Can't open windows”
It was very hot in the room and no way to open window enough to cool it off. I changed to an outside room but that did not help. I got what I paid for! Next time I would pay more for air conditioning.

Good location”
Dated hotel, but room itself is comfortable and spacious. However, check-in is 4pm and early check-in costs £15. So unless you want to check in after 4pm, it is not good value

The Roundhouse”
To be fair if you are looking for a cheap hotel this is ok and the rooms are pretty decent. It is very dated though and needs a refurb to bring it up to decent standards. I won’t be staying again, as I have found other hotels for future trips at similar rates.

Tiles falling off, cracked soap dish”
The room was hot, a tiles was hanging off in the shower, they had repaired the soap dish, but it was still cracked. Not a nice warm experience.

Lazy attitude, not worth the money”
I paid nearly two hundred pounds, only to find out that you have to pay more to park at their carpark. The hotel is a tired and outdated Britannia hotel brand, which honestly needs knocking down and rebuilding from the ground up. The layout of the hotel is weird, with the ground floor making up the reception, and then 3 floors of car parking and then 4 floors of rooms. The corridors have stains throughout, and it's obviously used as a cheap hotel for stag and hen dos. The hot water tap in my bathroom sink didn't work and the shower was pathetic. Breakfast was a buffet, but it was clear the member of staff didn't want to talk to us, not even explaining that "it's self service, please help yourself" Overall, we couldn't wait to leave and glad that we only stayed the one night.

Rounhouse in July 2009”
We stayed in an inside room in the Roundhouse hotel in July, 2009. We navigated the parking, if you like a bit of a challenge you should try this as the carparking is tight! However, to balance that it is also free in an expensive car parking town. Reception was clearly busy, but efficient and staff well trained. The lift provided some challenges and refused to go up for some reason we couldn't work out. However, again some patience, and possibly luck the thing wafted upwards to the 6th floor. On the whole we enjoyed our stay and would recommend for a slightly different experience.

Location great, hotel a little tired”
The hotel is in a great location in Bournemouth, close to the beach and the shops and train station. I booked the hotel through Agoda as they offered free WiFi in the rooms, this however, is not the case. As with the whole of the hotel the WiFi router got wet during rain and has not yet been repaired, I did get the distinct impression that this was not recent and one of the many things that needs upgrading. My first room had a TV in it that when you turned it on the interference was so bad that you had to turn up the volume in order to try and hear the presenters which in fact only turned up the interference. I was able to get another room, this one had a TV which worked but was set to a really low volume, fine if you sat totally still and both the TV's like the rest of the hotel were old and a little tired. It's such a shame as this hotel is in a great location with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff but it really needs updating as for one night it was perfect but I wouldn't have stayed for longer. I did not eat at the hotel although I had to provide a rating.

Overnight stay to visit my son.”
The price of the room was brilliant and well worth it. Had tea/coffee making facilities, TV, comfy huge bed, sparkling clean bed linen and towels with 2 small bars of soap which was great for me as I had forgotten mine. Staff appeared helpful and friendly. The hotel looked like it was very grand in it's time and my room although was obviously once lvly looked a bit tired, stain on the chair and carpet, wall paper coming away. Sad really as it wouldn't take much to sort it out then maybe people would be happier to stay. For me it was ideally situated and everything I needed. I will definitely revisit.

Great location but rooms need a facelift!”
The Roundhouse Hotel is very central located so that was a plus, it was only a five minute walk to the main walking street where all the shops are and 5 minutes walk to the beach. The rooms need to be refurbished as the furniture are quite old. The only problem was the noice, even with our windows closed whe could hear shouting and partying all night long. There is no double glazing.

Spacious Room”
Really good value for money. Warm room, big bed. Reception check in very friendly and efficient. Bar staff a bit brusque no attempt at conversation. Night porter arrangement a little problematic, was questioned on inviting relatives to my room after the main door had closed. A little embarrassing to be honest. Other than that a great hotel.

Good price”
You get what you pay for - a good price for a clean, well located hotel served with direct buses to town centre and sea front. However, the hotel is getting slightly tired and should consider planning a make-over for next season.

Unusual Hotel”
There are some good points to this hotel; its central location, size of rooms and convenient car parking. But it is like stepping back into the past or a derelict building. Britannia cannot justify charging their usual rates for this hotel as it is not at a standard that you would expect. Its a quirky building in a great location but it needs a total refurbishment. Embarrassment to overseas visitors in the fantastic British seaside resort of Bournemouth.

If you need Internet DON'T STAY. Staff not helpful”
I was here as an international nursing student. I stayed the night before my final exam and I still had a handful of assignments to complete before the morning requiring me to use the Internet. I had called ahead to inquire about the Internet because it was not as advertised on a previous stay as well. It was so-so when I got there, only working in the lobby. I prefer to work in the quiet of my room, but will do what I must to pass my nursing exam. An hour into working in the lobby the Internet went down. All those also working online experienced it as we'll. we spoke to the manager who started trying to help and then his shift ended and he disappeared! With no word! Staff tried for a moment and then said.. Sorry nothing we can do. I asked if they called the ISP to ask for help. No.. We can do that tomorrow. But I need it tonight!! Sorry ma'am it's not my job. Who's is it then? The managers. Well where is he? Gone for the night. Can you call him? This is important! No. I asked to be switched to their sister hotel and was told no bc their rate is higher that night. She offered I could walk there and sit and do my work. I had to take all my things and sit in another hotels FREEZING lobby until 3am to used the Internet which kept failing there too. But at least they would fix it each time!! No apologies, no free breakfast, no sympathy. If I weren't so focused on what I had to do, I would have raised more issues, I was so mad.
