Best Hotel we stayed in Vietnam”
the romance hotel was the perfect location for us to explore hue. we personally found that except of the imperial city is not much to do in hue city. so enjoy the time in this fabulous hotel, having a drink on the roof top or a massage in the spa and visiting the sights in between. the prices were also ok especially during the spa happy hour. it is quite a distance to the imperial city but all the other hotels are in the same area. i found the housekeeping outstanding, they serviced the room without a trace.. ahhh and the breakfast was delicous, a huge variety!

The Pearl of Hue wonderful service & staff.”
Arrived in Hue tired & dirty after ovenight Sleeper Train from Hanoi (never again). Despite our appearance reception staff were expecting us with a great welcome and used our first names. Shown to our room...........we were delighted as it was more than we expected, bigger & better. Jacuzzi was fine & we retired to soak our bones at leasure. We ate in the hotel restaurant and although it was a little more costly than in the town the quality combined with service was really excellent. Of note was Fha, she always had a beaming smile and went out of her way to give good service. On our Wedding Anniversary we ate in the restaurant, a lovely event and after drinks on the roof terrace retired to our room. What a surprise was in store, the hotel had provided a cake and a very good bottle of wine and would not consider payment. In all a week of good experiences and we plan to visit again. As a footnote....nothing seemed too much trouble, many UK hotels should take note. Romance Hotel is recommended when in Hue and ic superb value for money. We were made to feel special.

Great Hotel, excellent service, friendly staff”
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Romance Hotel in Hue, it was only a block from the river (about a 2-3 minute walk), the rooms were large, very clean, well supplied and maintained and quiet, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was wonderful and varied. Excellent value for the price, we will certainly stay at the Romance hotel the next time we are in Hue. The hotel offers tours at a reasonable price and is happy to arrange the rental of a car and driver for you, again at a very reasonable price.

Great hotel and very generous staff”
I organized a private car through the hotel to collect our group of 6 from the airport, once arrived a sweet young lady called Mai collected our clan and took us to the Romance. Once we arrived, the very helpful bellboys took care of the luggages. In the meanwhile, Mai sat us down at the very comfy lobby sofas to check us in and a hot cup of tea was served to greet us. We all felt instantly welcomed, there were free Internet access, about 4-5 computers available in the main lobby and free wifi. The hotel itself provide a good range of amenities and services. Spa including sauna, massage, mani/pedi, for about $8-$10 u get a well worth body massage for an hour. I visited with the rest of the clan every night for a different treatment. There is a pool on the 11th floor, this floor is also shared with the buffet breakfast. Breakfast buffet was average, u have the eggs, pho or bun Bo hue, fresh fruits.. If you skip breakfast you won't be missing out on much. But.... Awesome beer garden!! The staff are gorgeous in the hotel! So helpful, they will literally do anything to make your stay memorable. It's very clean and new, I think only 2 years old, we spoke to a lot of the staff and their English was great. People in Hue are sincere, really enjoyed our stay at the Romance. Will be back ;)

beautiful hotel close to the river”
the romance hotel is a gem of a hotel in hue. i've been to hue twice, and it rained the entire time on both occasions, so my view of the city is a little skewed. however, staying at the romance hotel more than made up for the rain-soaked attempts to enjoy the city. my entire family and i took full advantage of the spa with wonderful massages that were very reasonably priced. the rooms were also some of the nicest rooms i've rooms i've stayed in in vietnam. if i ever decide to give hue a third shot, i'll definitely be staying at the romance again.

help when you need it”
While staying at this hotel I was pickpocketted in the market place and wanted to make a report to the police so the stats don't keep showing nil crime because noone can be bothered to report. the hotel liaison officer organised another laision office to come on her day off to take us to the police station and do the hour long interpretation and translation process of our long had report. I know its not seem the most important thing for a hotel rating but when you get that level of support when you really needed it, when you are away from home is one example I can only say the real service is above what i would anticipate most places can provide. Thanks again management and staff at the Romance hotel. One quirky thing when we arrived they advised us we had a non-smoking room and we had both gone outside for a smoke when we arrived. The greeting liaison person reminded us very politely no durian and no smoking in the room please. One day my partner was unwell and we put up the do not disturb sign to let her rest. We had a lovely note slipped under the door to enbsure all was fine and when we asked if the room could be made up later they were happy to oblige. The view from the breakfast/restaurant on the top is excellent. Would I want to be in Hue in the heat without a pool ..no. Their rooftop pool works fine for me.

Good hotel in very good conditions and clean”
we were very happy to stay at romance hotel in hue. location is good. the view from the swimming pool (top roof) is nice. it overlooks the city. the choice of breakfast was a bit limited. but overall the ratio price/comfort/location is perfect as the price we got from agoda was unbeatable! we would recommend this hotel to anyone who intends to visit hue.

we stayed for 2 nights in the romance hotel in hue. after our long train journey from hanoi we were warmly welcomed on arrival by hang, a member of the reception staff. all our special requests were provided and hang personally showed us to our room. our accommodation was large, modern and comfortable. our breakfast was served on the 11th floor with great views of the city. it was without doubt the best breakfast we had during our 3 week tour of vietnam. this hotel is excellent value for money.

Nice rooms, good service”
my wife and i stayed at the romance for 2 nights in january 2012. it is a modern hotel that caters to a fair amount of tour groups but they handle it well. our room was large, clean and comfortable with a good bathroom and tub. the staff was friendly, spoke decent english and were helpful arranging our bus ticket to hoi an with a hotel pick up. we were on the 8th floor so we had a view although the city view is not so inspiring if you are not right next to the imperial city. the location was good, 2 blocks from the river, a twenty minute walk to the imperial city and 2 blocks to a small street that had several good restaurants and 2 lively bars. the street the romance is on isn't too busy so there isn't a lot of street noise. there is a wide selection at breakfast of vietnamese and western food. we had one other meal at the restaurant that was good and reasonably priced for the value. there is a pleasant smallish pool on top of the hotel although we didn't use it due to cool weather. overall this hotel is a good value. the only negative is housekeeping seems to come to the room a bit often to restock the mini bar or change towels instead of doing it all at once.

Nice hotel, good breakfast, wifi needs improving”
We had a lovely stay at the romance in Hue. 3 nights is probably one too many for Hue, but the hotel was lovely so we enjoyed the facilities. Breakfast selection great, though if you get caught in the middle of a tour group eating it's a bit crazy. Internet not great in rooms, but 4 computers in reception to use so didn't really bother me. Would recommend, and would return to try out the spa!

Great location, great hotel”
we loved this hotel. the location was one short block from the river. the staff were all eager to please and many spoke engish. the rooms were huge and well maintained with all amenities. the was a king sized bed in the room which was very comfortable. the hotel were able to book tours for us at a reasonable price. breakfast was included and there was a good selection of western and asian foods. the pool is a good size and has lounges and chairs around it. it was clean and well maintained. there is a roof top area where you can sit and look out over hue. you could order drinks up here as well. overall, a very pleasant place to stay. if we return to hue we would stay here again.

the romance hotel is definitely a great hotel: nice and helpful staff, big and clean rooms with a nice bathroom, a good restaurant on the top with a huge view over hue, a nice little pool on the top to relax. the hotel is located in an area with bars and restaurants around. to the zitadelle it is about 15-20 minutes to walk. i would really recommend this hotel to anyone!

Great value hotel”
I stayed at Romance hotel from 2 April - 4 April 2019. I could not believe the large inviting foyer. The reception staff were extremely courteous, pleasant and ever ready to assist with any inquiry. They went out of their way to recommend to me a great cafe restaurant that had a fabulous selection of Vietnamese dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this cafe. The breakfast at Romance Hotel was outstanding. The restaurant had an outdoor eating area overlooking the city . There was a sparkling pool on the same floor adjacent to the restaurant. Thank you Romance Hotel. Will certainly stay at you place again and can without hesitation recommend this hotel to any tourist looking for a great place to stay at. Fred B. This hotel is great, central to everything in Hue, friendly helpful staff and extremely comfortable beds. The most disappointing thing about this hotel was the shower. You actually had to sit in the bath to use the shower hose and it was extremely uncomfortable. I am unsure if it was this particular room type or if all the rooms have this same facility. This was disappointing as it took the romance out the experience. The hotel has free high speed wifi and an selection of tv channels. It was excellent value for money.

Favourite hotel in Vietnam”
This hotel provided spectacular value for money and service. we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff upon arrival who helped us with making our next arrangements. We then were shown to our beautiful room with a great view across Hue. It seemed as though throughout our stay that the staff knew exactly where we were at every moment as each time we left the hotel our room was serviced. We also thorougly enjoyed our breakfast and relaxing in the rooftop pool. The staff were helpful in providing us recommendations on where to go and also with the prices to expect. I will definitely stay here again if I get the chance to return. I am only sorry I didn't have any extra money on me to give a generous tip to show the staff how much we appreciated their care and attention.

We were only in Hue for one full day and enjoyed the accommodation for 2 nights at the Romance Hotel. We booked 2 rooms, though we had 6 members of our family. They were helpful in adding a cot to each room to accommodate all of us - for a reasonable rate.

Romance Hotel Hue”
We stayed in the Romance Hotel for 2 nights and paid less that a night which was excellent value. The hotel was lovely. Nice big rooms, lovely clean communal areas and a nice pool on the roof. The breakfast was very good and there was a huge selection. It was served on the restaurant on the top floor with amazing views of the city. The hotel is still in a 'soft opening' phase and some building work was going on during our stay so the noise was a bit of a pain and started at 7am which was a bit early. Also, we had some time to wait before our evening flight and the hotel staff didn't seem to like us hanging around in the lobby waiting for our taxi. Other than that a very good hotel and I would reccomend this hotel to other travellers.

we had a great stay at this hotel. the room was very clean and quiet and we had a lovely view of the city. the location of the hotel is perfect for walking about the town, and there are lots of hotels and shops close by. the breakfast buffet is note worthy; they have anything you could want and while you eat you can enjoy the marvellous 360 degree view of the city from the restaurant on the 11th floor. the staff was very attentive and frindly...we have no complaints about anything. the next time i am in hue, this is where i will be staying.

i really enjoyed my stay at romance. the service provided by staff was really top-notched. umbrellas were provided at my convenience. the rooms was well furnished and really clean. i enjoyed staying in the room as much as visiting hue. i was expecting much more from the international breakfast offerings. i felt the positive reviews on this aspect were overrated. maybe i had a taste palate.

Nice hotel in good location”
Spent 2 nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay due to it's great location, nice rooms, perfect pool temperature and friendly staff. Apparently the hotel is still in the soft opening phase so many features of the hotel are new. In saying that we did notice a couple of small building issues like faulty floorboards and loose toilet roll holders but this did not detract from the stay. The pool and restaurant on the top floor give you panoramic views of Hue and the location is close to many of the South Bank restaurants. If the hotel were to turn on the air conditioning in the restaurant and public areas it would make it very pleasant. During our stay these areas were a little stuffy and warm. Overall I would recommend this hotel and hopefully they can fine-tune the little things to make the stay even better.
