Staff very friendly and helpful. Visit was post Covid and some renovations to rooms being undertaken. The location by the river was fantastic as the water from the Hydroelectric plant gets released every afternoon and amazing to watch the level of the river rise dramatically.

So nice place nearby the river”
Everything was good there. The staff was amazing (but be careful they don't peak good english). The bungalow was original and very good with a huge balcony direct to the river. Food is excellent. Location not that good but you can ask staff to order a tuktuk to go to the lake. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Quirky accomodation, but perfectly good.”
Stayed one night prior to visiting the Ratchaprapha Dam. Accomodation was a bit basic but sound enough, had a lovely evening drinking G&T's on the balcony. Food was on a par with the accomodation, nothing fancy but perfectly good. Slight word of warning, southern Thai dishes are loaded with chillies and are a lot hotter than you'd get in BKK!

Beautiful location, decent price”
Older bungalows and facility. Could use some updating, but was decent overall for the price. Nice location on the river and a short drive to the dam welcome center/ park and overlook. We had a River view bungalow, however don’t expect a lot of water. River water level is controlled by the dam (they typically open up the dam at night) and was very low during the day. Breakfast was self serve traditional Thai (rice soup, noodles, boiled eggs and the like) so don’t expect anything fancy or non-Thai.

The view from the room next to the jungle was nice. The look of the capsule house was funky from outside but inside it was quite small. There was no handle for the stairecase. So it would be a little bit tricky if you have big luggages. Inside the room there were ants. There is no proper lobby area. Staff was ok although not helpful and not so friendly. One of the staff rushed me to pay for the room for the next night we are going to stay despite the fact that we just had accident and arrived at the hotel late while we were exhausted.

Mosquito heaven”
If you ever wondered where mosquitos are born , raised and taught... then River view is the place you will find them. A lovely quaint place, but a difficult stay for foreigners. The staff speak NO English and we found the facility very much geared at locals. The huts are interesting and sweet, but probably just a quick stop over, rather than a place for a family to stay for a holiday.

Terrible Staff”
When you arrive the first thing you see is a fallen down sign thats says something like" iver w sort" I guess at some stage it said River View Resort....not a great start and sets the standard for the property. On arrival the staff treated us like we were intruding on their peaceful afternoon. No hello or welcome ...nothing. Breakfast was also the same no good morning, again felt like we were intruding.

Tear down the shanties, build a real resort”
I'll say this: the restaurant was pretty good, the bed was spacious and comfy, and the location was lovely. But the staff is only marginally professional, the facility was beyond primitive, and the walkways in places are actually hazardous. Keep looking -- you can do better.

Unfriendly staff, shower head not working. But the real frustration was the chickens which lived under the Bungalow and kept is up all night, along with the music playing from the restaurant early in the morning which also prevented us from sleeping. Go somewhere else. Food was ok though.

No River at RIVER VIEW RESORT”
1) never have enough water to call it RIVER view. Very disappointed 2) old toilet. No separated wet and dry area. Need to be renovated asap! 3) so late breakfast (only start at 8am) 4) considering the experience , not worth the paid price
