Very satisfied with the single room which I booked. staff was well mannered, friendly, nice to chat with and patient about my queries. Understanding that I didn't change Ringgit currency before going and agrees for me to pay the next day. Location wise could be improved if moved somewhere closer to Legoland and places of interests. Need to catch a cab to Legoland and Puteri Which costs RM7 Variety of facilities and games within the hostel. Big living room and kitchen. fully satisfied and will be back the second time and beyond.

It has been a good experience to stay at Roof Talk Theme Hostel so far. However, i was told that there will be no longer female dorm available in the furture. I hope the management team can change their decision on this.

No Worries”
Rooms clean, beds good, air con cold, bathrooms okay. Price good. Felt like there was a lot of family hanging around all the time. Not for young backpackers due to lack of atmosphere. A few bars in the vicinity, although expensive, better off buying drinks and bringing them back to the hostel

Pleasant stay. Couldn't be any better backpacker hostel out there with so many facilities provided with this price. Hope they keep this up as I'll definitely come back to this hostel if I visit JB again.

I stayed here twice. Love the hostel due to its cleanliness and cozy feeling. Would be better if it provides muslim facilities (Prayer room and direction Qiblah). suitable for young couples but not for family as the bathroom is sharing basis. nearby to Giant Shopping mall and provide rental car for RM 88 per day (Toyota Avanza)

Extremely poor sound insulation”
I like the place for its simple concept. The staff seemed to be waiting for me to check in and I felt good when he greeted me by my name almost instantly after I acknowledged that I booked the room through Agoda. I like their activity area with some games. However, there's this big and unavoidable problem of having inconsiderate guests around who make noises even at 3am. The snoring of the guest staying opposite my room was like thunder roaring. In the morning, I realised the gap below the door was quite big and thus any noise outside could easily reach me. The walls were very thin as well. Thus, there's this big issue of lack of privacy since the conversation between couples inside the rooms would be heard by everyone else outside and at the next room. In the morning, when the staffs were talking at the reception counter, I could hear them too!

Clean & easy”
Ive been to europe and UK hostel , but this hostel is just special. Its clean , comfortable and easy to move around. There's Giant & Tesco nearby. Its highly recommended for those who plan to stay in JB for more than a week. Try it ! No regrets ;)

Very clean and value for money”
take 10min taxi ride to Legoland (RM25 for blue taxi) and CW6 bus (going to CIQ 2nd link) is just outside the shopping mall. For weekend or holiday, there are even public transport to/ from legoland.

amazingly clean, organized and cozy”
I looooooved this hostel. Coming from scummy places, this was a gem! It had a new car smell, was so clean and well thought out. I could have stayed here for a week, the bed was cozy and clean! If you are in JB, staying here is a must!

Security is the main problem”
The theme hostel is nicely decorated and clean. I reached at night for check-in but no one available to attend us. Gave them a phone call and the door access password is given to me without verifying me or asking for any details. So the security is quite low. Anyone can just call and password is given to access to the hostel. The location of the hostel is just opposite Giant, it is very convenient but in the night there are a few lounge at the same row of shops and no parking space available and noisy too. The safety of the guest in the hostel should be concern on. As I felt quite dangerous that anyone can access to the hostel and just pick up a room key into the room and left the hostel without any payment.

+ near a TESCO and walking distance to a big shopping mall with cinema + lots to eat nearby (although a lot is chinese with chinese menus) + very clean and comfortable room + kitchen was well equipped and toilets weren’t bad cleanliness wise either - Don’t book this hotel if you’re looking to explore Johor centre, as it is too far out. - We asked reception about a bus to the centre (as a grab was to expensive) but he spoke little English to was unable to help.

The room was nicely decorated complete with aircond and towels. The security/check-in system after 5pm is a good implementation on the hostel operation system. Affordable and convenient for young travelers who are looking for simple yet cozy place to stay in JB. I enjoyed my stay there.
