straight from the farm, orange juice, butter, jam, cereal, fresh milk and yogurt! We joined the morning farm tour which was very nice, feeding the horse, alpacas, sheeps, chickens and cute rabbits.. Thank you Kim and Sharon, we love you and your amazing farm. We definitely stay at Taras Richmond Farm if we come to Tasmania again. "

"A nice place just 15 mins from the Hobart International Airport. The cottage is well decorated and we gazed in awe when we check-in the cottage. Every details is so fine and Maureen, the owner touch up these details herself. Nice! The cottage is comfortable and warm during the winter days. Each room has a heater (including the bathroom) so this save us a lot during the cold nights. The cottage is self-contained and you can enjoy and relax in the couch provided in the living room. Maureen also left us good amenities and selection of cocoa, tea and coffee and some biscuits in case we are hungry at night as the shops in Richmond closes at 6pm. Maureen's banana pancakes for the breakfast was also very good and her service was very good. We enjoyed chatting with her. The place is close-by to winery and cheese cottage for your discovery. The hotel restaurant in the center of the Richmond town also serves good bar meals and good steak. This is an ideal place if you want to stay near airport."
